Twitter for next thread time: HereticalLoveQ

The rest of the ride to the Keys, to your father's private airfield, is relatively uneventful. Which is a blessing, considering everything that's gone down over the last few days.

Namely getting stuck with an immortal witch in your mind and all that has followed because of it.

Its early morning by the time you arrive, and after giving your father a call, you find that you have a few hours to blow before the plane will be ready.

Figuring it might be a good idea to give your allies a call, and let them know you are going to be... Away for a while, you dig around and find one of the unused phones.

Dialing up the conspricacy nut, you keep your eyes peeled for a fitting place to pick up some new digs. Kiara has been ramping up her complaints concerning how bad yours are beginning to smell.

As usual, just a single ring.

"Hey, its me." You let him know before he starts ranting about not knowing the number.

"Oh, hey man, whats going on?"

"Going to be out of contact for a while, so if you need to contact me, use this email." You give him the address to a new one you'd made during a pit stop.

Apologies but its going to be a shorter thread tonight. Going to Detroit early tomorrow to pick up a friend coming home from Afghanistan and I have to head out around 5am.

OP pic is from the artist anon, and they are beyond groovy, as is he. Still pretty sure he's some kind of color wizard...

"Right, man, got it. Whatever it is you're up to, stay safe. Loads of chem trail activity recently, and I've been picking up a lot of stuff on my HAM set so the reptilians might be active as well."

"...Thanks for the advice." You hold back an exasperated sigh.

Ditching that phone after destroying it, you snatch up another and call Sarna, the little immortal witch you've turned into a double agent.

"Domino's pizza, placing a takeout order?"

    "..."

"Aww, you're no fun big bro! Anyways, I haven't had enough time to dig up anything useful yet."

"That's fine, I just need to let you know I'm going to be out of contact for a while. Probably a few days." You wonder how much is safe to say over the phone. She is in on your plan, so maybe she'll just figure things out on her own.

"Eh? Well good luck, I guess?"

"Thanks, stay out of trouble." You tell her before hanging up.

    "You smell..." Kiara chimes again.

"I know, I know!" You bark.

Its true. Even you admit its time for some new threads, so you swing off the highway and find a small department store.

Inconspicuous as all hell, focus on inconspicuous in Ukraine. We want something that says nothing about us, doesn't trigger any flags, someone your eyes just glide off of as there is nothing interesting about them. Also we want it to be baggy enough to conceal some weapons in.

Also a suit, few people will stop a man in a suit, tie thrown over one shoulder with a clipboard.

"I think we will be better off without looking like... You." Kiara does her best to sound serious.

"Yeah yeah, at least until we get back."

You sigh as you look around at the clothes on the racks. Clothes shopping, your ancient nemesis.

"Can I help you, sir?" A plain looking brunette in glasses asks, and you can judge by the tone of her voice that she really would rather you just leave.

"Nah, I've got it." You wave her off and keep walking around.

"According to your memories, you lack what is called a fashion sense." Kiara teases.

"That's because the world left fashion dead in a ditch about thirty five, maybe forty years ago." You think to her. Best not to be seen talking to yourself in here.

    "World lost it's groove, eh?"

"Yeah, now its all about tight pants and bullshit."

You just start snatching up things nearly at random, doing your best to hold back the bile in your throat and rising sense of dread. Inconspicuous equals "in fashion" or "boring", neither of which is you.

As you stand in the dressing room, you give the stink eye to pretty much everything you've picked out. All except for the red floral Hawaiian shirt and nondescript cargo shorts, both of which you are changing into as soon as you lack the need to be inconspicuous.

So that narrows it down to a nice but boring black suit; a forest green track suit, and what you dub "the teaching assistant", a set of slacks and a blue striped button-up shirt.

"I hate it all, so much."

"Just pick one so I don't have to listen to you whining anymore." Kiara sighs.

Ukrainians will probably recognize the signs of a bulletproof vest. It's a shitty, dangerous place. We should bring it along, but only put it on when we attempt entering the reactor.

