Wiki:
http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Blatant_Fetish_Quest

Previously on Blatant Fetish Quest, our protagonist, Max Power, learned that 'he' was actually a female with male genitalia, as a result of having an incubus as a father. Three years later, Max flew to Romania to enroll at the prestigious Scholomance, a school for magic, meeting Liz, your new girlfriend, on the way. On arriving in Romania, you learned that the Scholomance is extremely deadly and that only half of each class proceeds to the next grade each year.

You joined the Lotus prestige society, and befriended Lotuses. Upon arriving at the Scholomance, a city-sized school hidden in a cave that's bigger on the inside, you discovered a tower and found your father chained up in the basement. You're currently trying to balance Dextra Domini, rivals, commitments to your society, relationships, and studying while trying to survive.

You're half-way through November. Your first two dryads hatched and your mommy-instincts kicked into high gear. You survived a mysterious attacker. You've been perfecting your body.

You just rang the heavy bells of the Lotus with a clear, crisp tone.

What do you do now?
>>
I believe we were heading back to the tower, since it was getting late. So let's do that.
>>
>>24436538
we head back to the tower like we planned last time, but now we feel good about our selves having rung the bell.
>>
>>24436538
fuck yeah, bfq!

for the moment, let's head home.

What the next time skip planed, if there any? and what's the current status with Pierre?
>>
>>24436538
go home we got projects to work on.
>>
You head back out of the cave. You may not have gotten a lot done, but you got some answers, and got to have fun chatting to Carl, who feels equal parts wise grandfather and cool uncle when you talk to him. Plus, you got to ring those bells, which makes you feel pretty fantastic about yourself. After being forced to confront the various things you've been neglecting lately, it's good to have some validation for the time you spent advancing your physical augments in the past couple weeks.

You set out into the dark city-school, trying to soar across the rooftops.

Roll Body to get quickly and safely back home. You get a +3 for Strength, a +3 for Speed, and a +2 for Coordination. I'll consider the first twelve linked 1d100 rolls.

Also, some people have asked if Stamina is a valid augment. It is. It affects everything from athletic endurance to poison resistance.

You get a much better run in on your way back than you did on the way over. You soar across the dark rooftops, even taking on tricky but time-saving leaps and obstacles. You coast on in to your tower at a slow jog when you reach it, finding the entrance empty. Your daughters should be asleep - they'll be in trouble if they aren't - and Liz might be too with how late it is. You might get her in trouble if she's still awake too, since she's been pulling too many all-nighters on her spirit forge.

>>
You decide to check in on all of your girls. You find your daughters asleep in their rooms. Alison is asleep in her crib, snuggling her dragon plushie under her UV lamp. Selene is sprawled out with Fap resting on her chest, but her blanket is on the floor and her lamp is off. You tuck her in, give her a kiss, and turn her lamp on to help make sure she won't be groggy in the morning.

You head to the bedroom, half-expecting to find it empty with Liz busy at work in the basement, but you find her lying in bed, fast asleep with an open book on her chest. You tuck her in too, setting aside the book with a bookmark for when she wakes up.

With that done, you text your mom to tell her that Alison has hatched and is doing just great, along with sending her the pictures that you've already started snapping today.

>>
You head up to where your dad is still working on gathering spirits for the ecosystem. They're more than half-collected at this point, bundled up in stasis in a cardboard box in the inbound room. It's far from the most sophisticated setup, but it doesn't really need to be when it comes to the storage. Most of these spirits are mindless and wouldn't be of any risk even if they stopped being held in stasis.

"Hey, Max," your dad says, looking up as you enter. There's a small pile of temporary foci in the circle. He's probably preparing to get another spirit, pre-planned and carefully chosen, same as all the others. "Are you here to lend a hand, ask a question, or just hang out with your dad?"

What do you say?
>>
>>24437503
Definitely lend a hand.
Ask about the spiritual ecosystem, and see if our soul can be put to the use of steering the conversation to our mortality.
>>
>>24437503
For starters, let's help.
Ask if he is done with planning the summoning of the more complexe spirits (the solar one for instance).

"Helping for now," you say, sitting down next to him. "Questions later. Quality time with my dad the whole time."

