Earth is ours. After infesting Defense Director Tyson, we had no trouble spreading our influence through the whole planet. There was almost no bloodshed at all (Gorn finds this deplorable). Accountantbrate is bothered by our decision to give up a perfectly good star system to Kerrigan, but we can't wait to see her first steps on the planet. Artisanlord has already set up hundreds of cameras for our home movies of the event.

In less positive news, Tassadar has apparently gone rogue, and is likely preparing something nasty. Khas insists that he has no idea where Tassadar has gone, and that any actions he takes are against the expressed desires of the Protoss Empire.

(1 - Roll 1d10. 2 - Do you like the 3rd or the 8th for our next thread?)

don't you think it's time to let go?
I mean, these things should end sometime

Rolling for stuff happening!

Are there any pockets of UED resistance left on Earth, or in the surrounding star systems? I remember there being something about a handful of planets resisting infestation.
>>
rolled 4 = 4

>>19279560
How about 'No, fuck you.'

>>19279527
I would prefer the 3rd.
>>
rolled 2 = 2

>>19279560
Nonsense, the Protoss are still around.
>>19279527
Also, we heed to have out ambassador defiler give Kerri a hug, it's the brotherly thing to do. and build more lover muffins!
>>
>>19279560
You might want to catch up on your Roman numerals.

This is thread 88.

>>19279527
We should put the Koprulu sector forces on heightened alert, and have Warbrate begin sending out patrols to find Tassadar's task force.

Did Khas say anything about what direction Tassadar was going in? Is he going towards our Koprulu holdings, or towards the UED?
>>
>>19279619
My guess is he's out to kill us, and I doubt he knows of our annexation of the UED. Last the toss knew the UED was under attack from Dyles, and Executor Cantfight killed it.
>>
>>19279656
That's what I mean. Tassadar wants to kill us. Perhaps he thinks that allying with the UED would allow him that opportunity, not knowing that the UED has already fallen to our subterfuge?
Or is he going to try a suicidal attack on our home system?
>>
>>19279674

He might have gone out of system to search for extreme ways of dealing with us. While we're still smarting from the conflict with Dyles and the UED, we can still probably fight 25% of the Protoss fleet on comfortable terms. If the other Protoss aren't dead-set on exterminating us, he may attempt to find something that might motivate them to try to kill us off. The whole thing with the UED might mobilize them against us, unless the Protoss generally have a low opinion of humanity and really don't care about the whole thing.

We can assume that the Dark Templar remnants are also with Tassadar. He may have even taught a few of them how to blend the Void energies that the DTs manipulate with the traditional psionics that regular protoss wield. I think Selendis displayed that she was capable of this when she killed the Overmind.
>>
>>19279586
There are still pockets of rednecks out in the mountains, insular cults, and the like. Anybody who would refuse to get a "safe" vaccine for an interstellar plague.

>>19279608
Artisanlord and Citybrate have set up a parade. Confetti from the rooftops, floats, the whole deal.
>>
>>19279740
Let's continue building up our CORE fleet, since the Love Muffins are such great battleships.

Have Warbrate have our border forces in the Koprulu Sector on heightened alert, and have a Heighliner constructed and tasked with dropping off Dropservers and Overlords throughout the galaxy to look for Tassadar's fleet.
>>
>>19279740

Let's set up a detection grid of cloaked Overlords, Dropbservers, and other similarly detecty things around our major holdings.

Consult our cerebrates. If Xenta is seriously threatened, how quickly could we relocate our base of operations?
>>
>>19279739
>>19279739
>He may have even taught a few of them how to blend the Void energies that the DTs manipulate with the traditional psionics that regular protoss wield. I think Selendis displayed that she was capable of this when she killed the Overmind.

You mean Feneschal.

Hilariously enough, the reason I felt comfortable having her do that is because that's how Tassadar did it in the game.
>>
>>19279740

Let's dig into the WorldShip files again.

See if we can access any topics regarding the location of major Xel'naga temples or research sites around the galaxy. Also ask Kerrigan if she knows of where Tassadar may have scuttled off to, given what she saw of him from her spies.

In the regular SC universe, the Protoss refugees sought out the Uraj and Khalis crystals in an attempt to save Shakuras from the Zerg. Given that Zeratul and the other major Dark Templar elders survived Shakuras' nuclear scouring, it could be entirely possible that they are seeking them again.
>>
>>19279818
We have an Alpha Site already prepared at Yoshus. But we were supposed to create another, hidden Beta Site fallback position, because the Alpha Site location was possibly compromised.

We need to talk with Defensebrate on the status of our fallback positions.
>>
>>19279870
I think we should have one of our scientists do a search of the planets for any new creatures to add to the swarm. Maybe we can get something new, like we did when we got the mantalisks.
>>
>>19279740
Oh! Are we going to give her the Key to the System? Also we can't forget to give her a physical hug.
>>19279833
Don't forget that she was a filthy trollop.
>>19279870
Possible impending doom, so you suggest poke the worldship? I like you, let's poke the worldship.