We can count on Kiara's magic to heal up bullet wounds if we get shot in the meantime.

Also: Where the hell are we going to get radiation gear rated for the inside of a hot reactor?

Well, it would probably be for the best to blend in with the locals as much as possible...

"Beeg american tee-tays..." You say quietly as you look yourself over in the suit.

    "Wha?"

"Guess you haven't gotten to that memory yet." You shrug.

After purchasing the clothes, you strut out to your car, which if it had a brain might be wondering who you are and what you did with it's owner.

"Sorry babe, its just temporary, promise." You rub the dash affectionately.

Checking your watch, you figure Diego has to have the plane nearly ready by now, if it isn't already. Best to not keep him waiting around, he hates waiting around.

After branching off of US 1 and snaking through some back roads, you hit one that looks like its hardly ever driven on. Which is very likely, considering the security gate a quarter mile down it.

You roll up slowly, the guard gives you a single glance before raising the gate and waving you through. Good thing they were expecting you and weren't too baked out of their minds, you smell the familiar scent even from inside your car as you drive past.

Sure enough, it doesn't take long to spot the plane from the road.

"Jesus dad, a Hercules..." You can't help but marvel at the massive quad-prop beast as you draw nearer.

The rear gate is up, so you figure it's likely already been loaded up with gear and Diego's custom Little Bird.

Which means he's been waiting for you. Shit.

Sure enough, you spot him sitting next to your father, both of them eating which looks like a five-star breakfast complete with tuxedo-clad waiter. You also guess that the glass in your dad's hand isn't ginger ale.

Your dad waves you over to them, and you park the car nearby before killing the engine. Though your father had told you he was going to show up, you aren't sure if you are quite ready to see him face to face yet. It's been a long time.

"Just stay calm, we don't have to stick around long. Seems your mentor is already itching to get in the air." Kiara tells you, and you surmise she'd been gleaning info from both of them.

"Yes, he's drinking." She adds, confirming your suspicions of what was in your dad's glass.

    "Great." You grumble.

"Heya son! Come sit down, have a quick bite!" Your dad calls to you as you approach.

A quick glance at Diego and the old soldier gives a curt nod, letting you know he's all set to get to flying already.

"I would dad, but I really have to get going. Got a narrow window for time."

"Ah, damn." Your old man frowns, dabbing his mouth with a napkin, "I was hoping for a chance to talk, but I suppose it can wait."

"We do need to get in the air pretty quick here boss, I don't trust the brits we bought out to stick around with that fuel if we show up late." Diego tells him, standing up as he does.

"Right, right. We did pay them quite a lot, though."

"Best to not risk it." Diego says before clapping your dad on the shoulder and walking over to you.

"Eh, you're my son, all you have to do is ask." He stands up and sets his drink aside.

"You know its not even noon yet, dad..."

"Ah its all this stress, just the stress." He waves off your concern as though its nothing. Perhaps it is.

"When I make it back, we'll have to figure out something to do for the anniversary."

Your dad's eyebrows perk up at your words.

"So you're going to come this time?"

    "Yeah, I think I should."

"It would do an old man good to have you there." He smiles a bit sadly and reaches out to shake your hand.

Instead, you pull him into a single arm hug, which he returns. You clap him once on the back before pulling away.

"Keep my car safe, she may look old but she's young at heart." You tell him as you hand him the keys.

"Safe? Yeah, I can do that." He says as he looks appreciatively at the old 'cuda. You know he's a sucker for anything classy with a motor in it, which means you've left it in capable hands.

"Stay safe, eh?!" He calls out as you walk toward the plane next to Diego.

"You know me, best I can do is try!" You wave one arm above you without turning around.

Diego climbs up into the cockpit and gestures at the co-pilot seat next to him.

"...You taught me in a Cessna..."

    "Same principles." He shrugs.

