Right, let's try this again. I forgot to archive the last thread and don't remember shit about what happened beyond a vague recollection of killing a man for his boots. So, re-do?

You are a monster. The unnatural spawn of magic and sin, you are despised by the natural world and reality itself. Man fears you, hunts you, and wishes most dearly for a world rid of your presence. But you are no great beast, crushing villages and eating the flesh of men. You are newly formed, weak, and unknowing. But what exactly are you?

    Options
    >Imp
    >Slime
    >Troll
    >Ghoul
(Ask for a further explanation of any monster choice and it will be provided.)

We roll d20's for actions. The d20 determines the success, not the likelihood of being chosen. Whatever I find most entertaining or most commonly supported will be used.

You are an IMP. Unwise and untested, you are a young demon fresh from the spawning pits, summoned by mortal hands into the world. You awaken for the first time, in front of a young man who furiously exclaims his happiness in "Finally getting the spell right!" He is skinny, rather short, with messy blonde hair and he dresses poorly.

But before we get to your reaction to being summoned, what TYPE of IMP are you?

    >Red Imp
Strong in arm and quick to anger, Red Imps are resistant to fire and larger than other Imps, though still no where near human height.
    >Blue Imp
Small, slight, and calm, Blue Imps are immune to cold and talented in magical affairs.

The issue is that I fear it would become fetish fuel. I agree that being a succubus is probably the most profitable route we could go in-character, but in terms of metagaming, I feel like it would attract lecherous cretins who would see it as fap-bait. Do you think there's any way to prevent that? If not, would you rather tolerate Those Guys or purposely go a route which stands a harder time being seen as purposely erotic?

I don't think that /tg/ generally goes for fetish fuel unless it's made clear to them that's the intention.
    Remember Frost Giantess Quest?
As for prevention, we can do it as I originally suggested, and pull an Emma Frost. Rather than actually having sex, just make the victim believe that they did through forced hallucinations.

Even if we do get Those Guys though, I believe that they will be manageable and reasonable. It's /tg/, not /v/.

I don't think we can get a contract to work unless we ACTUALLY do the act promised in the contract. Since the act is 'have sex' rather than 'make me think we had sex,' I think that it would be necessarily sexual. However, I would prefer if we had it fade to black or something and presented it as a means to contractually gain power rather than an act which actually grants stimulating gratification for us. THAT type of sex can be saved in the unlikely event that our character, in the distant future, gets a mutual lover.

Instead of making a contract that says

    Make one that says:
"Your soul for one night of unimaginable pleasure".

As long as we never specify what we're doing, it shouldn't be a problem. I do agree however that it should be a fade to black in either case. Might get pretty creepy otherwise.

Ok, how about a summary of what's actually happened as you haven't read the thread?

The demon got summoned by a very bad novice wizard. Escaping his bindings easily, they ran off into the streets. Going into the sewers, they found an old man, and entered into a contract for his soul. They killed a man as the contract required, and returned to grab the Old Mans soul. That's REALLY all that's happened.

    Agreed.

Well OP, I'll suggest that we return to the house of the kid that summoned us and strike him a deal:
In exchange for teaching him how to properly bind a summoned creature, we get food and shelter for as long as we need it with the caveat that he can never summon and bind ourselves.

Ok, if we're done bitching now, let's continue.

Chloan, you find yourself standing in front of an old man cleaning himself up as best he can after a weeping fit. You have claimed and devoured his soul and become a changeling through the ingested power. As you consider what to do next, a voice can be heard in the back of your skull, like a buzzing whine. Eventually, it coalesces into recognizable sentences.

    "CHLOAN, MY CHILD." It booms.
"I SEE YOU HAVE CLAIMED YOUR FIRST SOUL...MOST DON'T GET THAT FAR."
"RETURN TO ME WITHIN A WEEK, AND WE WILL DISCUSS...TERMS."

The pain of the voice fades as quickly as the source does. Your mind feels...unclean, to say the least. You recognize the voice as that of your sire.

Which means we need to get more so we can compete, or at least make it not worth his while to try and attack us.

We question our new soul-slave about other homeless men who would trade favours for souls.

You alter yourself to look as a human. Your horns shrink into your skull, your tail fuses into one of your legs, and your wings shrivel up into nubs. Your skin lightens in tone, and your eyes become a bright, but human green. You now look like any other one of the citizens of this city, though somewhat attractive. You still appear young.

    >>17979279

You must escape your binding to this world given by your summoner to return to the pits, or find a wizard to create a portal. However, bindings not actively maintained by the summoner naturally decay over time and can be forced asunder by a powerful enough demon.

You leave the sewers and wander back to the dwelling of Eric the Wanna-Be-Wizard and his Mother. You slip into the alley behind his home and climb up the old, pitted wall, coming to the window to his room. Peering in, you see that he is inscribing runes on the floor again, and looking around for something. Perhaps the spellbook now in your possession?

Knocking on the window, he wanders over and opens it.

Find our way to the richer neighbourhoods and scout around for a few likely houses.

Tourniquet. Put his belt around the topmost part of his leg and pull it tight as fuck, then buckle it. Is arterial spray going on? If so, leave it at that, he'll lose the leg, but he'll survive the knifing. If there isn't arterial spray, apply pressure to the wound until it clots, then carefully and slowly loosen the belt. He'll be on crutches for a while, and may walk with a limp, but he'll be fine.

This. Some bandages would help in the second case too, but this. If there's arterial spray, he'll need to be taken to someone who can perform an amputation. I expect that's not the case, though. If his femoral artery was nicked, he would likely have been dead long before we got there. It takes less than a minute to be dead outright - and unconscious far sooner - with a sliced femoral. So, tourniquet, pressure, release of pressure, and then making a bandage out of his shirt should work.

Ripping cloth from his shirt, you tie it around his upper thigh, pulling it as tight as possible. The blood flow slows, but doesn't stop entirely. You press a hand against it, and though he awakes, screaming in pain before passing out again, the wound is burned shut.

As the contract is fulfilled, a small round bauble raises from his heart. It is a pure, light blue, and larger than the hobos soul. Much larger, in fact.

Well, from what I understand, we are aiming to be more powerful in the short term until our size stabilizes, a succubus in the medium term until we've acquired a lot of power, and some sort of demon queen in the long term as a goal we'll probably never reach but towards which we will always strive. So, we're looking for more deals to make until we become a succubus. So, I dunno, interesting soul-getting encounters, ideally with bigger risks having more than one soul as payoff, with smaller risks having just the one?

As for drawing, I would suggest a drawing of our character in her natural demon form. In fact, I would suggest a new drawing at the start of each thread, to show how the character has progressed and what loot they've gotten. The next quest would probably show our preteen-looking blue demoness wrapped in a cheap, brown blanket as a sort of makeshift dress/toga, horns, tail, and hand-mouths clearly visible..

    Know what I mean?