"That's what I like to hear," he says, grinning at you. "Go ahead and give me a hand with this. I set aside some additional foci in case you or Lunch wanted to help me out. You might need to grab this one too. It's not dangerous, but it likes to hide and is good at burrowing."

Roll Samyaza's Conjuration. He gets a +1 from Max helping him, a +5 from temporary foci, and a +5 from the permanent foci that he and Lunch built into the inbound circle for summoning and teleportation in the past two weeks. A strain-mitigation focus will be used. I'll consider the first fifteen linked 1d100 rolls.

You snatch the little bastard off the ground before it can get away, being careful not to accidentally crush it in your hand. Your dad comes over with a pre-prepared stasis band - which is just a rubber band with certain binding and dormancy wards built into it - and puts it quickly and with very little fuss around it. As soon as the band snaps on, the spirit goes limp, curling up into a little ball. You put it in the big cardboard box with the others.

"What kind of spirit was that?" you ask.

"Scavenger spirit," he says. "Consumes detritus from fragments of other spirits, its waste energy feeds Earth spirits. It's mostly just to make sure that predator spirits don't leave waste around when it could be going towards the ecosystem's health."

"Oh, cool," you say. "So, what you mentioned on Halloween, about me dying and Hell and stuff. I'm interested in hearing more."

Sadness almost instantly touches the corners of your dad's eyes. "Okay," he says, though. "Come on up to the sitting room. It will be more comfortable there, and this will probably be a long talk. I imagine you have a lot of questions."

The two of you head on up and take a seat. He takes a deep breath and begins. "So, before you ask anything, I just want to provide you with some very important context. Humans and spirits didn't used to die. They were timeless, ageless, unharrassed by infirmity or injury. That was the first thing that YHWH broke the first time humans disobeyed Him. It was as punishment, bringing them down to the level of mere animals, doomed to age, take ill, be crippled, and die. That's not how it was supposed to work, and that colors everything that follows. So, what do you want to know, then?"

What do you ask?
>>
>>24438243
This is a dumb idea, anyway. Liz will fucking hate us for doing it, so there's no point in trying. We don't need them to like us.
>>
>>24438159
Let's not. Liz would definitely not appreciate that.
>>
>>24438249
Make it clear to him before we continue that we are ASKING, not ordering by way of the blood bond. If he really doesn't want to talk about it, we won't force him.
>>
>>24438249
"I'm not even going to put specifics on what may happen to Liz for the sake of my sanity, but...is there anything I would be able to do about that when I get there?"
>>
>>24438249
What happens to souls when they reach an afterlife. We've summoned up a ghost before, so we've met a soul, and it seemed confused and broken more than anything else. Does everyone end up like that in the afterlife?
>>
>>24438267

Yeah, I feel this is a good idea. I second it.

"That was part of the whole eating of the tree of life and death thing? Getting kicked out of Eden?"

Then specifically ask 1)if we have a true name, 2) where our soul will end up when we die, and 3) Is hell the fire-and-brimstone thing you hear about in sermons and cartoons?
>>

>>
>>24438326
Yes we do have a plan. But unlike our own near immorality we need to master Living alchemy to do it to her as opposed to our-self and we aren't allowed to teach her how to do it for herself.

On top of that we plan to make us both live even longer than reduced aging augs allow, by using living alchemy to make both of us new bodies when we get old and then transfer our minds and souls but that has lots more risk than reduced aging so we plan to combine them. We also want to let her get her own method if possible.
>>
"That was the fall from paradise, then?" you ask. "Getting kicked out of Eden?"

"That was allegory," he says, "But yes. It was for questioning his motives, seeking outside knowledge, trying to slip the leash. It seemed so innocent, especially to use, the beginning of the Grigori, and his reaction... He killed you. All of you. It may come slowly, over the course of a life, but every last human who's ever died was killed by that decision of his."

"So, where does my soul end up when I die, then?" you ask.

"Purgatory," he says sadly. "The system was never designed to handle spirits the size of a human soul. They sit in the realm of Purgatory until all of the memories, the personality, the everything slowly slips away, until all that's left is the soul, a mote of energy and spiritual matter. Once they're clean and ready, one of Heaven's psychopomps brings it to Heaven which is... Well, it's where souls return. This is hard to explain."