Check the UED Zoological Registry you say! I agree with this plan.

Your odds aren't great. Roll 1d20.

Defensebrate has Yoshus, as well as our second fallback (the name of which I can't remember, anymore. It's been that long).
>>

You owe me dice.
>>
rolled 13 = 13

>>19279998
I like those odds, and I think we should just over-fortify Xenta. I mean, have we actually built proper defenses for it? A few orbital platforms should suffice.
>>
rolled 8 = 8

>>19279998

The /tg/ dice are so fickle, yet we've come to rely upon them again and again.
>>
>>19280008
Hey, I liked the crystal powered sewage system. We learned how to make a more expensive waste management network. And knowledge is power.
>>
>>19280069
And maybe, one day, we can use that knowledge to create crystal powered poop cannons.

Not because it's a good idea, but because we can.
>>
>>19280097
Attention every synapse, the new brood motto is "Not because it's a good idea, but because we can."
>>
>>19280008
>>19280026
(That doesn't happen often)

The screens flicker, and one of the onboard diagnostic AIs tries to enter an automated shutdown. After negotiating with it for about 20 minutes, we convince it not to shut down, but it demands our name to put on the error report.
>>
>>19280040

At this point, we don't even know what Tassadar's plan is. He could have gone off to search for evidence to discredit us in the eyes of Khas or weapon to exterminate us, which is fairly likely. Or he knows of some other allies that could turn the tide of any open conflict against us.

Or perhaps he's set off with his most dedicated followers with the intent of setting up an ideal civilization of their own billions and billions of light years away from known space. In time, they will return to their former sphere of influence in an attempt to save it from itself and to guide it to a golden era. Which is probably not likely at all given that this is lifted almost entirely from another game setting, and is just silly in the context of anything else.
>>
>>19280040
Now that we think about it, we never really built any major defenses for Xenta. Our major defense has been that nobody knows where it is.

Just a heads up, any thread with 'quest' in the subject field is automatically set to not bump ever. This thread is currently on page 7.
It looks like you can avoid this by leaving the text field of the first post blank.

>>
>>19280184

Uh... consult Artisanlord for a name he thinks would be suitable for a Xel'naga.

It's not much, but he IS the one who somehow managed a working cipher of the Xel'naga language given almost nothing.
>>
On a completely personal note, I'd like to point out that the mods put us into autosage again. We're on page 7 right now. Depending on how fast we drop, I might start a second thread later.

No-Fun pricks.

(Damnit, /tg/ dice)

Artisanlord uses its savant-like intuitions of Xel'Naga culture to give us a believable name, and we pass it to the program. It accepts the name, and storms off into the filing system to sulk. We feel an odd sense or having dodged a bullet.

So, what are we looking for?
>>
>>19280651

The quick of it: locations of Xel'naga research worlds or places where they might have stored Xel'naga technology. Or coordinates where huge monolithic structures involving lots of technology and importance are located.
>>
>>19280651
Look for engineering or scientific knowledge. Anything for computer systems, or maybe even cybernetics.
>>
>>19280651
I think the suggestion was Bio-Diversity, but I could go for a crystal powered street lamp, or their method of growing big crystals, because I want one the size if Germany as a focusing mirror to merge multiple carrier beams. Don't think I forgot that it was a Germany sized crystal.
>>
>>19280696
Or the locations of any decommisioned worldships.
if they just left them lying around like the Protoss did with their motherships, we might be able to find a few.

SCIENCE! Better?
>>
>>19280841
We could do the simple "Final harddrive backup before it completely shits itself" attempt?

I'd prefer finding another worldship to dig into, though. Then, we'll never quit bothering you about it.
>>
>>19280841
>>19280863
After a bit of negotiation with the aging computers, we find a series of files on cybernetic implantation of focusing crystals to boost psionic potential It's a deceptively simple concept, but from the intact parts of the files, it seems like the Xel'Naga found it ridiculously difficult to implement.

The solution is only partially intact, but Labbrate thinks it and Cyberbrate can fill in the blanks.
>>
>>19280889

Not completely sure if we can actually back-up the hard drive to anything physical we have, unless we use some sort of unholy mish-mash of protoss crystal technology cannibalized from carriers/observers/arbiter. The worldship itself is in really bad shape, so backing up the hard drive may just make it fart out sooner.
>>
>>19281017
Or a planet sizes computer with a cerebrate on top... Why do I always remember having backed up everything, doing some damage to it, and telling Cybervrate to sift through it all?
>>
Mkay. We've passed page 10. I'm going to make a new thread. ZERG QUEST CONTINUES!
>>
