    Do you see?!

    DO YOU SEE?!?!

    TG QUEST!!!

    Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/17615286/

Short summary: You have stumbled into the lair-world of the arch-SUE Sapphirius. She and her SUE consort, El, have been noted as attending Tokyo College, but no trace of them has been found in the facility.

What you DID find, was a gemmed manga that transported Spike, Tosh, and most of the Sandmen to what you believe is a world connected to the Kingdom Hearts canon.

Cheryl has managed to make telepathic contact with them, and the manga was recovered and put in the containment bay for research.

    What is your next move?

Have Egon, the Gurus, and the Aurors carefully examine the book, and try to determine how to open it so that we can pull our people back out.

Have Darius, Star-Lord, a squad of KI and Droids on standby in case the S.U.E.'s come through while we have the book.

    Also, confirmation from A.N.O.N.:
When we first scanned the world for reality distortions, how many distortions were detected? 1 or 3?

Same time for the scientists, have them give us an update at 2 hours.

Because terminating the S.U.E.'s has to be undertaken in a manner which minimizes risk to our crew as well as the risk of Meta-contamination.

Right now, since we have the book inside of the Storm's containment bay and within the area-of-effect of its capital ship-grade reality emitter, we're in a prime position to kill them as they emerge. There's no need to go into the book, when we're fairly certain that they're going to be coming back out, and we can set a trap for them.

It's a real shame we don't have Atrus or a D'ni to deal with these book-portals. Although I suppose the traps would then be a series of convoluted puzzles that would require backtracking all over "Toyko" university to get the slightest hint of a clue.

Anyhow, we may want to read the diary now that it's no longer trapped. Yes/no?

Mostly because HQ can decide better than us what they'd like to do with the book. If the book's ultimate fate is to be blown up, no harm done by having HQ do it. If the book's ultimate fate is to be used somehow, HQ can do that better than us.

    Here's the plan:
    Read the Diary.
Get the Sandmen and Douglas back to our ship.

The only other thing we could possibly gain from the surface is gossip with other students that are Sapphy and El's friends, but judging by her deviantart profile, she's not likely to have many of them, if any at all.

That means we should be safe to pull everything back to orbit and prepare for a space battle.

For now, just analyse the magic transport book, see if there's a way to get the Co-ordinates of its target canon, a way to open the book as a 2-way portal, or similar.

While this happens, ensure that where-ever the book is held, that entire section of the Oncoming Storm can be jettisoned at a moments' notice, and all crewmen in the area beamed aboard the Indefatigable within a few seconds.

Position any reality emitting ships in a sphere around the containment bay.

If the S.U.E.s come through, we'll want to separate the containment bay from the rest of the storm, turn up reality emitters to "0v3rcl0ck", and fire every weapon we have at them as soon as the Storm's not in the blast range.

Skipping over page after page of speculation on if El likes her or LIKE likes her, more pages of complaining how hard life is, and finally even more pages of speculations on how the radical gay agenda is preventing the public from seeing the truth of Jesus, Douglas manages to locate a few tidbits of information that are actually useful.

It seems Sapph recently learned she is the dragon-descendant of the ancient dragon-goddess Sapphirius, and has inherited all of her ancestor's ancient powers and her Ultimate Sword. She must transform into one of her 'dragon forms' to use them, except for the sword which she can always summon and use. Her crush/boyfriend El, has been granted powers as her guardian.

Some entries go by with Sapph more or less abusing her powers in the guise of 'justice', before finding a magical book in the pile of inherited loot she'd received. This book allows her to travel to ancient lands once watched over by Sapphirius, and she has gone there to take up the role of guardian. The last few entries details her experiences through the book-portal, herself concluding that while it was wonderful to meet such legendary figures as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the rest, it was clear that they needed her guidance and wisdom. The Magic Kingdom needed a goddess to lead it. And she would be it.

Those of you answering "Anthrax", give yourself a medal. E. Coli, Tuberculosis, Salmonella, Staph, and Rabbit fever are also valid targets.

Priority A: Find a way to get people back from the book, either by dragging them out through the book or getting that Canon's co-ordinates.
Priority B: Murder them in their sleep with poisons and diseases, stealing their overpowered shit and destroying it if we can (to prevent them from waking up and using it)

Over time, I've come to see Rainbows and Light as twice the force of steamrollery destruction that Entropy and Darkness are.
Entropy and Darkness *know* themselves as destroyers, and so they can be *known*. Thus while you may not have the strength to stand up to them, you *know* how they may be halted.
Light and Rainbows do not *know* themselves, and rush blindly across the cosmos, burning everything behind them. Their form cannot be *known* because of so many different interpretations, all of which think that their paths of blind burning destruction are good and constructive. While you can destroy that which you do not *know*, it's a lot harder to do.

