It was some pretty heavy stuff, Axel had to admit. The things she described nearly made Alfie vomit in horror. Honestly, he had to fight that particular urge as well. As soon as they reached their base camp and ensured the priestess was put somewhere safe, Axel started writing his report for when the rest of the unit returned. He had the feeling this was the kind of stuff that went way above his pay grade...

PRISONER REPORT:

After securing the Priestess, she had made it known to us that the Kashir were dabbling in occult rituals. While we don't quite know what the specifics of these rituals are, the Priestess has confirmed that it involves the sacrifice of "babies of sacred vessels" to ancient and long dead ancestors. In other words, the Kashir have it in their minds to sacrifice babies of royal blood to summon their terrible gods. I believe we've seen evidence of this when we rescued the Young Prince five years ago.

Essentially, the Priestess says that her people are trying to play God, manipulating and twisting life in an attempt to achieve some sort of resurrection of their ancestors.

I believe the reason why this battle hasn't spawned a death god is due to the fact that the Priestess was extracted before it could be complete.

She also murdered her own child in order to prevent its sacrifice.

In conclusion, it is highly likely that we have not seen the last of these "death gods" the Kashir appear to worship so heavily.
