Your classroom fades from view, the chair disintegrating from under you.
You find yourself standing in line infront of a walled structure.
The line makes it's way into a gate built into the wall.

You are wearing your butler uniform and bunny ears.
Behind you, Erica is wearing her full dress uniform and her ever present hat.
In front of you is Gai. Hes wearing his armor, but it looks flimsier, his helmet looks like a badly modified motorcycle helmet.
And in front of him is Hina. She's wearing her usual school uniform/ armor. But her sword looks like it's been made from badly painted foam.

Your gaze sweeps the crowd in line, various costumes and characters stare back at you.
    The line moves forwards.

You are now close enough to hear the scratchy announcement coming from a megaphone bolted over the turnstiles awaiting you.

    You inch forward in line.
Every step taking you closer to the large men in black foam bodyarmor guarding the gates.
In your head, you hear the voice of the dude.
'Okay man, here's the situation. This is INFINICON. The largest fucking convention you have ever set foot in. You are going in there, to find 3 operatives that have gone AWOL. Equipment and more information await you in the safehouse.'
The voice fades and you are once again moving in line.

A couple of people in front of Hina get stopped, the large foam-clad brute shoving them out of line.
"YOUR PASSES EXPIRED 3 YEARS AGO!" he told the men wearing pointy ears and red/grey body suits.
"We have been in this line for 5 years. It is only logical for 2 year passes to expire." The leader says in a calm voice.
The guard raises his cardboard and ducttape truncheon.

    >check passes/stuff

It's not your style to leave someone in trouble, but you have the mission in mind first and foremost.
You check the passes hanging by a lanyard from your neck.
Multiple laminated IDs and passes are colelcted there,
One is a general infinicon gatepass, valid for 10 years.
Another is a worker's ID for a place called Sebastians Butler Cafe.
There's also a residence card for Little NeoTokyo 3 indicating your address to be Apartment 122, Ichigo Pavillion, Panty-shot Avenue.
Numerous other passes for buildings and conventions are also there.

You don't have your folio on you, so you check your pockets.
In your left pocket, a piece of carefully folded, well aged tissue.
Written on it, [To my greatest fan ___________, XoXo Hideaki Anno]

In your right pocket, are a dozen round chips.
They seem to have been cut out of older badges and IDs, stamped on each is a number in increments ranging from 1,5, 10 up to 100.

    The line moves forward.
You look up to see the guard with his arm around the leader of that group of people with expired passes.
Several of those round chips exchange hands and the guard lets them through with a wave of his huge meaty hand.

Ahead of you, you see Hina present her pass for inspection. All seems in order.

Your group now rides one of the street trams that ply the city streets, around you, a landscape of neon lights and giant screens pass by like a rainbow colored tornado.

You ask Hina what her cover is after you show her you Butler Cafe ID.
"According to this, Im a student at St.Tomino's School for the Anime Arts." She says as she indicates a pink and purple ID hanging from her lanyard.
"How about you Gai?" You ask your friend in spandex and foam rubber.

"ICE, Infinity City Enforcers. I seem to be an off-duty enforcer." He tells you though his helmet, its springy antennae bouncing erratically throughout the ride.

"Wow, this is actually a pretty nice place." you tell your team.
"How about we check out what it has to offer?"
    You inspect the room.
Digging through the kitchen, you find a ton of instant ramen and not much else. No knives, no forks, no spoons.
Just a couple of pots and half a dozen red lacquer bowls.

You open the trunks. in one of them you find a couple of orange and yellow Nerf guns and the darts to go with them.
There is also a duct-tape and foam hatchet that seems heavier than it should be, and an airsoft pistol modeled after a Luger.
"DIBS!" Erica says as she spots the gun.
You hand it to her along with a bag of pellets.
She happily straps it into the empty holster she was wearing.
The other trunk contained some more costumes/clothes and what appears to be a chainmail bikini made out of pulltabs.

You check the beds out with Gai's help.
Inside the thin and musty mattresses you find a couple of lengths of lead pipe disguised with cardboard, a small penknife, a roll of aluminum foil and a dozen roadflares.
You also find a manila envelope inside one of the pillows.

In the bath, you lift the cover for the toilet's reservoir and find a plastic bag.
In it you find tubs of makeup and facepaint.

    You look through the papers.
There's a map of the city.
It shows the division across sectors and fandoms, it also marks the approximate territory of certain gangs that prowl it.
Also indicated on the map are several entrances into the UnderCon.

There are schedules for mock battles, displays, panels, and conventions for allover the city.

And then there were the agent dosiers.

    AGENT R

Figure I'll lurk your quest for a bit, Landing Gear.

The way I'm seeing this is that R will be the easiest to find, M the next easiest, and K will be the hardest due to indigenous forces and the sheer amount of territory you'd need to cover.

Perhaps start by getting ourself and one of the girls to go seeking out where the ceremony happened and mentioning we're interested in talking to one of the participants of the last one to help design a good harem anime concept to be made.. For lovers by lovers, and so on.