    >Sapphirus was a Goddess who conquer lots of things with her divine abilities. She did what no one else could. Create a planet, destroy one, neutralize it. He form was unimaginably large, no planet in the whole universe could fit her long draconic form. She dominated both Dragons & Elements for a side job, making her quite special. She walks around the worlds as a human-feligon creature, standing out from the other crowds and creatures which lived in it. She carried 3 pairs of wings, the mains being Angelic with glowing multi-colored orbs glowing on each wing tip, they were rainbow colored at the 2n‘d wing part, her last 2 pairs of wings were draconic, having a rainbow skin color inside the skin in the wing structure.

    >2 long deadly Axe tails followed her close behind. 2 huge swirled dragon horns came adorably from hr head, bringing protection in fights like a dragon. Her eyes glowed a emerald green< making you sense deviousness in her. Fennec feline ears sprouted from her crimson spiky hair which were the same look as Axel’s only more feminine. Her ears carried the same rainbow orb jewelry as her wings, tail and horns.

    >She wore a Kimono looking outfit, having a rainbow appearance to it, 2 metallic cord strings to tighten the coat, having sharp tips at their ends. Long sleeves came down to her arms, being a rainbow colored. Bottom was and Icy design, being a winter white mixed with an icy blue, pure diamonds engraved in the fabris material.

    >Specially capable of wielding her two mega-strong blades, one known as the Chakram blade having the power of burning fire, and her most specialized powerful blade known the Sapphiasus, which contained the same powers as her own, which made it unbreakable. Sapphirus rarely fought because she didn’t want to reveal what her abilities were to the weaker creatures, but if it was to save a loved on or a ally, she’s have to do it. She wasn’t a violent person, she always fought for good rather than evil.

Okay, the poison idea is really clever and all. But even with every reality emitter we possess trained on this monster, there's a good chance poison won't kill it.

I guess if we reality emittered her, poisoned her with every poison, then lured her into a space battle while she was weakened, we might have a chance.

No, they don't. For both questions.

It may be easier to outsmart her. The question here is how do we apply our smarts to figuratively knifing her in the dark, or making her vulnerable to said figurative knifing?

The scientists, sages, and technowizards have completed their assessment of the book. It appears to be a straightforward portal book that acts as a safe gateway between this world and the Magical Kingdom. The trigger mechanism is to open the book and concentrate or already possess a desire to find something. It is uncertain if you can get the coordinates of the world from outside the book.

The reality distortion of the book appears linked to the SUE Sapphy. Melchoir and Egon theorize it may be possible to track her using this link. It also probably means that killing her will collapse the book's magic.

These sneakiness ideas may be our best bet to eliminating the SUE, or at least weakening her to manageable levels. We're effectively dealing with a girly version of a DBZ SUE, and even the DBZ cast weren't immune to viruses or such. It goes without saying that head-on attacks right away would be a quick way to seeing who the next set of TG quest protagonists are.

I know that it doesn't say that she's weak vs. viruses or sicknesses of any sort. But she's a SUE imagined by a teenager, and may not be subject to such planning. Although if we know anyone who can kill a deity with retard strength, we should probably ask their advice.

We don't defeat them. We make them defeat *themselves*. She claims to be a Goddess of purity and Justice and shit, then let's hit the SUE with a fucking Paradox.

"You claim to be for Peace and Justice and Good, yet you use your powers only for petty evil by taking away all free will. By forcing yourself upon them as you are, you are in fact removing their reason to grow and live and exist. That is what the villain does. If you are truly as good as you claim to be, you cannot trust yourself with your unearned powers. Freedom is the right of all sentient beings, and your very existence violates this simple and noble truth."

But retrieving our guys from the world that the book links to beforehand, or otherwise finding out where their coordinates are and determining whether it would be feasible to pick them up the old fashioned way.

Do we have a description or a location of the second teleport book, based on the diary we recovered?
If not, can the Gurus and Egon find a way to analyse the book we DO have, to be able to track similar magics?

We need a Book radar or Book location description, and I'm confident that Tosh can get the book on his own, just as long as we tell him where stuff is.
I have no idea how we're meant to micromanage or control or direct the forces in the magic kingdom unless we send a command crew person over, and that's all kinds of full retard, so I guess we just give them a general direction and hope for the best.

