As promised in the last Bleach Quest (Because plate armor is awesome, and black plate armor more so), I return with this.

So. You died. And while it wasn’t exactly unexpected that you would (everyone dies after all), but that there was, well, THIS after all that is… unexpected.

How did you die anyway?

>[ ] Fire. Lots and lots of fire.
>[ ] All you remember is choking in a cloud of gas.
>[ ] There was a wall. They wouldn’t let you over. Not alive anyway.
>[ ] They came in. They shoved you and several others against a wall. You heard the bolt of an AK being pulled back and then nothing.
>[ ] A bus. A freaking bus! HOW DO YOU EVEN NOT NOTICE THAT?

[x]Auto-erotic asphyxiation

We were a cynical deviant that crossed all the lines for our lewd desires. Unfortunately, we fell unconscious during masturbation and/or choking ourselves and landed into our pillow, smothering ourself.

When we breached the door a cartel member got off a lucky shot before our squad mates dropped him.
>>
>>25629679
Then fluff it up a bit.

We were wearing historically correct roman armor. In a skyscraper. On St. Patrick's day.
>>
We decided this batman thing was cool and we should totally do it ourselves. We got shot. Repeatedly. In various vital organs
>>
>>25629718
How about just the roman armor. We pretend to be part of a dead roman legion. But really we died jacking off. Brilliant. I hope OP didn't jump ship.
>>
>>25629759
YES.
>>
>>25629718
It was a sex party. We dressed as a legionnaire and for "punishment" we tied us to the entry door for asphyxiation.
Then the room service came, opened the door, and we chocked to death because we were an idiot who tied the rope too tight to the knob.
>>
>>25629718
Right, but ultimately we died alone. Loved by friends and family, but uninterested in spending what turned out to be our last act with anyone else. I guess to me, masturbation is just masturbation, whatever detailed or routine form it takes. If choking yourself out gets you off, that's nice, but it doesn't really seem like that unique or noteworthy a thing.
>>
It looks like Auto-Erotic Asphyxiation is winning.

Writing up now then (Unless something else somehow wins.)
>>
>>25629786

Yeah. They all remember it at first, but eventually it fades. Eventually being decades later.
>>
>>25629856
Got'cha. So, we're playing as a vanilla auto-erotic asphyxiation aficionado or are we going full sub for once?
>>
So we can be history buffs right? We actually know enough to imitate a roman legionnaire right?
>>
We have just recreated the centurion from the Venture bros season 2 episode 1.
>>
>>25629800
Why would OP not jump ship on this?
Fucksake guys
>>
>>25629878
Ooooo, do we get to fight our hollowified ex-mistress? Or maybe an arrancar former master? Or maybe not fight them at all?
>>
This is like the third currently ongoing Bleach Quest if Im not mistaken
>>
>>25629883
Why? We're gonna end up with significantly more modern plate armor.
>>
>>25629913
We will see.
>>
>>25629896
Because we took a retarded idea and we're willing to play it straight. I mean yeah, It's autoerotic asphyxiation, but we're using that as an excuse to lie about our death. That way we can pretend to be a legionnaire.
>inb4 why not just make them an actual legionnaire
Because it's funnier if he isn't
>>
>>25629786
>>25629789

It was Saint Patrick's day. There was a party. A rather unseemly costume party truth be told. You came as a roman legionnaire, and after a few drinks ended up in a rather embarrassing situation. You'd heard about it before, Auto Erotic Asphyxiation, and decided to try it. Pity the door handle you tied yourself too opened outwards and you ended up stuck.

Honestly, there's far worse ways to go but you consider yours to be rather far up there. Not that you'd tell anyone about it, hell, you didn't even tell the Reaper that purified you how you died.

As you choked to death in your authentic roman armor, what was the last thought that went through your head - besides that in hindsight trying this at a swingers party was a rather bad idea?

A mixture of regret and interest were what defined your final moments. You never really accomplished anything, but what came next was something you wanted to see. Floating around as a ghost was fun for a while, before you got purified. Surprisingly, no one fucked your corpse, but they didn't figure out you were dead until after the party. You got send into the Soul Kingdom before you could attend your own funeral.