Its been a long damn time since you've flown anything, but you can guess that there aren't likely any seats in the back right now. Without any other options, you sit down and put on the headset as he does the same.

Diego gets the massive plane moving rapidly, he never was one to waste time. You look over the instrument panel and try to figure out it's layout in the hopefully rare (and likely disastrous) event that you ever have to fly this thing.

Soon you are looking out the window at the ground below as it grows smaller and smaller, the aircraft banking around to find its heading.

"So we're heading to the Ukraine, eh?" Diego asks over the set.

"Yeah, we need a fuel stop in the UK?"

    "Yep."

"I'm going to warn you ahead of time, you are going to think I'm crazy..."

"Kid, if I thought you were crazy, I would have never taught you how to do any of the shit I did."

Well, he has a good point...

"It was the day Marco tried to off me..." You dive into the story, the whole story. You've known Diego long enough that you wouldn't be able to live with yourself if you dragged him into this shit without him knowing everything you know.

The old soldier seems to take it all in stride, nodding along and asking questions that let you know he's absorbing everything.

"So you are only somewhat alive and now we may have to fight through a superior force, armed with just what's in this plane and whatever we can pick up in the Ukraine... All so we can bust in to a melted down nuclear reactor to find the soul of a witch that is inside of your mind...?"

"Well when you put it like that..." You groan.

    "Makes you sound crazy, eh?"

    "A bit, yeah."

"I don't mean to be an ass, but do you have any proof of any of this? I don't doubt you, but..." He shakes his head.

"Kiara?" You ask, out loud this time.

All at once the dials and gauges of the plane start to go haywire, spinning and beeping and klaxons blaring. All for just a handful of seconds before they all return to normal at the same exact time.

Diego sits back in his seat, and calmly blinks once.

"Now that," He says without a hint of surprise present, "Is some shit."

"You know me, I'll take it to the grave." Diego nods.

"Though I'd rather that not be on this trip." He adds with a rare smirk.

"You seem... Pretty calm for all of this, you know." You prod, a bit shocked at how well he is taking it.

Diego nods and looks deep in thought for a second.

"Well you know I did some pretty black ops shit back in my younger days."

"You aren't that old, come on."

"Yeah well, I'm pretty sure I've seen some dudes that might be a part of this Order. It was back in the Gulf War, I was part of the incursion force, tip of the spear and all of that..."

Diego lights up a cigar, and you gratefully accept the one he offers to you.

"We were deep into it by this point, wiping out SCUDs, taking down key targets, the like. Ran into a group of five unknown combatants, not just the average guys with AK's, either. Think we startled them because they shot first, which was pretty fucking retarded, considering how fast we shwacked 'em. First thing we noticed was their ammunition, silver tipped looking shit, not exactly standard fare."

Diego adjusts the autopilot slightly to adjust for an airliner.

"Then we started finding more and more silver shit, until one of the guys said he was pretty sure it was platinum, which was pretty fucking bizarre, considering they wore so much."

The old soldier looks over at you.

"It was a minute later that we found the three little girls in the back of their vehicle, cuffed with more platinum."

"Well we didn't know what to make of it, none of it. Called up to command and they told us to wait for further orders, which meant shit all considering how little we cared about orders. Talked to the girls and found out they were from a village over. Took em home and made sure they were safe with their parents. Dad said they went and disappeared in the middle of the night, without him ever knowing. He had the whole damn place up in arms over it. Almost turned into a bloodbath right there, until we let them have the corpses of the dudes we found."

"I think you might have found yourself a few witches." You ponder out loud.

"Didn't know what to make of it back then, but sure fits the bill." He nods in return.

"Intel came in from some of our other teams, found out that there were more villages all saying the same kind of shit. Young girls and a few boys all disappearing in the night. Small firefights against groups that the locals thought were CIA. Command had to double our objectives and push us to exhaustion to get us to drop our little investigation."

"We don't know any of their comm info, which is going to be encrypted. We don't know their command structure, how they operate... Just too many variable for that. If this is an elite guard, they aren't going to believe something like that any longer then it takes them to switch off their safeties."