He pauses for a moment.

"All souls - human souls, animal souls, start as a fragment split off from YHWH, sent out to being energy back to Him. Animal souls were supposed to grow big, then come back to get reabsorbed. Human souls were supposed to grow big, then send energy to Heaven through worship. It was a great experiment, something new. After being broken, well, now they do both. Give worship in life, and get reabsorbed in death."

What do you say or ask in response to that?
>>
>>24438405

>>24438424

"Was the worship from humans meant to supplant the soulstuff spent to create their souls? Or is there just an infinite amount of YHWH?

Also, it seems like God chilled out a lot between the Old Testament and the New Testament. Did the whole 'son of God' thing chill him out some?"

>>
>>24438446

>>
>>24438446

>>
>>24438424
"So it's like some kind of...hybrid of all the big religions that speak of afterlife, then. There is an afterlife, but it's more like a...fermenting tank. Huh. I guess humans picked and chose what parts they liked to hear and we got what we have today?"

"So getting to hell is escaping with my memories to a place outside of YHWH's influence or something? Could I find the others, like Liz, and bring them with me, or would I get in trouble for that?"
>>
Wait. Are Incubi and Succubi the humans who defied the change to mortality? That would explain a whole lot. Also, incredibly ironic when looking at societies like DD and MM. Heh.
>>
>>24438499
No, they are the angels that rebeled
>>
>>24438499
At this point, if things are implied like how I think they're implied, getting sent to hell would actually be a blessing in disguise. It seems DD's methods go against their intentions. If they wanted to really threaten souls of the damned, they'd either manually destroy their souls, or, like MM, deny them release into Hell.
>>
"What about Hell?" you ask. "You said that's where I would end up if I was lucky."

"Hell was the Rebellion's answer to the Purgatory problem," he says, still clearly sad. "The Morningstar carved out a new realm, far from YHWH's influence, with the help of his follower-brothers, myself included. We couldn't bear how he treated the angels, and then to top it off what he did to humans... 'Better to rule in Hell than serve in Heaven.' So, we tried to make our own society, the free city of Limbo in the first circle. We would snatch souls from Purgatory, ones that still had their memories. Doubting ones that wouldn't try to resist us to get back to YHWH. It was the afterlife mirror of our projects in the physical world, the sister city to Sodom and Gomorrah."

"And the worship, that was..."

"That was how YHWH intended to recover the cost of making the souls. They were like... Upgraded versions of animal souls. Instead of growing big and then being reabsorbed, they would grow big and then give off a steady stream of energy to be recollected. Big investment for an eternal, steady gain. That was the theory back then, anyway. Hell, that original design is why spirits like you and me can feed off of humans - they designed to squirt out their essence."

What do you say or ask in response to that?
>>
>>24438516
Doi. Slipped my mind completely.

It seems all afterlife-focused religions are different derivatives are details of the whole system. Reincarnation cycle, heaven and hell, nirvana, it all seems to fit somewhere in the big puzzle.
>>
>>24438531
"Sounds like a nice place, at the least nicer than having your memories degrade and your sould reabsorbed by YHWH. Shame that your PR department is terrible.

So when I fuck someone and drain them essentially they're worshipping me very intensely for a period of time, it may seem somewhat monomaniacal but I do like the sound of that."

And these questions >>24438579 and >>24438585
>>
>>24438646
I mean megalomaniacal, not monomaniacal.
>>
>>24438670
It seems like we're basically cutting out the middle-man. I would assume YHWH fed energy to his angels after absorbing it from worship.
>>
The only reason he'd be doing any of this is because he is, in fact, not of infinite potential. A scary proposition. Despite his apparent frustration an distaste for the free will of humans, he's forced to make sure we thrive for his own existence. Man, if humans ever band together as one and threaten him with anything, we're looking at possibly the ultimate form of defiance of YHWH. Hypothetically, if all humans wished to go to Hell rather than Heaven, YHWH would be the one on the leash.

