One more thread 'til revolution, we will nip it in the bud!
We'll be ready for these school-boys!
They will wet themselves WITH BLOOOOOOOO-

    TG QUEST!!!

Short Summary: Good job, you killed Grimm! Too bad his death throes are collapsing the hollowed core of Hyrule!

Your troops in the planet core desperately try to rally as the quake makes it difficult for most to stand. Huge chunks of stone fall from the ceiling and cracks open in the floor, magma leaking up from below. Star-Lord's voice crackles over the comm, requesting for extraction over and over again.

As debris continues to fall all around your strike team at the planet's core, the Oncoming Storm is detecting a multitude of space-time fluctuations and ripples. Reports stream in of whole city blocks just vanishing into thin air, mountains erupting where there were none before, lakes and streams pouring forth where once there was only pavement. The planet's surface is violently changing in every way conceivable.

Alright, our first priority is getting our people out.
Al'Kesh 1 and Indefatigable, beam up our troops.
Al'Kesh 2 beam up the Mikasa (Asgard transporters are great) if it can't extract itself.

BLU Scout needs to run and grab the Ebon Lance of Longinus; he's the fastest guy we have on the ground.

    First things first.

GRAB THE LANCE. GRAB THE LANCE. GRAB THE GODDAMN LANCE.

    Second thing.

    GRAB LINK AND ZELDA.

Also, if possible grab Grimm's human body. Not the horrible fleshy-blob thing he was.

Al'Kesh, drop down in the Mikasa's hole until you can get transporter lock on us, and start beaming, for the love of God. Everyone, into the ship!

The planet's reverting to one of Hyrule's previous forms!

    Loot:
    thrown Lance of Longinus

as many of Light's army as we can
Anyone in Jay's bar and the Robo-diner (we attacked Metpharm at dawn, so it should be about lunchtime now, yes?)

Right, grab Link and Zelda and get out of there. We need to send orders to our orbital forces to grab everyone we can, mainly: X-Com Nova, Chozo, Gunship, Falco and Slippy, As much of the Army of Light as mortally possible (Especially Light, Rock, The Contras, Snake and Samus), Ryu, Captain N, The Inspector and Penny.

Have Tosh contact the Goddesses, see if they want to come with/can do anything.

Also, no more need for stealth; have Guardian, Valiance, Relentless, and All Under Heaven rendezvous with the Oncoming Storm.

Our forces need to pick up Link and Zelda, and the Avatar, to be beamed up.
Try to find Grimm's human body if it's there.

Open a comm-channel to Light, tell him to get everyone he can together, the reality is collapsing and we'll explain later.
Have the Relentless make a micro-Jump to the edge of the atmosphere and launch our Leopard and Union dropships to pick up Light and his forces. Try to get the Contra guys, Samus, and Snake, as well as Lucca and Light himself.
    Tell Light to recall Megaman.

Your forces manage to retrieve the Lance no problem, the Al'Kesh beaming out as many people as possible as fast as they can while magma begins to burst up from the ground in fountains and leak down from the ceiling in rivulets.

Your ISDs jump close to the Great Fox and lock onto it with tractor beams, the ship powering up its defensive systems in response to the action, Arwing units beginning to scramble from its hangar.

    You attempt to contact Light...

It's easier to teleport out if one of our guys is holding it, because our troops have subcutaneous tranporter beacons that enable fast lock-ons.

In this situation, we need all the milliseconds we can squeeze out of the transporters. While someone's grabbing the Lance, the transporters can be beaming out the other people we have down there.

You attempt to contact Dr. Light, but only a panicking lab aide picks up the comm. "What's going on?!" he screams.

Your ships warp into orbit to help with the evacuation/looting/rescue/whatever. The good news is that in the chaos, a good portion of the Galaxy Defense Force is vanished to elsewhere. The bad news is that your cover is broken and ships are being scrambled to intercept you, most notably the Star Destroyers as they are grappling with the Great Fox.

A: This world isn't being destroyed, it's being reset to its default state: Hyrule
B: The things that don't belong aren't being destroyed, but merely going back to where they originated.

...That being said, Goddesses, is it alright if we take the Link and Zelda we cured with us? I'm not really sure how the whole reincarnation thing works.

Just a thought, couldn't we just broadcast to Falco that our sensors indicate this area of space is becoming unstable along with the planet. We can keep them from being affected, but only if they are willing to work with us. We are just trying to save as many people as we can at this point. If they would like to take a chance on their own, we cannot guarantee their safety. Ask them if there is something we can do to prove that we are not hostile, other than the fact we have been helping Dr. Light and the fighting the corps. We don't have much time, so they need to decide now so we can focus our efforts elsewhere if they choose to stay.

This is not your place and staying will not bring your comrade back. If you come with us, you will have a chance to do something greater. To prevent heroes like Fox from being destroyed in vain. I ask you this: If Fox was still here what would he ask of you? Would he want you to stay when the battle had moved elsewhere or to keep fighting for the safety of everyone? Our time is short. We can offer you this chance, but you must decide soon. It won't be an easy path, but it is the right one. Please consider it."

After Spike finishes, you send this off. There is no response over the communications channels, but the Great Fox has disengaged its FTL drives and is moving towards your ships.

"Found him!" one of the Aurors shouts, pointing to a shallow bowl of water that shows a ninja jumping around a collapsing city, barely avoiding the chunks of concrete plummeting overhead as he carries a bulging bag on his back.