    "So... No?"

"Not looking like its possible at this point." Diego nods.

"Anything you want to know, Kiara?"

    "Nothing." She replies.

"Never do have any questions, do you..." You say, it isn't a question, she never does.

"Ever encounter anything like that again, while you were in the service or anything?" You ask Diego.

You talk for a little while about random shit, your car, his chopper, nothing important. You sleep through much of the flight, only waking back up when you hit the UK and fuel up for the last leg of the trip.

Diego doesn't seem to mind, he enjoys flying enough to keep himself occupied.

The ridiculously rough landing on an "airfield" in the Ukraine wakes you up in a hurry. Grass on either side of the plane, dirt under the wheels...

"Ukrainian special, had it reserved just for us." Diego cracks another rare smile, you can tell he enjoyed the challenge the little airfield offered.

When the plane finally comes to a stop, a group of AK-wielding men approach in a pickup. You notice the PKM gunner on the back has the weapon trained right at the cockpit.

"Trouble?" You ask, reaching for your own AK and wondering if the 30mm grenade launcher would take out the whole truck.

"Not yet." Diego says, but he unzips the duffel-bag at his side, the one with his short AR in it.

One of the men approaching looks down at a piece of paper, back at the plane, and then waves his hand and shouts something.

The men all lower their rifles, and the gunner swivels his off to a safe direction.

"See?" Diego says before getting ready to exit the plane.

The Ukranians question Diego for a few minutes while you stand by idly, just listening to the conversation. They had gotten worried, thinking you were late. One of them had gotten the time wrong, which earned him a gruff smack on the head from their leader.

"Apologies." He says in a thick accent, "He is idiot."

A few minutes later, and the Ukrainians are helping you and Diego unload the massive plane. They brought some equipment which makes it easier to get the helo out of the hold, which they park in the field. Diego sets about getting it ready to fly in the off chance that you will need it sooner rather then later.

You, on the other hand, marvel at the cache of weapons that your father had added to the cargo hold. You fancy your little AK enough to take it along, but you figure something quiet might be a good idea, as the suppressor for your current rifle will only do so much.

"But damn dad, this..." You just shake your head and chuckle a bit, like a kid in a candy store.

You dredge the VSS out of it's crate, along with four extra magazines all loaded to the brim. You already have seven for the AK and three for the Sig, so you figure if you need any more small arms firepower then you are already in too much shit for it to matter.

The MK153 is easier, the US packaging making it quite simple to remove from it's container. Along with the launcher itself you snag one FTG tube, two HEAA tubes, and a single HEDP tube, as well as two spare magazines for the spotting rifle.

All of this you somehow fit inside your duffel, which is now quite full of some serious firepower and quite heavy.

One of the Ukrainians snags it and tosses it in the bed of another pickup.

"This one's ours." Diego adds as he throws his own gear in and hops into the drivers seat.

You notice the Ukrainians your father no doubt hired as they move Diego's helicopter over to a small hangar, and argue with one another as to what to do about the plane.

"Think we can trust them?" You ask as you pile into the Hilux.

"Do we have a choice? Anyways, your dad paid them quite well, and they are some of his friend's best men, apparently."

Diego turns over the Toyota's engine and shifts it into gear before checking around to make sure he didn't forget anything.

"So where are we headed?" You ask, not even sure as to where you are.

"Safehouse, about twenty kilometers east. We can get our plan together once we're there, make sure we have anything we could possibly need."

The drive is over some fairly bumpy road, which the "vintage" Toyota handles well. Along the way you make a point to stop and pick up a dozen pre-paid cell phones. You find yourself wishing for a faraday cage inside the truck, until you realize that none of the cells have reception.

"Which is why I brought a few sat-phones." Diego chuckles as he notices your frustration.

You take one of them and eagerly start trying to use it, which proves to be even more frustrating then the cellphones.