Also, this system makes getting to Hell harder than getting to Heaven. To get to heaven you'd literally only have to believe honestly that you don't want to get to hell, and nobody from Hell would bother trying to bring you to them. It's almost fucking comical.
>>
"What's the Dextra Domini and Malleus Maleficarum version of this story?" you ask. "I can't believe that they would keep their attitude if they knew this."

"You've read the bible, right?" he asks sadly. "What I'm telling you is heresy. A few hundred years ago, mundane mortal institutions would burn people to death just for HEARING stories like this. Our version of the story is just starting to get known again, and even then, it mostly seems like just edgy adolescents who paint the Rebellion as the good guys."

"So, does magic function in the afterlife?" you ask.

"Yes," he says. "Assuming you don't lose too much of yourself in Purgatory, you can keep using it."

"What's up with Lin?" you ask.

"I don't know," your dad says, frowning. "In any of the systems I know, she should either stay dead forever or not get to keep any of her memories after reincarnating. A bribe paid to a psychopomp, maybe? A glitch in Samsara? The personal masterpiece of a brilliant archmage chasing immortality? I don't know."

"What about non-Abrahamic faiths?" you ask.

>>
>>24438814
What's the quickest way to Hell? Would I maybe implant a beacon of some sort on my soul when I get really, really good at magic? It seems like a combination of Incubus spirit and distress signals would get their attention fairly quickly.

"Are there writers and musicians and stuff that know about this? It seems like a lot of bands and writers kind of skirt around this idea, or like to imply that the popular story isn't completely true. Makes for good music, in any case."

"Does YHWH care about mundane human morality, or does he only care when it starts going against his plans? I could see why he wouldn't appreciate murder at one point, but now that we all just eventually die anyway...yeah."

>>24438846
This. Ask him "if we don't know it, can anybody else know it?"

If someone else can dig it up, we should probably know it to take proactive measures. If not, leave it be.

>"Hmm, so with the Mind Drill thing Lin worked on, and sufficient magic I might be able to keep my memories pretty much intact if I die, making sure that I'll get picked up by Uncle Lucy instead of Heaven"

That's a VERY interesting idea anon, we should definetely reasearch this when we are trying to became immortal.
>>
"So I could hypothetically get into a different Heaven if I really wanted to?" you ask.

"No," he says sadly. "You're bound up in my mythology. Unlike a full mortal, your choice was made for you before you were ever born. Your best option, at this point, is Hell."

"Do I have a true name?" you ask. "How would I find it out?"

"Yes," he says. "You're a spiritual being. You absolutely should have one. Our faith doesn't so much have a Celestial Bureaucracy, though, so it's probably not written down anywhere. We could probably ask a Fallen who was an Angel of Names to tell you yours, but knowing it is probably more of a weakness than a strength, unless you want to give someone power over you, or give you power over yourself."

"Speaking of summoning angels, are reapers real?" you ask. "Could we summon or bind one?"

"One of the Angels of Death?" he asks. "Sure. More of them joined the Rebellion than any other caste because they couldn't bear to take part in what had been done to humanity. Binding them is probably a dangerous idea, though. Safer to invite them and ask favors of them. Other faiths, though, we have... Less personal sway with. They could be even more dangerous for that reason."

What do you ask next?

>>24438967
Wendigos are like a terrible, purely evil manifestation of a very specific, mortal type of suffering. Reapers, Angels of Death, are spiritual beings that are apparently at least somewhat compassionate about the human condition. That and we have half our hand in their pocket, so to speak.

"Pay off one of the fallen to be watching for you at the exact time that you're going to die. That option usually involves suicide, though. Maybe find a way to adapt Lin's mind drill into keeping your mind together while in Purgatory, but that might be... Unethical to test."

"Is Limbo nice?" you ask him. "Do you have, like, an apartment there, or something?"

"I might still have property there," he says, shrugging. "I haven't been back in nearly a thousand years. As for whether it's nice, well, yes, it is. It's the closest thing to the golden age of humanity left in existence. Its sister cities fell, but it just kept on thriving. Or, at least, that's how it was a thousand years ago."

