Midnight rolls around, You, Naru, Erica, Hina and Gai are in your safehouse in the LoveHotel.
    The Dude contacts you.
    'Ready to go guys?'
'Sir. I would like to take back a local with me.' you tell him as you hold Naru's hand.
'She has shown great aptitude and would do well to be trained as an agent.'
'Kid, if only it weren't a simulation.' he tells you.
'She would indeed have made a great agent.'
He says nothing more and pulls you out.

The last thing you felt was the warmth of her hand in yours.
    ------------------------------------------
You find yourselves back in your seat in the classroom.
It's the same room with the same podium up front, with the same instructor behind it, and the same blue seats all around you.

To your right is Keima, still as stoic as ever.
To your front is Sakura, she seem's to be talking to someone mentally.
Behind you is your girlfriend Hina, seated right where she should be.

You turn to your left and see...

    Actually.

    Think about it abit further.

In no case have we actually pulled out a construct by ourselves.

It was always either the director or mike who granted us the construct after we rewrote it.

    We definately rewrote this.

You quickly bolt out of your seat and catch the Dude in the hallway.
"Run the simulation again." you tell him, your voice echoing with desperation and a hint of anger. "I have a promise to keep."

He turns to you, strokes his beard and asks,
"You want to run through it again? Weren't you satisfied on how you did it the first time?"
"I don't want to run it again. I want to go back to that point in time before you pulled me out. She's waiting there for me. I can't leave her!" You say as your voice grows louder and louder.

Hina and Erica have followed you outside.
    "Hayate..." Hina begins..

"No can do buddy-boy. All data was erased when the simulation was terminated. All that would happen if I booted it back up was that you'd go back to the line going into the city. I do have a replay of your run, would you like that?"

"No! I don't want a replay. I don't want to go back to the beginning. I want to go back to her." you tell him.
You are unconsciously clenching your fists.

The girls are now by your side, and they're trying to pull you away, they're trying to talk you down.
But you don't hear anything they say.
All you wanted to do at that moment was to jump back into Infinicon and get Naru out of there.

Desperation and anger. Those were the only two things you feel right now.
You begin to pull your fist back.

Hayate's been in her situation, man. Abandoned by someone she trusted, wishing to get out of the life they were trapped in.
The only difference between Naru now and Hayate before he met Mike, is that she doesn't have te Yakuza after her organs.
He's been in her place, and even if she IS a simulated construct, Hayate's been able to free and expand constructs into full-fledged sapient AI's before. He'll at least give it a try.

You enter the simplistic door to find yourself in a very spartan office.
No decorations, no equipment. It's as if you walked into an unused room.
A pair of folding pipe chairs sit infront of a simple desk, devoid of anything and a very basic chair behind it.
Grey paint covered the walls and ceiling, black tile on the floor.
One of the walls is a large panel of glass overlooking the quad.

In front of it stood the Director, that person that Yuki was copied, no, generated off of.

"Sit down." she commands you as she moves behind the desk.
You do as she tells you.

"Trainee Ayasaki, advanced class. I have been observing the simulation you were run through today."
The Director seems a lot more talkative than usual.
"And I have observed that you once again managed to manipulate the data within it."

"You were supposed to be tested down in R&D for this, but after viewing this latest data, I have decided to do it myself."

The empty room disentegrates around you.

You find yourself standing infront of the Director on a seemingly endless slab of concrete.
Above you, a dull grey sky casts a gloom on the scene.

"Simulated resident Naru has been observed to act outside of her preprogramed parameters. Said actions were tied directly to you."
She shows you a hologram of Naru standing all alone in that room at the safehouse you were in.
"Instead of all data processes ceasing when the simulation was ended, her subroutines have taken over and are now running the simulation continuously. Any of my attempts to shut this down have failed."
She now shows Naru serving guests in her father's store, instead of her usual bubbly front, she has a said air about her.
"All unauthorized processes are taxing my reserves currently as I have had to internalize the errant simulation to prevent the error from spreading."

"You are the cause of this, and I aim to determine how you are doing it."
She waves her hand to her side.