For the sake of brainstorming, here's another idea to toss out there:

Is it possible to create a portal to a temporary pocket dimension (or a very short-lived pocket dimension) by reverse-engineering the book portal? If so, we could try to lure one or more SUEs through the book to the rapidly decaying plane and destroy the entrance. This would either destroy the quickly-decaying plane or leave them to their fate in a universe that's going to end very quickly.

Or I dunno, ship them off to Sigil. Let the Lady deal with them.

Weak one is likely the book.
    Here's the plan:
Tosh, Spike and the Sandmen find the book's location, and exfiltrate via the book.

I don't want to try murdering the SUE in the Kingdom Hearts world, as she has support from the locals, we don't have ships, and she doesn't need to hide her power there.

So we simply WAIT until she comes back to this world. We go with the "Sneak into her house and poison+nanite her bed/breakfast" plan, and hit her from range with any "Destroys a house" level attacks we have, typically anti-materiel sniper rounds, C4 charges, and orbital lasers.
If she survives THAT, we teleport everyone back up into orbit, crank the reality emitters up to 0v3rcl0ck, and hit her with everything.

    Good plan y/n?

Simply return the book to where it was. Place a number of Reality Emitters from non-deployed teams around the reading room.
A floor above, the Delta Greens set up with their sniper rifles equipped with exographic scanners and microtransporters.
As soon as the targets emerge from the book, we remotely activate the reality emitters and put several bullets into each of their heads.

Well basically we are dealing with a SUE that can at any point weigh enough to start supporting an orbit for satellite objects, a sword that will not cut, but will probably break bones and destroy organs, and possesses powers that even other SUEs would call 'over powered'.

Don't bother with surprise. If she is a 'goddess' then she will inevitably know of any attack before it happens. However given her pride, she will probably walk into it anyway, convinced of her own power that she will win.

Therefore, we need to set the stage with enough firepower to kill off both. Not orbital bombing, I mean energy weapons or mass rifles, in case the reality emitters do not get rid of the 'steel endoskeleton'.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)14:30 No.17658321
    >>17658273
Surprise is one of the best weapons in the TG arsenal.
The second is planning and preparation.

We know that she is most likely going to use the book to return to the baseline world.
We can jettison the book into space, keep it targeted with multiple overlapping reality fields, and use Delta Green snipers with their micro-transporter-equipped sniper rifles to put bullets into the heads of the targets when they emerge and are depowered by the reality emitters.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)14:31 No.17658325
    >>17658273
We could wait for them to leave the book, but given the tight quarters, we could risk a hull breach during the fighting. And knowing her, she won't have a problem fighting in a vacum while we...
Another liability is the book itself. She may try to use it to shield herself, or may try to hold it hostage, having no concept of caring for other but her own self gratification. And in the locals' current state, they would gladly die for her. Something that is unacceptable. Remember, we may be given a wider berth as to what we can do as the Guard, but that doesn't mean there won't be a political shitstorm when the fighting is over.

Likewise fighting within the book also carries its risks. We'll be fighting in enemy territory with a limited supply line to our front line.

If anything, first we need to move the battle to a place with favorable conditions. Possibly on Earth somewhere where there will be little collateral damage.

If we really want to have the fight occur on Earth, we can have it take place in the middle of the Rubi-ka desert. There's really nothing around for a good hundred miles, and we can have the Al'Kesh transports provide support with their capital ship-grade reality emitters.

But if something goes wrong, we won't be able to provide fire support from our ships.

Doing the fight in space let's us concentrate all of our firepower.

The reality field from a capital ship reality emitter extends quite a distance away from a ship.

The book doesn't matter once we get the S.U.E.'s over here so we can kill them.
The book is powered by the S.U.E., so the book will essentially be destroyed, no longer functioning as a portal, once we kill the S.U.E.
The prediction from the Farseers only covers what would happen if we destroyed the portal-book while the S.U.E.'s are in the Kingdom Hearts world. Once they are here, it doesn't matter what happens to the book.

    2. Dealing with the SUE
    A. We put the book in deep space, surround it with our ships, use overlapping reality fields, and have Delta Green snipers with their micro-transport rifles headshot the SUE as soon as it appears.
    B. if it doesn't leave the Magic Kingdom we check the diary for what anime or manga they like and find a way to float rumors of a new season or collectors edition coming out, to bait them to come through the book.

We can change the battlefield to the middle of a desert if people don't want a space fight.

I'm not convinced sending the crew straight into a run on the book is a good idea. if it goes wrong, they'll be aware that there are hostiles on the other side. They could thus come through prepared, or simply fortify their side.

Better to get the lay of the land before acting.

We know where the book is, and our first attempt was already repulsed.
The team needs to get through the book before the SUE's come through and we kill them, because the books are powered by the SUE's, and when they die the books will no longer work.
Our current estimate has the SUE's likely returning in about a day and a half, to 2 days.