"This is... Actually surprisingly taking a load off my mind," you say. "Giving me goals, things to consider, plans to think up. It's interesting. The 'human condition' is literal, isn't it? A condition afflicted on us."

I'm assuming dad considers it unethical because of the danger of doing permanent damage to the soul. Would he still consider it unethical if it was a soul that was sure to go to heaven when its body died, and therefore would get devoured by YHWH anyway?

>>24439287

Hey, guys, I realized yesterday that we probably already are compromised. If Liz is working with the Archmagi to become their apprentice, they've probably dug around in her head multiple times. In fact, they already have by trapping her in her head for a subjective week. If any of the archmagi are associated with DD or MM, and they poked in her memories at any time, they are already quite aware of us and possibly what we've done. I'm not saying it's been done, but it's a possibility, as far as I'm aware. If that's true, it might speak for the general neutrality of both societies on the whole if we haven't already been besieged by DD and MM. While Maria seems to have gotten some kind of politically-driven reaction, if they happen to know she and Kaoru are alive, and they really cared on any deeper level, I imagine some high-level mages from both sides would have done something by now. I'm putting my money on them taking a "regrettable but expendable" stance on the two first-circle girls. Maria has had her mind practically totally replaced, and Kaoru's has already been broken by whatever worm was in her head. They probably put no value on the two any more.

By the way, this is total speculation, and no, I'm not trying to taunt Fem into fucking with us.

Eventually, you head off, trying to find Lin, hoping she's not getting her hour of sleep right now. You find her in the sitting room, reading over class notes and text books.

It's late night, or perhaps early morning, right now.

>>24440163
First of all, the Society of the Archmagi is its own prestige society. Not all archmages belong to it, and those that don't aren't involved in Liz's training. Second of all, the Malleus Maleficarum is the outside world's version of Dextra Domini. We think that Kaoru was part of Adversary/Nemesis.
>>
Rolled 6

>>24440163
Not all archmages are society of the archmagi. The society of the archmagi is its own organization. Carl for example is an archmage, but he's an archmage of the Lotus, not the SotA.
>>
>>24440188
Soooo... Illegal gambling cheating?
>>
>>24440209
To simplify, DD solves magic underground issues with magic. MM does it with mundane weaponry or artifacts.

"Just finished up some work with dad. I felt like hanging out. Anything on your mind lately?"
>>
We should order Lunch to make an inventory of all foci she's crafted.
>>
>>24440188
Mostly I wanted to hang out we haven't spent enough time together.

"Nothing much, been helping dad with the ecosystem, thought I'd come hang out for a bit."

How many spirits does dad need for the spirit ecosystem?

Shut up Snapple.

>>24440188
"Was just helping Dad with summoning spirits for the ecosystem. Also got a pretty extensive education on how the afterlife will work for me. What are you up to?"
>>
>>24440266
>hell yes

then give her an orgasm for each one, weather she wants more or not her submission and masochism will love it.
>>
>>24440288
>How many spirits does dad need for the spirit ecosystem?
a couple hundred minimum
>>
>>24440188
"Nothing much really. Just spent a bit of time with Dad, decided to hang out with one of my favorite people, who I don't spend enough time with considering our mutually minimal sleep schedules, and see what you were up to. What's new with you? Anything on your mind?"
>>
>>24440305
that might take a while, given how many we have
>>
>>24440336
We'll just have to work quickly.
>>
>>24440336
yes and?
>>
>>24440305
Considering how many we have, that will probably end up legitimately killing her.
>>
>>24440188
"I've been so wrapped up with my augments lately, just thought I would come down here and relax with you."
>>
>>24440360
well i guess we don't have to do them all in one sitting.
>>
After we get done faffing about with Lin, let's make a couple mundane transmutation foci.
>>
>>24440492
Or just get our sleep and if we're lucky Liz'll give us one of her trademark wakeups.
>>
>>24440492
Agreed the drain kind but check on our little snowflake first.
>>
>>24440546
I just realize when Alison and her little sister start fighting about "shes touching me" that may actually be serious giving there likely radically different body temperatures
>>
>>24440492
We can have Lunch do that. I'd rather enhance Gaviscon so that it keeps an eye on Selene not tampering with her sister. Or conjure something Selene could tamper with (the puzzle idea).
>>
At some point we need to talk to dad about the possibility of summoning something up to keep an eye on mom for us. She's most likely not in danger for now, but in the later years I wouldn't be surprised if some amoral rival takes her hostage as a plot against us.
>>
>>24440628
Not if we want it in our tattoos.
Having them all be communal things isn't the best.
>>
Hmm, too late to suggest an action, but what are your thoughts on making a magic item (I'd suggest a pair of glasses) that can display information on the hormonal levels of an individual (or labrat)? Might be an easier way to track our experiments and see if anything unintended is happening without spending too many hours conjuring test kits and running experiments. Also might help us keep track of Pierre's progress without having to draw blood or wait for the development of female secondary characteristics.
>>
Dinner?
>>
>>24441294
An hour early still, probably internet, but who knows?
>>
>>24440910
Could be useful. Especially since we could enchant it further to tell us other info, depending on what we need.

