She's starting to lose some of her baby fat too, transitioning into little-kid-slim. "Mommy made me a Ping costume! I get to try candy!" She hasn't tried candy yet, she just knows that kids on shows and in cartoons like it.

"That's right," you tell her happily. "You might get to meet your grandma today too. Are you excited?"

What I don't like about this system is that a) we have to roll off for everything, no matter how inconsequential, creating more opportunities for failure, and b) failure has no consequences other than making us look incompetent and wasting both the character's and the players' time.

I'd prefer if we only rolled for stuff where both success and failure led to interesting results, and just assumed we kept grinding away at incidental spells offscreen until we succeeded.