It was a rather shitty place, until you got into the castle program.

You barely remember your death now, and whenever the subject came up among the other squires you quickly changed the topic. It took a couple of years, but you were able to ascend to knighthood surprisingly fast. You learned the sword, the thirteen Orders, and prepared yourself for this day. Your first attempt to summon your lorica.

Idily, you wonder what it will look like before focusing inwards as the head of the Fifth Order looks on.

>There are many different Soul Societies throughout the world. You ended up in the European equivalent due to you well, dying in Europe.
>The rough zanpakto equivalent is the lorica, your armor soul. For what is a knight without his armor? The same as a samurai without his sword. One cannot exist separate from the other. It operates roughly on the same principles of the Zanpakto (Two release states, individuals have unique variations of it, 'spirits' inside of them) except, well. It's armor. Oh great, he's a snarky armor spirit to boot. At least you seem to have made a good first impression. Sometimes they try to kill their weilder during the first meeting.

As the eagles scream above, you ask a single question:

"What is your name?"

"You know it. Say it, and I will march."

You think for a few seconds, before the answer comes to you, and you speak it, the world around you falling apart as you shift back into reality.

"March, Lamancha"

Back in reality, you notice the Fifth Head nodding his approval.

"You pass. Welcome to the Fifth Order, Sir Jack. That's quite an interesting first release shape, if I may say so."

>[X] Take your new duds out for a spin

"Thank you, Sir Maxwell."

The Head gives a nondismissal wave of his hand. "Think nothing of it. I'll provide your first solo assignment tomorrow; in the meantime enjoy yourself."

You leave Sir Maxwell behind in search of two things: A mirror and someone to help you figure out what the fuck you actually can do with Lamancha.

The first is easy enough, the hall of mirrors providing a quick look at your new form.

The Roman eagle proudly graces the front of your shield (Chained to your left arm) and your breastplate is reminiscent of the lorica segmenta of Imperial Rome, overlapping plates of black armor flexing with your movements. Miniature chains are etched around your neck, with real full scale ones wrapping around your arms. The rest of your armor takes its cues from gladiatorial pieces in slight deviation from standard plate armor.

In short, you look... well, like some odd gladiator. Not horrible, but not elegant or refined in the way you hoped. Still, at least it isn't the outfit you died in. It's conspicuously lacking a helmet, but that's normal.

With that out of the way, you ponder where to go to see if those chains are just for show.

HA! What do you think we are? Head of the 7th order?
>>
>>25631659
Probably fae, goblins, witches (maybe not that one), demons...that kind of thing.

GET A HOLD of yourself. That's not till episode 563.
>>
>>25631639
Makes sense. Very clever OP.
>>
>>25631659
I think we just have Hollows. I mean hollows aren't taken directly from Japanese mythology, so I assume that'd be the one thing we keep the same.
>>
>>25631549
So our loricas name is Lamancha but we are roman legionnaire and not a glorious deluded knight?

Also how would the South American soul society be like? What weapon would they use?
>>
>>25631636
What are you, Greek? Wanting another of Daedalus or Archimedes' monstrous constructions instead of leading you own army into battle...tisk tisk.
>>
>>25631719
Smuggled in revolvers from dead North American reapers.
>>
>>25631719
Machetes.
>>
>>25631748
Yep, that and also machetes, knives, rifles, clubs whatever they cant think of. They are a resourceful bunch
>>
R&D. Exposition is a wonderful thing. Or ask Lamancha what it wants to do. It's stuck to us-thinking of it as a tool is...not wise. Also, the chains around the neck are a cheeky reference on its' part.
>>
>>25631782
>>25631748
>>25631792
I just remembered that Mexico isn't South America.
>>
>>25631568
"Pff..wait, chains?"