Not sure how I feel about it being a separate item, though. What are the pros/cons of doing that vs. enchanting our own perception/eyes?
>>
"I just wanted to check in and hang out," you tell her. "I've been so busy with augmenting and stuff that I haven't had much time to socialize. What's up?"

"Oh, nothing much," she says, setting aside her books and notes. "Cute kid, by the way."

"Thanks," you tell her, beaming.

What do you talk about now?
>>
>>24441543
...Illegal gambling?
>>
>>24441458
you want to permanently see hormone levels of living things we look at? you want us to enchant our eyes? and possibly fail catastrophically and have our eyes explode? that kinda sounds like what you want....
I'd be all for making a pair of glasses that do all that but it seems like an idiotic idea to actually put a permanent spell on our eyes
>>
>>24441543
"What would you think of using reaper's blood for the third one?"
>>
>>24441543
Let's ask Lin's opinion on the whole Pierre situation and living alchemy in general. It would be interesting to hear what some other people think.

Maybe she has some alternate ideas on how to deal with him.
>>
>>24441543
Ask her how she would go to stop Selene fucking around her sister's mind.
>>
>>24441582
this
>>
>>24441582
She laughed and clapped and exclaimed "Haha! Dedick the dicknazi!"

Or something to that effect.
>>
>>24441568
it'd actually be kinda funny too see when someone in class gets horny...
>>

Here it is
>"I'm going to make his testicles make estrogen instead of testosterone," you say proudly.

>"Hah! De-dick the dicknazi," she says. "You know, so to speak."

Ask Lin how the mind drill's going, or if she's working on anything else cool recently. Ask her how her night out on halloween was, if we were too caught up in augmenting to ask before.
>>
>>24441667
This and how we can help with the study sanctum, pretty sure construction got underway during the last time skip.

Seconding
>>
>>24441692
Yeah, let's talk about the study sanctum
I hope everyone starts abbreviating it as "SS"
>>
>>24441667
If we ask her about the mind drill, we can ask her if she's uncovered any new interesting (or kinky) memories she'd like to share.
>>
>>24441717
Or re-enact.
>>
"So, how's your mind drill coming?" you ask her. "Do anything else interesting lately?"

"Mind drill's churning away as always," she says, rapping her knuckles on the side of her head. "I think I might have made something similar to it in previous incarnations. At least, that's the impression that I'm getting as more stuff gets revealed. Aside from that, it's mostly just been studying for the past couple of weeks and augmenting my mind. You know how it is."

What do you say?
>>
>>24442078
Talk about the ss
>>
>>24442106
this
>>
>>24442078
I'd like to discuss with her the stuff we've been looking into for adapting the mind drill for use on others and the alternative applications. It is her spell, after all, and she's probably got a better understanding of it than we do (especially if it seems she's been finding out more about it as she recovers memories). On top of which we don't have to come up with the whole fucking adaptation ourselves, it's okay to let other people help us do some research.
>>
>>24442144
This. We should tell her our goals with the spell and see what kind of input she has. By all means, she's one of the most experienced people when it comes to afterlife shenanigans. I daresay she's fucked with the afterlife more than dear old dad has.
>>
>>24442106
Yeah, let's hear about the place she and Sam are setting up in the Himalayans.
>>
>>24442078
Aside from the mind drill, ask her a couple things.