The Overlord begins to lift off to the outraged cries of the crowd as its engines begin to burn. The crew has to fire onboard weapons to fight off an attempt by several armed gangers to hold the hatches. Several civilians are killed attempting to hang off the boarding ramps or weapons turrets as the machine ascends, only to drop off and fall too far to survive.

X-COM NOVA begins giving their coordinates as well as craft IDs, sending their modest array of ships to join you. The Al'Keshes begin to beam them up as fast as they can manage.

A giant explosion is visible in space as Zebes bursts outward before phasing into nothingness.

On the planet, the majority of the surface is now covered in shifting forest, mountains, or seas. Huge tracts of The City fall to nothing. Huge space-time distortion waves ripple across the surface, reshaping everything in their path. Streams of civilian air attempt to flee event waves only to get caught in them and vanish, while several streams of spacecraft crawl upwards towards what they hope is salvation.

The Relentless isn't near full, but its shields are already taking damage from collapsing buildings, and they are perilously close to an event wave. The captain is requesting permission to rejoin the fleet.

The Galaxy Defense Force squadron has reached your ships, a cobbled together fleet of fighters led by a handful of frigates opening fire on the Valiance.

When we ordered Mouse to hack into the computer system, did he get any plans for Zero, Megaman, Protoman or any other robots?

Did Cossack give us any of above data?

    What ships came with us?

What did we acquire from the frantic looting at the end?

Is it possible to replicate any of the robot masters with the Hercules via a research project?

Now. After this we can check out the void engineer warzone or go to the SRWQ spot or do space pirating. At the same time we now have enough ships to multi-task and stuff. Space pirating and backtracking allows us to kill time for research and engineerign to catch up. Hunt down Hedonians, free the hostages.

We can now send the AUH to check out the grey world and do scans of it to conclusively determine what the colors on the sector map REALLY refer to.

We should invest 100% into small meta ships (for the transit drives) so we can actually do multi-tasking.

With Black Ops all over here, he's probably close to a breakdown. But we are making progress!

Apologize for not being able to score him any of the good stuff this time around. I think he probably needs it at this point.

We've managed to clear that last lynchpin world. Turns out that the cause of it all was a rogue scientist named "Dr. Grimm". He shaped the world into an 8-bit grimdark dystopia central in a perverse need to "preserve" the canon even after it had run its original course; he was also vastly mutated either by the energies needed to sustain such a place, or chose to mutate himself. We've got his corpse in one of the containment bays aboard our vessels, if R&D wants to have a look at it.

After defeating Grimm, the Hyrulian goddesses that presided over the world that Grimm shaped returned all of the canon-essential characters (and most of the non-essential people) to their rightful places. We've taken significant losses in terms of personnel and vehicles, but we did not lose any starships or heroes.

After Grimm died, the Hyrulian goddesses appeared to reconstruct the world that Grimm warped. While they sent people back to their respective canons, there were also a number of people who weren't sent back.

These people include several heroes and other combatants; they're currently either aboard our ships or following us in the non-TG flagged vessels. We've also taken on a significant amount of civilians/non-combatants who sought refuge on our ships when the goddesses started to reconstruct the world.

We were more or less in direct collaboration with Din, Faoure, and Nayru, so apologies if that was against regulations.
They appeared to already be somewhat meta-aware though, as they seemed to be able to separate the crossover into its individual components and place everything back where it should be.

...That reminds me, too bad we couldn't recruit DDD and his forces. Like he was pretty much a distinct character from his canonical incarnation.

Taking a Tausennigan Superfortress intact is actually easier than it seems, if you can get into one. And teraport interdiction fields can't stop teleporters.
And the shields in Schlock Mercenary are gravitic based and can't stop a subspace transport straight into their AI Control Center and right next to the switch that turns off the AI's allegiance.
And finally, the AI's are hardcoded to obey an ob'enn, with priority going to the one controlling their allegiance switch.

So it's quite a bit more plausible than it originally seems.

If we're robbing Zerg quest, we will do it while the universe was still someone normal. This is before Dyles came into existence. On a normal Starcraft timeline, this would be about the time Aiur is being attacked.

    That makes perfect sense.

How do you know it's friday?

    >>18473774
Dunno. It might be Thursday? We usually get the next session around Friday anyway.

For the third Troop choice, instead of White Mages, it'll probably need to be TG Looter Team.
The Ship Requisition will likely get us the Requisitions ship and crew we need, but the actual Looting part will likely need to be done by a Team.

If we can get both team and ship with a single Ship Requisition, that's fine.

Looter teams are part of a command staff.
The infantry and heavy-lifting are done with troops we give them.
Like, if we have troops unassigned, we say "right, here you go, get us something" and they go get us something.

Do you really want to leave our troops to a bunch of looters?
Especially as how many of our troops actually come back will be determined by the dice alone, and won't be mitigated by planning and all of the support that our task force has?

TG Looter Team = workaround requisitions shutdown. GM approved and endorsed.

Now how do you suppose we reliably recruit Tosh's classmates?

We could jack them from the "Starcraft Ghost" canon. It's dead, and will never be used again.

    So op.
    Next session when?
    >> MetaQuest OP 03/27/12(Tue)04:32 No.18474263
Not sure when the next session is. At least a week.

So the TG Looter Team is going to have auto-success with zero casualties? Can you guarantee that?