Beside her appeared Naru, floating and unconcious.
"Simulated resident 52T-076, along with most of the resident's of the convention were one of my most complex constructs. Leagues above the basic combat constructs you have reprogrammed before."
She says as Naru's unconcious form begins to slowly revolve.
"She has memories, thought patterns, emotions. She is in all sense and purposes alive, except for biologically not being so. For you to have been able to manipulate her is unheard of."

You take a few steps towards her and Naru.
"I wish to see if you can support her in the physical world like you do with your current familiars."
The room once again goes back to normal, leaving you, the Director and a still unconscious Naru standing in the middle of it.
"Wake her. I have assigned all her majaik consumption to be fed through your device."
"If she's able to keep physical form, then you may leave with her, If she isnt then I shall Purge her and the errant simulation I have inside of me."

You reach out and touch Naru's cheek, she's warm.
She's there. You just need to make sure she stays that way.

You hold her hand tightly, and try and will her to wake up.
    "Please Naru, wake up. Please."
The director observes your actions and monitors you internally.
"Please. Please wake up. I'm sorry we left you behind."
    She does not stir.
"Please Naru, I'm here. We're here. We're waiting for you. So please, wake up."
    Not a sign of movement.

"I said I'd take you with me right? I said I'd show you the outside. Please open your eyes so I can do that."

    Nothing.

You push all the majaik that you can through Kraus into her. Your body begins to feel the strain.

    "Please... Please, please wake up!"
You feel her fingers tighten fractionally around yours.

    "My lord?"
As she opens her eyes, yours close and you are swallowed by darkness.

Guys, I think I just figured out something. In Susan's timeline, a male Hayate went back in time and knocked up Perrine. A male Hayate had lunch with Keima. A male Hayate helped us kiss the twins.

But that timeline's future Hayate should be female.

That's why Susan is going to end up in our timeline. Her timeline is suddenly awash in paradox. That shit is going to fall apart, collapse into ours. Most people will probably just get some sudden, vague hints of memory from that other timeline, mostly in the form of deja vu. Susan and Hayate, though? I don't think they'll merge. I think Susan will manifest in full in our timeline.

    What do you guys think?

Fortunately, our rate of majaik regeneration seems to be just a bit more than the rate at which A-tan sucks it out. We just need to keep increasing the amount of regeneration that occurrs to be able to support the increased number of familiars.

Interesting thing, here: LG's stated that Susan and TOSyate are different people. I think what is likely to happen is that in "curing" TOSyate of the genderflip, Susan will be branched off, leaving a male Hayate, and Susan, as separate beings. Where Susan goes from there? Who knows.

Here are two of the tweets that LG loves to troll us with:
Alarms go off throughout the Bureau. The PA system announces the situation. "SUBJECT NRT#021 HAS ESCAPED HIS HOLDING CELL. LOCKDOWN!" As you try and take in the situation in the hallway leading to Ryuu's bar, a blonde kid dressed in an orange jumpsuit runs past you."GET HIM!" The Commander shouts out from the end of the hallway as he points his weapon towards the fleeing figure. "Hey you! Help us."
Your group corners the kid in an empty laboratory "Youll never take me back there!" he says defiantly"I saw what you did to the others!"

People who exhibit too much SUE are fed into a juicer for their SUE to help power majicks.

That's arguable, given the importance of both Kyon and Nagato in the meta.

It's entirely possible that she's this metaverse's god and that she's just been put to sleep for the sake of stability.

Some evidence of this exists in the Infinicon setting, which in all likelihood not where Negato and Kyon originated, as it shows her influence.

Its not altogether uncommon for devices to have human forms. Most if not all of the ones that we regularly get into contact with have human forms.
I do fear if Kenji ever unlocks his device's human form.

I'm not saying there aren't other beings out there that have a similar power level. Omnipotence isn't really a rare theme, afterall.

I'm just suggesting that the crazy man at Infinicon shouting about how she was capable of making "everyone happy" might have been right, with the implication being that her potency in the Mahou Shounen Quest setting might stretch beyond that of her home dimension.

We don't have the majaik to fully support Naru.
Kraus will be a bro and get things working.
Ted and Lo have smaller forms that decrease majaik drain.

