Dark Heresy Errata
When new errata is released (or bugs are found in the character generator), the generator is updated to reflect the new, correct information. However, this sometimes means that existing characters are no longer "correct" and must be updated as well. Some changes are automatically factored in (e.g. new skills added), but occasionally some changes require new rolls or new choices on the part of the players.
Whenever a character sheet is affected by errata, a note appears on the sheet informing players that they should check this page to determine if they need to make any changes to their existing character. If you have reached this page via the note on your sheet, please review the following list:
- Guardsmen created after October 31, 2008 and before February 16, 2009 may lack the Basic Weapon Training (Las) skill. There was some confusion on whether it was a three-option choice (with Primitive and SP), but the most recent errata clarifies the issue. If you have already selected BWT(L), please add BWT(P) or BWT(SP); otherwise, simply add BWT(L) to your list.
- Characters hailing from Sinophia lose the Superior Origins trait (+3 WP) and gain the Liturgical Familiarity trait. The WP change has already been recalculated on your character sheets, and the new skills have been added.
- Characters with the Living Nightmare starting package receive 1d10 Insanity points, not 1d5. This has not been calculated for you, since it requires a new roll.
- Noble Born were not receiving the proper amount of Thrones (the Wealth trait doubles their starting Thrones). All existing Noble Born characters have had their sheets modified to reflect this.
- Characters from Sinophia, Volg-Hive and Maccabeus Quintus were mixed up on completed character sheets. This has been corrected. (It did not affect character generation, as it was merely a display error.)
- Battlefleet Calixis weren't receiving the +5 Strength from Close-Quarter Fighter.