"Oh god, you seriously...? Oh wow. I cannot--JIM! JIM, GET OVER HERE! CHECK THIS GUY OUT!"
>>
>>25631716
Huh, I always associated them with their concepts of animal spirits and...local gods formed from concentrations of negative emotions. I suppose you're right though.
>>
>>25631719
What are you talking about. We are a most glorious and honorable knight in attire that is most suitable for a knight doing knighty stuff because he is a knight. I have no idea where you would get the idea that our armor is that of some Roman barbarian. For it is us imperator Jack the greatest knight who shall ever live. We shall destroy heathens and wizards and serpents of sin with our amazing honorable might as a knight for that is what we are and what our armor is of.
>>
>>25631811
>chains on neck
Fuck I just got that. I just assumed our main attack would be using chains as a noose. I wouldn't mind that honestly, it's badass. Choking bitches out.
>>
>>25631590
>>25631592
Combination of these two has my vote
>>
>>25631825
Yeah, I mean we could probably call them something different but we should keep them the same overall I think. So what should we call Quincies? Faggots?
>>
I think I'm going to call it for tonight here you guys, so question time for everyone!

Also, some feedback on how I'm running would be nice

>>25631639
>Basically this. Got it in one.
>>25631659
>Hollows are hollows. There is only one Heco Mundo, though they tend to take forms more like >>25631681 'round these parts.
>>25631608
1st: General Combat Order. Think 11, and then fill it with Vikings.
2nd: Intelligence
3rd: Support group. Think 4th Division and you get the idea
4th: Research and Development
5th: Recon company
6th: Logistics Order - they handle supplies and running a lot of shit. Lots of antagonism between them and Fourth Order
Seventh: Magick Corps
8th: Law Enforcement Order AKA the Paladins. They make sure the Soul Kingdom keeps itself stable and punish lawbreakers among the Orders.
9 through 13: General Patrol Orders. They're your general boots on the ground who chase after hollows.
>>25631719
For the first, well, hey, my original idea was 'Ferrus'. But March, Lamancha sounds a lot better than "Strike Ferrus" in my head.

As for the second, South America and Africa's soul societies are rather isolationist.

Australia's claims it gets the short end of the stick Hollow wise with them being far more lethal there than any other continent but this claim hasn't been tested mostly because the researchers have all died.
>>
>>25631846
ooh Lamancha you sneaky bastard. I love it
>>
>>25631873
Shifting mine to learning from Sancho as well.
>>
>>25631823
People would more likely assume we were hanged. Or at least they wouldn't assume...that.
>>
>>25631895
So can our main attack be choking people out with our bitching chains?
>>
>>25631895
I like what you are saying about sa, africa and australia.
Also do hollows have a spanish motif in europe or that changes with the region?
>>
>>25631951
Yes. Yes it can be.
>>25631955
Yeah, spanish motif remains constant.
>>
>>25631977
So wait, let me think...

Attack one: Go from behind and use our chain like piano wire to choke them out.

Attack two: make a noose, and swing it like a lasso, then get someone by the neck and pull. SNAP!
>>
>>25632031
Yes.

Also, legion of roman soldier dudes. We were part of a Frat-house Cohort, all dressed as legionnaires[/spoilers]
>>
>>25632031
Attack three: Wrap chains around your fists and punch them.
>>
>>25632031
But we should have something that prevents us from being to op. Like if we over force the chains or throw them too far, the chains around our neck constricts.
>>
>>25632082
No, I mean preventing us from being op is as simple as letting people block the chains. Also, those would be special attacks, the basic attack would probably be
>>25632079
Or just whipping them with a chain.
>>
>>25632031
Attack four, traditional chain whips (can function similarly to the lasso if used correctly)
Attack five, the chain ends morph into meat hooks
Attack six, the chains become rigid acne can be used as either spears or spiked clubs.
So many other potential uses, but considering that we're recon I'm thinking subtle strangulation should be our bread and butter.
>>
>>25629796
Aaaand dropped. Because I dont want to bother with the "every quest should be lulzsorandumb" crowd.
>>
>>25632031
>>25632079
>>25632161
OP, does this work? I'm thinking the basic would be attack 4, and our go to special attack would be attack 1.
>>
>>25632215
>2 hours later
If you'd read the thread you'd realize we actually played it straight.
>>
>>25631895
Just wanted to say I've been enjoying the quest so far. Thanks for running ArmorGuy.
>>
>>25632161
final attack, the chains turn into a giant box and we disappear
>>
>>25632237
Agreed. I hope to do this again soon.
>>
>>25632240
Can the box look like its made of cardboard?
>>
>>25632218
So how about
3 and 4 are basic attacks
1 and 2 require an extra roll for dexterity
5 and 6 are kido based magic
>>25632240
No idea what this would be.
>>
>>25632218
Basically. Though remember you still have your basic sword, though it's far less effective against Hollows than a zanpakto would be.