I'd suggest Hina since she's supposed to be in an arts school; which would give cover for seeking out someone (Agent R) for an interview of some sort and maybe a quick sketch session.

The other two, perhaps have them go start looking into Agent M's situation? Save Agent K for last, since that's gonna require a whole search team if he's INNA WOODS.

Unsure on how to proceed further, you invite your team outside to see if you can find any clues on the errant agents.

Before you head out, you grab the nerf guns and inspect them. Theyre loaded with standard nerf darts that have been modified with sewing needles sticking out of them.
Gai grabs one of the disguised lead pipes and clinches it onto his belt.
Hina takes up her wood and foam sword and the pictures of the targets.
Erica inspects the chainmail bikini momentarily before putting it back down with a grimace.

After a short walk down the barely lit stairwell, you again find yourselves in the middle of the bustling street.

Your team discretely look around to observe the natives.

In one table a pair of acne ridden guys are bent low and talking to each other over what appears to be a stack of magazines and manga.
You hear snippets of their conversation.
    "M----Tan's so kawai."
    "No. Hi--kun's cuter.."

In another table, a small crowd of about half a dozen have gathered around a pair playing what seems to be some sort of cardgame.
    "ORE NO TARN!"
The guy wearing with announces as he slams a card onto the table with enough force to almost upend it.

Further away, a pair of girls wearing maid uniforms smoke quietly and drink beers. Streaked makeup on their faces and tired frowns on their lips.

You are unsure if you'll get any information out of any of these people, so you just sit and quietly observe for now.

A few minutes later, your waitress comes out with four plates of Yakisoba and a pot of tea.
    "Here's your order, OKYAKOOSAHN!"
She says cheerfully as she sets the dishes down on the table.
Your group spends a few moments jsut staring at the fried noodles heaped onto the four paper plates.
Oil glistens under the florescent lights as it begins to cool.
"Are'nt you going to eat it?" Your waitress asks "I assure you that's its TOTTEMO delicious."

    >talk to the manager
You call over your waitress again.
"You said we can talk to the manager?" you ask her.
"Sure. Go ahead into the kitchen. I'll tidy up here."
You do as she says and let yourselves into the well kept kitchen.
At a stove, with his back to you, was an old caucasian man.
"Uhh Sir, if you have some time, We'd like to ask a few questions."
He turns around and faces you.
Around his forehead is a white belt with a red sun on it and the word PERFUME written underneath.
The glasses over his eyes sparkle in the fires of the stoves.
"I know you have some questions. I have been watching you since you came in." He tells you as he sits himself down on a nearby bench, the dish he's cooking left to burn in the wok.
"I am Raymond-san. One of the few old-fags left. I came to this city a bright and happy 19 year old decades ago. Here I danced, laughed, fell in love and cried. I know a lot of things, strange things, some things I wish I didnt know."
    he begins an unwanted monologue.
"I can see through the makeup and prosthesis. I see people for who they really are. You are new to the city. That is certain. Your friend has a lead pipe under that cardboard tube at his belt. You have a pair of plastic guns under your jacket. These I saw as you entered my store."
He pulls out a cigarette, not exactly the best thing to do when cooking, and continues.
"Before I let you ask your question, I want you to answer mine. You are Japanese, am I correct?"

"Why do you ask?" you say to him.
"Oh no reason. I only ask to confirm if you are worthy." he answers you
    "Worthy of what?"
""You will find out if you answer me first."
"Yes. I am Japanese. I was born and raised in Japan."
"I knew it. Noone cringes subconsciously over my waitresses intentional bad diction like a real Japanese person does. Noone handles chopsticks like an authentic Nipponjin does."
He gets up off his bench and says, "Follow me. We must discuss things in a safer place."
He heads over to one of the large refrigerators and opens it.
Inside you see a dimly lit tunnel going through the wall and beyond.

You find yourself in a warehouse.
Wooden crates are piled up high, some of them opened and emptied of their contents.
A crowd of about a hundred or so people watch you expectantly.
"These are the downtrodden. These are the unfortunate. These are those that are looked down upon for not swearing their loyalty to only just one franchise." He says as he motions over the mob wearing various costumes and clothing.
    "These are your people."

He climbs a crate and has you do the same.
    He begins addressing the crowd.
"PEOPLE OF RAMEN-GUMI. FOR A LONG TIME WE HAVE SEARCHED FOR A NEW LEADER. FOR A LONG TIME WE HAVE LOOKED FOR A NEW FIGUREHEAD. WELL, WE HAVE NOW FOUND HIM."
He motions for you to step forwards.
"I PRESENT TO YOU YOUR NEW SHOGUN!"

Row by row, the mass of humanity begins to kneel before you.
Cardboard and foam begin creasing as those gathered genuflect.
    "W-wait, wha-." you ask them
"Shogun-sama!" the leader cries out, his eyes not daring to meet yours.
    "Shogun-sama! Shogun-sama! Shogun-sama! Shogun-sama!" The crowd mimics.
    "What is this?" you ask.
"You have in you the blood of kings." the leader tells you, His chef's clothes rustling as he bows deeper.
"We will follow your every whim! allow us to serve you!"