"Easy there, they aren't new models. Those won't pick up much of a signal in these trees, you can try from the safehouse."

"First time trying one." You gripe.

"Don't worry, first time I tried using one I ended up rigging it with some detcord and just blowing the fucking thing up." Diego smirks, as though recalling a fond memory.
    >> Papa-N !!z0ABcqUnNAP 03/22/12(Thu)21:57 No.18423298
The "safehouse" might only deserve to be called "safe" as it isn't exactly a house.

The aging shack has a corrugated tin roof, and most of it's wooden construction looks like its been more or less left to nature since the fall of the iron curtain.

"Well at least we got a nice place..."

"For as much as we paid them, seems like they might have cheated us a bit." Diego agrees.

Upon entering the shack, however, you quickly stop griping.

The interior is actually quite nice, some newer couches and chairs, even a fridge.

More interesting then those, however, is the electronics suite lining one wall.

"Some nice stuff here. Russian, but nice." Diego comments on it as he looks it all over.

"Encrypted radio links up to a series of dedicated satellite phones, very difficult for anyone to track back here. Nearly impossible, even." Adds an elderly man with liver spots as he walks into the main room, slicing an apple in his hand with a small knife and eating the chunks.

"Who are you?" You ask, unsure of what to do.

"Friend of your dads, and leaving. You're free to use anything here, just try not to destroy any of it." He says as he walks out the door, and you notice a Landrover limousine waiting for him, must have arrived shortly after you did.

"He reliable?" You ask Kiara as you watch the old man go.

"Somewhat. He might be a friend of your dads, but all he has on his mind is money. As long as he gets paid, he's happy." She informs you.

    Well that's better than nothing...

"I'm not sure if I trust their equipment, could be rigged with bugs." You light up a cig to quiet the demons in your mind, the ones other than Kiara.

    "Jerk." She snorts.

"Which is why I brought this along..." Diego pulls something out of his bag and you take a closer look. It looks almost like some kind of small remote control with an antenna, certainly nothing you recognize.

"Checks for bugs." He adds as he notices your confusion.

After a few minutes of walking around the room, waving the device around and running it along the walls, Diego nods.

"Guess we can trust them that much at least, nothing here." He puts the gadget back.

"You're free to do whatever you need, I'm going to get some sleep, that was a long damn flight." He waves before heading back to one of the bedrooms you already investigated.

You grab out one of the satellite phones and head outside. In the open clearing, it still takes a few minutes for the phone to pick up any kind of signal.

Holding the scrap of paper with the contact info in front of you, you dial up one of the numbers and wait.

After a few rings, it picks up.

"So you the one I was told to wait for? Whats the password?"

"Ancient aliens." You respond, reading off the paper.

"Inside? Hope you've brought some sick radiation gear or you're a dead man. You might be a dead man even with some... There's only one entrance still usable, everything else has been welded shut or bricked over. It has four guards on it at all times, two of them are snipers that won't be easy to spot. If you need to get inside, its that door or you make your own."

"I'll have to get some. So there's pretty heavy security?" You ask, setting down the paper.

"Heavy doesn't even begin to describe it. I know of at least four hidden tank bunkers, each of them staffed around the clock. I also know that they have a gunship or two on call at all times, you'd have a fifteen minute window before they arrive."

    "That little?" You gape.

"That little." He confirms, "The tanks would probably be active in five or less, depending on the crew's state. These aren't regular soldiers, so don't expect to catch them snoozing."

"Well shit. How guarded is the control room? I could pop open the main door from inside, right?" You ask, trying to figure out some way to take them out without an all-out gunfight.

"Might work, but there's no guarantee it's still even rigged up. I've never seen them open the place up, so I doubt they'd just leave a switch around that does it. The door with the guards has a key panel on it, but I don't know the password."

An assault on the comm channels is going to alert, well, everyone for everything. We should push it back as far as possible, and then (sadly) Not use a thumping funky beat.