Also, the chains are attached to the shield as well. Go nuts with thinking about what can be done with that.
>>25632237
>>25632262
Thanks. Not sure when I'll run this next but it's been fun taking AutoEroticAsphixiation and turning it into a valid powerset with an interesting application and character ramifications. Especially since we played this straight as >>25632235 said.

By the way, Second Release ideas are going totally nutso in my mind. So many possibilities...
>>
I'm thinking that along with each chain that wraps around an enemy convinces them of some fact or another with certainty to a level of madness. The first one we always use is that we are wearing the armor of a grand and gallant knight (not that we aren't) I figure this gives us a nice way of representing the name of the armor and its' form.
>>
>>25629796
>>25629796
and dropped, because the "every quest should be completely silly for us lulsorandumbs" crowd is the biggest group of faggots ever.

Congrats on pandering op.
>>
>>25632314
We get something that could be either a hangman mask or leather gear perhaps?
>>
>>25632314
>Also, the chains are attached to the shield...
Anyone else suddenly considering the upgraded Captain America route?
>>
>>25632314
Bankai(or other applicable phrase) the impossible dream.
>>
>>25632361
Congrats on failing to read the thread.
>>
>>25632314
OH SHIT WE RYGAR NOW
>>
>>25632360
i like this. our second should probably be to make them think they can't make any noise. Recon and all that
>>
>>25632407
So like Captain americe, except if we miss we can pull it back with chains?
>>
>>25632431
Yes as we slowly bind them into a world of nothing more than delusions before we deliver the finishing blow
>>
>>25632473
So this is for powerful enemies right? Because the weak ones just get choked out.
>>
>>25632448
or use the shield like a ridiculously long flail. This has some pretty crazy possibilities if we get creative
>>
>>25632124
>whipping them with a chain
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWXIU0emLvU
>>
>>25632506
We block every direction by swinging our shield chain in circles. Or we just hit people with it awkwardly. I love it.
>>
>>25631719
Aztecs.
>>
>>25632361
Hey, it's a legit way to die, and DID give me a lot of material to work with powerwise and characterwise. I also doubt that you even read the fucking thread.

Also, Bleach Quest proper is up gents. >>25632059
Note to the Archivefags, make sure to note that this isn't the actual Bleach quest and to mark it as such. I don't want to step on any toes.

If this doesn't get an archive, I'm fine with that (there's always Foolz)
>>
>>25632314
>Second Release idea
No directly applicable, but out of curiosity have you ever read the Malazan Books of the Fallen? Because I think Dragnipur could serve as an interesting inspiration point, though maybe its just my affection for Rake clouding my judgement.
>>
It's funny how our character's innuendo's are less blatant than an actual Bleach character's.
>>
>>25632563
No actually, I keep meaning to but I never do.
>>
I always though US ss would be wild west themed, gun slingers with native american remnants, like the kido system being shamanistic.
>>
>>25632421
I read the thread. It was op pandering to faggots that needed to be ignored.
>>
>>25632544
Aztecs are mexicans son.North America
>>
Are there any drawfags here?
>>
>>25632730
...We have one quite dedicated troll here don't we?
>>
>>25632910
Ignore it and let the thread drift away.
>>
Would somebody please archive this. For alas archiving is not among my many great skills.
>>
You tagged the quest wrong on suptg.
