That's it. I'm sick of all this "Masterwork T-34" bullshit that's going on in the d20 system right now. The Panther deserve much better than that. Much, much better than that.

I should know what I'm talking about. I myself commissioned a genuine Panther Ausf A in Germany for 117,100 RM (that's about $40,000 ) and have been practicing with it for almost 2 years now. I can even pierce slabs of solid IS-2 with my 7.5cm Kwk 42.

German engineers spend more man hours than necessary working on a single Panther and fold it up to a million times to produce the finest tanks known to mankind.

Panthers are thrice as deadly as Soviet tank and thrice as heavy for that matter too. Anything tank a T-34 can knock out, a Panter can take out better. I'm pretty sure a Panther could easily bisect a Soviet tankmen driving an uparmored T-72 with a simple Pzgr. 39/42.

Ever wonder the medieval USSR never bothered conquering Germany? That's right, they were too scared to fight the disciplined Panzertruppen and their Panthers of destruction. Even in World War II, Soviet soldiers targeted the men with the Panthers first because their killing power was feared and respected.

So what am I saying? Panthers are simply the best tanks that the world has ever seen, and thus, require better stats in the d20 system. Here is the stat block I propose for Panthers:

Panther Ausf. A (tracked tank)
Crew: 5
Pass: Tank Desant, motherfucker
Cargo: 250kg
Init: +4
Maneuver: +4
Top Speed: 120 (12)
Def: 10

Now that seems a lot more representative of the blitzkrieg of the Panthers in real life, don't you think?

Trust me, there will be less pain and tears that way.

Few things are as bad as running around a tier 9 battle with a tank you will be losing money on if you don't do decent damage, and a gun that can only hurt the enemy with shots to the ass.

That said, fully upgraded the 29 is a beast. That 105mm will rip most tanks a new one, especially if they're crazy enough to lock horns with you and can't get a shot at your hull.

Honestly when I had my III/IV I rocked the shit out of M4's and IV's all the time. It has great slope and maneuverability, but it doesn't lead to the 3601H anymore which is a tragedy.

Depends which tank you're aiming for down the line.
Both tanks can use the decent 7,5 L48, but IV can also choose to use the 10,5 L28 derpgun instead. III/IV has touch better armor and engine.

Unless you find the HE howitzer gameplay more enjoyable, I think III/IV is better. Looks better too.

Medium line is good- M48 is generally is generally used as a support tank for heavy pushes in end-game- they've got the maneuverablity to be decent flankers as well. They also make pretty decent passive scouts since they've got some of the best view range in the game.

Compare with the T62A or BatChat 25t which are far faster and more maneuverable. However, the T62A's gun, while decently accurate, is kind of anemic as far as far as damage goes. The BatChat has some of the best burst-damage in the game, on the other hand (4x 105mm rounds at ~400 damage a piece.) but it's helpless during reloads and has absolutely no defense besides being fast. The M48 is more of a middle-ground between Mediums and Heavies- it's faster than a heavy, but has more bulk and staying power in a fight than a medium.

I'm actually considering selling my PzIV after 8.6 and getting a III/IV- the 105 derp was really it's only big advantage, other than the ability to one-shot most Tier IVs, the PzIII/IV's much better.

I however love my panther, it never gets old pulling some stunts to take down a target that thinks he has you dead to rights just because he managed to close the distance.