"Had any problems with the pets or girls lately? Selene was...being a little too adventurous with her enchantment a while ago,"

"Anything I could do for you on the mundane side of things? I know you like video games and stuff. We could try and arrange some stuff for entertainment."
>>
>>24442226
Actually, yeah, might be a good idea to give Lin a heads-up re: Selene. Never hurts to have an extra pair of eyes if she tries acting out again.
>>
"So how's the party life treating you?"
>>
Let's ask her how she feels about the kids and how involved she wants to be. Like if she just wants to be that cool aunt that's always around or just stay out of it
>>
"Selene's been rooting around in people's heads," you tell Lin. "The pets, Breakfast, and her little sister, apparently. Any advice on how to make sure she doesn't do it again in the future?"

"I know that if you put hot sauce on a kid's thumbs they'll learn to stop sucking them," she says, shrugging. "Maybe do something like that with people's minds? Plant a seed in their heads that gives her some unpleasant feedback if she tries to dig around?"

What do you say?
>>
>>24442503
Not a terrible idea, if it's easy enough for us to shield ourselves from.

But I'm worried that once she knows about it, she'll easily find a way around it.
>>
First let see if she does it again, can we do a sweep of her mind to see if she's been practicing enchantment magic? Also let's plant some mind seeds in Breakfast and Lunch that will alert us when someone messes with their mind
>>
>>24442503
"I gave her a rat that she's allowed to use for anything she wants to experiment with, lets see if that works first."
>>
>>24442562
>>
>>24442562
Even if she figures it out it's still a learning experience for her. Maybe we should do some sort of mind connection with her, show her around our mind a little. Would make for a good bonding experience
>>
>>24442503
When we finish talking about Selene, ask what kind of mental augments she's been getting.

Opporitunity to see updated sheet?
>>
>>24442562
we would want it to fade over time maby just a couple of weeks a month at the longest.
But lets wait and see if she misbehaves again. Before we do something that drastic and set up a do as i say not as i do moment in the proses.
>>
>>24442679
this pleas
>>
>>24442679
I doubt Selene is able to do that yet but we should do >>24442654 and get a feel for her abilities
>>
>>24442721
Erm. Get those backwards?
>>
we should ask Lin her opinion on Mind forks.
>>
>>24442742
I meant we should feel around her mind to see what she can do, no prodding or anything just a glance
>>
>>24442721
I think, when he said mental augments, he was referring to Lin.
>>
Would mental processing be a legal augment?
>>
>>24442972
That's basically just Mind.
>>
Fem are these valid augs? other players do we want any of them if they are?
Logic: Spot logical fallacies, Preform mental math, make sound deductions, identify your logical premiss, analyzing other peoples arguments, programing, many kinds of spell research, some forms of mental self exam, mundane science,
drawbacks: may alienate others. may be hard to run or rp

Reflection: allows better mental self examination, helps to find why you feel and believe what you do.
drawbacks: Encourages "contemplating our navel", we may not like the answers we find or the changes that prompts.
Notes:May be folded into creativity logic and sanity.

Kinetic force-field sense augmentation: In part counters the sensory masking of force fields and slightly extend the range of our sense of touch.
>>
>>24442972
what do you mean unless you mean>>24443126
>>
>>24443126
It would work for a lot of things, probably more than focus, but it wouldn't work for everything mind does.

It probably wouldn't have much overlap with calm, perception, or mind shield.
>>
Fem you said a creativity was a maybe how dose this summery for an official version sound?
Creativity: Aides in coming up with new and novel solutions to problems as well as aiding lateral thinking. This would be helpful in things like creative writhing, art, original spell research, some kinds of programing,
drawbacks: Makes it easier to come up with bad ideas (but not harder to discard them).
>>
>>24443168
Also, I don't think it would work for augmenting, but it would give another boost to studying, rolling for notes, rolling for tests if we ever do that again.
>>
>>24443168
then would calling it logic like >>24443131
be what you mean? or some other principal i don't get how it would work. I get how calm and focus work and logic reflection and creativity could.