Saturate the airwaves with the voice of a grumbling russian man in a short recorded loop about wiping away the stain of nuclear power and ending the meddling of international reptilioid corporations.

And then have someone Far Away target anything that is obviously the visitor center, or maybe that smokestake with the red and white stripes, with a shoulder-launched rocket.

Eco-terrorists are not The Sword's problem, so they will try to mellow at least a little while "real" security forces search for someone in the human-safe zones.

Meanwhile we walk across the barren yard (near that big crane) and find an entry into the long building along the edges where the sarcophagus is butted against the structure.

The soul is hopefully not in the reactor zone proper, because the casing would have been shredded in there and there has been lots of international groups working in and around that. But in the operations building, on the "hot" side of the massive concrete walls meant to protect the plant operators who continued to work for years? A likely place, and one intact enough to get in to, especially if we super-punch a welded door.

"Think you can do anything about those tanks? Jumble their sensors or anything?" You ask Kiara.

"Unlikely, if they really are armored in platinum. That would pretty much disable anything I could do in my current state. With my soul I could just turn the ground underneath them to mud and make them sink, or something." She shrugs.

"Well I'd rather not rely on the rockets, if I don't have to. I want to sneak in, as close as I can anyways, which is why I'll have Diego drop me off in the rear, out of sight. Should be able to get pretty close without too much attention."

"That would probably be for the best. I'd rather not rely on your firearms alone to get us there." Kiara agrees.

"Same. But with Diego circling around the front and cracking off rockets, a lot of the enemy force should be tied up."

"Perhaps, you mortals certainly are easily distracted." Kiara says as she tilts her head to gaze at the sarcophagus.

A tap on your forehead rouses you from your sleep, and you sit up on the couch, rubbing your eyes.

"Get up, we've got to move." Diego tells you, his tone serious.

    "Wha? Why?"

"Getting some bad vibes from some of the guys we supposedly bought, I think they might be trying to roll over on us." Diego says, handing you your AK.

"Shit, what?!" You exclaim, hopping up off the couch and checking to make sure the rifle is chambered. It is, Diego really must be worried.

"Been monitoring them ever since we got here, bugged their vehicles. Their boss is shopping around, trying to find a deal on anyone who might want two armed Americans." He says as he gestures to your armor.

Hurriedly you switch out of the track suit and into some A-TACS fatigues and slip the vest over it. You quickly check the pouches and plates, everything already in place. Snatching the VSS and SMAW off of the table, you sling both as best you can and notice Diego peeking out the door.

"We're still clear, but we need to get back to the airfield. I hope you've worked out some kind of plan, we'll refine it on the way."

    "On the way?!" You panic.

"On the way. If we're about to be sold out, then this is our one chance to make this operation a success." He nods as he slings his Colt.

"There's no one nearby, we should hurry." Kiara tells you.

"Witchy girl says we're clear at least to the truck, lets move." You tell your friend, who nods and shoulders a backpack full of gear before heading out the door.

"Witchy girl?" Kiara asks, clearly unamused. Tough for her, you don't have time to fool around anymore right now.

You and Diego pile into the pickup and he get it started and moving rapidly, the suspension almost bottoming out on some of the potholes in the dirt road as he pushes the Hilux hard across it.

"We're going to do this fast, like I taught you. Its going to take me a few minutes to fire the bird up, so I'll need you to cover me."

You nod in response, telling him you are indeed ready.

    ...Shit, you HOPE you're ready.
    >> Papa-N !!z0ABcqUnNAP 03/22/12(Thu)23:48 No.18424887
It doesn't take long to reach the small airfield, which is good because it doesn't give the adrenaline any more time to fuck with your system.

    Which it already has.

Thankfully they just have one pickup guarding the place, four guys lazing around outside of it, smoking and drinking as they talk.

That gives Diego plenty of time to swing to the right of them and level the 203 on his Colt.

    *Thunk!*

The grenade arcs out of the tube, and the four men don't have time to do anything as it impacts the front of their pickup. The truck detonates almost instantly, erupting into a fireball of gasoline from the extra tank lashed to the front of it.

