    (It didn't turn yet)

    >>18167062

Smythe is flipping the fuck out when you finally make it to the war room. You ask him what's wrong. He tells you the following:

-Doomenor formed an alliance with someone that put their turn before the Khan's.
-Doomenor bum rushed the Khan's northern forces with a force of a few thousand men and elves.
-Doomenor's mysterious backer may have units nearby, but he can't get a good look at them.
-The Hobs have moved to consolidate, restack, and reconsider their offensive.

Halston Flowers believes that at some point negotiations between the two were initially going well, but that the Hobgobwins screwed up and drew retaliation somehow. He says it is likely that this was entirely unexpected, and should buy a few turns. He says that Doomenor and the Khanate have very "bad mojo".

Trapping the swamp, and enticing the bastards towards us, or finding a way to sneak attack them would be best.

okay so that gives us more time to earn money to be able to fight their air force.

OP ask Smythe if the stack is still heading towards the swamp when it's their turn. We need to know if they turned around or not. It could give us an oppertunity to not fight them yet, but still upgrade our units and cities.

We need to contact Doomenor inmediately. Have the lookamancer tell us where the nearest city of doomenor is, and how many turns would it take us to get the by megalogwiff. Use flowers to tell us how likely is that they join with us to attack the khan.
Then send Flowers to the Magic Kingdom, our position is already know by charlie so that info surely is for sale, no point in tryig to keep it secret, tell flowers to look for a thinkamancer, the one that most likely would join us.

Ok this will be good if either side succeeds a power vacuum will be created so we need to build forces and prepare since a huge reduction in khan forces means he will be spread too thin and if the Khan falls then there's a large number of now barbarian cities we should take advantage of this and if the air forces are separate from the khans main then if they go barbarian we may be able to hire them and cover the costs by expanding our mountain city mining operation.

Do we have enough Schmuckers to increase Rodrom to Level 3? It seems a solid investment- we need both additional income and the additional units and defenses that may become available.

If we can't afford that, increase Quoth to level 2. That should raise morale there as well as the expected incomes and new unit types.

    Strategy time!!

I say we invite the archons to join the feast, maybe that way we will get them to put a bit more effort into our cause. After that ask them about them moving in our turn, that does seem a bit weird.

We'll also hire 5 of them for about 5 turns, and ask to see if we can pay now and receive the services later like when the khan forces arrive or we decide to attack them when they're fighting Doomenor forces.
Ask Charlie about a kind of insurance, we pay a bit more for the archons says 50 shmuckers per archon, that way if we need the archons they come and fight, but if we don't need them then we get our money back except that little extra that charlie can keep. I mean, it's a great deal for him right, he could make money from nothing.

Your units get a bonus for the Warlord in the stack, a bonus from their Chief Warlord, in the Hex or the Battlespace normally, in addition to Artifact, equipment, and Dance bonuses.

The Archons can enable your troops to engage in dance fighting, and I'm interpreting their abilities to mean that they give a boost to a Warlord's leadership stat.

    "Do what now?"

"Someone already pre-paid for our services for five turns. Oh, wait, you seem to be under a compulsion, good thing we've already been payed for spell security."

that depends on the circumstances. If we hit something lightly defended hard, we might could take it without too many losses. Maybe a suprise attack by tunneling under the walls. And as for backing in time, that depends on where the enemy is. It's doable if we make use of mounts and cover.

Hell, we could dig some tunnels just a little ways from the city that our guys could fall back to. They could collapse the entrance and come up safe in Quoth, or our swamp territory.

Our target is this Snidely Whiplash guy.

We ask out casters to find out who the fuck this guy is while on their next trip to the magic kingdom, and then we have our payers.

Most warlords and casters probably know about Rigger from Liam, but nobody except for Frank should know we sold information about them. It happens now!

The walls grow larger and thicker, and watch towers flower from the stone. Your keep becomes larger, and your gates thicker and heavier. You can't see it from the inside, but a shallow moat has sprung up around your city. Your barracks grow to a respectable size, and your dance hall expands while your grounds swell.

Your income from the city jumps to 1000 Schmuckers a turn, your farms in Rodrom now produce 100 Schmuckers each, and you have access to more advanced units! Warlords will be completed in 4 turns instead of five now, that time being halved if you pop only a Warlord.

For now, end turn and party?

MY GOD! If we rode that we'd be unstoppable! It be an unbeatable unit! We could take on the whole Khan's army with just that unit!

We should get Smythe, or any of the casters with time on their hands, to look into the going price of a low-level moneymancer.

Have liam share his experiments with us, we need to see if we can make this mountception work with a megalowgwiff.

Also, get that warlord popping. Do we know what units we can make?

that's 12+12+x for the gobwin+3 for the wight. Replace the wight with Frank Marion's crazy high attack score and we'd really be unbeatable!

Have Shang do it along with trying to level up some. But wait until after the fight with the Khan's air force. We'll need him to hide wounded soldiers and screw with the enemy. Liam takes away flying. And Flowers helps in the war room making nice matchups so we win and have forces where they're best. Smythe of course, watches stuff.

Actually, I gotta run for tonight. Next thread is Saturday at the usual time. It will begin with a list of new units, current assets, and various other things.

Then the feast happens and plot descends like an angry harpy.