    Which leads me to this:

    "M-My Lord?"
Hayate sits bolt upright, waking from a dead sleep. "Naru? Are you there?"
"Here, my Lord, but something is strange," she replies in a tiny voice.
Hayate turns to the bedside table to see Naru standing there, slightly larger than an action figure.

    my thoughts on this.

if we put Naru's program inside a robot body, she would not drain from us or atleast not as much.
she would probably be unable to experience physical stimili (unless we can get something organic).

a doll-sized meido would mean less drain, still being able to feel physical stimili but would hamper her abillity to interact with the world what with being very small and stuff.

i think we should get her a body which is as close to a normal one as we can get, giving her as much freedom as possible.

could still research a way for her to change her size since that could be very usefull.

The best you could do is attempt to prevent Meta-Transit into the Canon you are trying to protect.
Any gods' powers will be severely curbed when they are not in their Home Canon.
Also it could simply be considered more expedient to detonate a Re-Writer Bomb, or Crumple the entire universe in order to provide power for other Meta technologies.

Yes, but significantly curbed omnipotent beings are going to remain pretty fucking potent relative to even the most powerful mundane beings.

I mean, depending on how you interpret it, Omnipotent level beings are universes unto themselves.

The interpretation of divinity as the universe being the dream of god. As such, the universe would not be so much a product they created as a part of them.

In such a case, the actual power behind a being of that level is flat out going to be all that is contained in an entire universe.

If we look at it that way, it's less that a god loses power in other universes and more that they are only capable of using their sizable potency to affect the world in a traditional manner, as opposed to simply changing it as they normally would.

Gods are not immortal to Meta-incursions.

Piss off one of the major players enough, and they will erase whatever pissant local god that thinks they can play in the big leagues.

I don't think we're even capable of antagonizing them at this level. The person that suggested the possibility of going up against the Bureau was probably referring to some sort of GL scenario, except scaled up to the metaverse.

    >But nothing is truly omnipotent. Any gods that achieved Meta are still limited by their origins as Canon characters.

Right, it's just a power level thing. While a being that was omnipotent in its own dimension wouldn't be able to exert the same influence outside of it, it'd still be a really strong sort of creature. It could be taken down conventionally, but doing so is going to require a different scale of power altogether.

Probably something like a million planet cracker level Nanohas.

One assumes that the organizations you listed have god level beings in their arsenal anyways, though.

What about Azathoth and other Outsiders, being natural inhabitants of the Meta? Not that we could get them to help us. Not cheaply anyways.

But I was the one who started all this, and it was just a thought in the event that we REALLY had to get away from the Bureau. I don't think they're gonna be hostile to us, this is just a single incident where everyone made mistakes.

Next time with Shinji, we should try to get through our tendency to get attached to any girl with a pretty face and tendency towards loyalty.

Azathoth and the Outer Gods are a rare case, and it's still being debated if they're natural Meta-inhabitants, like MetaEarth humans, or if they're only at the center of the Lovecraft Cluster.

Other known Meta beings are the Orz (though it's known that a Rewriter Bomb can lock a Canon from their means of travel) and Philemon from the Persona games.

To be perfectly fair to Nagato, we don't know if the S.U.E.S. are intelligent in the traditional sense. They could be more like Fair Folk, where they're kind of just playing a role.

And the whole purging thing might be the result of her literally being unable to maintain the simulation with a rogue element. For all we know, she thinks of the intelligent inhabitants of her simulations as precious children.

The Transpace Guard doesn't exist after the Wars, it's reorganized into the Institute. It also stands to reason that a small organization like the Bureau would not survive such a conflict.

We're most likely before the War.

The Crossover War is pretty much "Everything that can go wrong, does so, twice, and at the worst possible time."

No, the Transpace Guard still exists after the Wars.
The Institute take over for the BPI and handles the covert and civilian side of Meta Operations.
The Transpace Guard remains as the military arm of Meta Earth, the hammer for when they need to tangle with another Meta-Aware Faction.

LG did imply that there might be a TG mission during field training, but didn't mention any details, so there's that. I'm hoping for an inter-agency operation simulation with either the TSAB or the TG during Advanced Class.
It would make sense that Bureau agents be trained to deal with operatives from other agencies if they meet in a Bureau-protected Canon.