Diego doesn't even admire his handywork, he just drives.

The hangar is locked, twice, only confirming his suspicions that these guys are trying to fuck you over here.

A few quick shots from his carbine and he starts hauling the hangar doors open.

"Shit, the roof is low..." You comment, "We can hook it up to a truck and pull it out?" You ponder.

"No time, I can work around it. Setup by that pile of bricks, over there!" He gestures, "Should give you a good view of the place without drawing fire toward me."

You sprint off in the direction of the cover, and Diego heads inside to get the chopper up and running. You hear the whine as the engine fires up, but you know its not going to be ready to fly for a few minutes longer.

Which might give those guys in the pickup barreling toward you from down the runway enough time to stop your plan in its infancy.

    >action?

"Company!" You shout over the headset.

"Take them out! I need another minute!" Diego replies.

    Shit.

Ducking behind the bricks, you un-sling the VSS and give it a look. You've never used one, but like all slav weapons, half of it's beauty lies in it's simplicity of use.

It doesn't take you more than a few seconds to charge the rifle and get the sights on target. You know the heavy 9mm ammo will drop like a stone, so you use the scope to do the hard work for you, holding it a few dashes down and leveling it on the car.

You don't know if the glass is bulletproof, or maybe that's just the concern you're giving yourself so you don't have to smoke the driver.

Either way, you level the sights on the front right wheel of the vehicle thundering in your direction. At the same time, you do your best to stay concealed in hopes that they won't engage with the PKM before you get a shot off.

    First 1d20 determines shot effect.

The gunshot is more akin to a cough then anything else, in fact, you're so worked up that you don't notice the recoil and almost wonder if you fired at all.

Until you see the vehicle drop down on the right side and swerve violently, the driver unable to correct for the blown tire on the terrible road at such a high speed.

The pickup careens off until it rams headlong into a tree, though slow enough to not incapacitate anyone on-board.

...Those people that disembark and quickly start sprinting in your direction.

"We're good! Get over here!" Diego yells through the set.

Slinging the VSS again, you pick the AK off of your chest and rise from cover. You quickly lay down a few bursts of cover fire, causing the relatively untrained men attacking to panic and drop to the ground.

This gives you enough time to sprint for the hangar, which you do while cracking off a few bursts to keep their heads down.

Sliding into the passenger seat of the helicopter, Diego doesn't wait a second before giving the rotor power and causing the chopper to rise a few feet above the concrete below. Slowly he starts to work it forwards, to get it out of the hangar.

The men in the field start firing, which Diego answers with a long burst from the heavy .50cal guns, quickly silencing the incoming.

A few seconds later, and you are clear of the hangar and out into the open. Diego quickly increases power, and the weapon-laden bird responds by rising rapidly into the sky, out of range of the men on the ground, if they are even still alive.

"Nice work down there." He grunts as he adjusts heading.

    "So I've got a plan..."

    >"Drop me off in the back, out of sight, and then head out front and fuck anything that looks at you funny."

    >"We hit them head on, hard and fast, let the drone keep them occupied."

"Drop me off in the back, out of sight, and then head out front and fuck anything that looks at you funny. Getting back out shouldn't be a problem once Kiara has her soul back."

"That I can do. You sure you'll be right on the ground by yourself?" He asks, with a look of concern.

"I'll be fine, I've got a witch in my brain, what could possibly go wrong?"

Diego grunts in response and keeps the chopper low to the trees, doing his best to stay out of radar altitude.

You sit back in the seat and check on your gear, capping your VSS and AK mags off with some ammo from a box in the chopper.

"We're about to attack a blown nuclear reactor, guarded by some kind of elite black ops for a secret order, all so a witch in your brain can get her soul back..." Diego grins and just slowly shakes his head.

"I have some friends that would cut off their left nut to be in on this. Fuck, if those guys could see me now..."