Since OP isn't coming back for a bit, I was thinking we should also go over future requisitions.

For one, the Sandmen we have are finite right? If so perhaps, we could fill in the gap they leave with Syndicate agents? About the same, with less personality and more loyalty.

    I know a bit.

The SUE in question calls herself a goddess, and yet associates with a group of imperfect half human homunculi because they are all pretty boy. These pretty boys are part of an Illuminati-esque group capable of teleporting wherever they want and summoning armies of grunts. Something we cannot afford to face head on.

How can they get trapped? Unless the book portal's power is tied to the other SUEs (get the researchers to investigate this), then we can kill the primary targets with ease. the only problem would be destroying the tome in KH after our personnel leave.

right, presumably we're using those 2 days to prepare our ambush?

What if our people get discovered? Even if they get through safely, the SUEs will know someting is up. FSM forbid that one of them is captured. We'll face one of two problems

1)SUE comes through, spoiling for a fight. Considering her raw power, this is...problematic. It gets worse if she brings friends, or worse PREPARES.
    2) Decides to stay in KH, either fortifying her position, or worse sealing off the canon by shutting off the book portal, in which case we're hosed.

I'm not saying don't pull them out, but don't rush it.

OP, can we have Spike and the Sandmen do some more reconnaissance? Subtly, mind, they're still under suspicion. Maybe asking around in taverns and the like. See if there's any upcoming festivals or suchlike.

Can we also check with them were they came out? I'm guessing not in the castle. If we can figure out where they came in, we could resupply them. Of course,it raise the question of why the two books aren't directly linked, and if that's the case, we need to reassess our kill strategy.

Well, we have two options, find coordinates or hope our very-away team can sneak to the book.

If we can't then we need the book where we can dump the SUEs if they come through and still have it somewhere safe to get the team back through the book before we finish killing the SUE. Presumably the containment area can facilitate this. Strap down the book, and eject them into space when they appear, then repressurize and tell the far-away team to gun for the book fast.

If we manage to get them out before the SUEs, then we stick the book in a cargo container surrounded by the fleet.

If I may speculate on the abilities of the SUE for a moment, if we are forced to take a frontal assault method for dealing with the SUE:

    >Abilities: Can control any element, mix it, can control all dragons in a blink. Almost Known to be Invincible.

Can control any element. Assuming that the SUE isn't smart enough to know what periodic elements are, we can probably expect ice (or water)/fire/lightning/earth control. She's probably immune to these things as well, or can otherwise deflect attacks from those sources. Might still be affected from light/dark/psi/what have you.

"Almost Known to be invincible" could be a potential break, if whatever powers the creation of a SUE is a stickler for semantics. But it's probably safer to assume that she will probably be impervious to most weaponry unless she's in her mundane form.

    >Weakness: N/A Herself

This may present a possible avenue of weakness through that one mirror of true sight we got from Horror-world. She may suffer a nervous breakdown or start to doubt herself, decreasing her powers in the process. It may also make her dangerously unstable.

Alternatively, we may be able to bypass her immunities/near-invulnerability if we were able to focus our applicable spells on the reflection of her in the mirror of true sight, rather than on the SUE herself. If we get sciencey enough, we might be able to bend light in such a way so that we can get a reflection in the mirror without having to go toe-to-toe with her.

Our plan for dealing with the SUEs:
    1. Get Tosh and Spike out of Kingdom Hearts
1a. Possibly find a way to get Kingdom Hearts' co-ordinates
    2. Prepare a massive alpha strike as the S.U.E.s come out of the book - a ring of reality emitters around a book in space, and every weapon we have pointed there.
2a. Have a backup plan to retreat if the alpha strike fails.
2b. Even if her keyblade is total bullshit, try "Accio keyblade" by an Auror in the Indefatigable's teleporter to obtain it, followed by teleporting the bullshit keyblade to the inside of a black hole.
2c. If no black holes are present, having the Sandmen shoot the keyblade with black hole rifles should suffice.
    3. Set Poison/Nanites/Diseases around the S.U.E.'s home, along with a reality emitter to help them work. Even if we must retreat from the S.U.E.s, diseases and poisons might take them down.

Ok, so here is our plan tiering:

    1) Hope the away team can sneak to the book before the SUEs leave.
    2) Hope they can get to the book after the SUEs leave, but before we kill them.
    3) Find them a couple weeks later.

That's the hand we've been dealt. We'll just have to deal with it.

    Combat plans amount to:
    1) Move deeper into space where the fighting won't disturb the Earth.
    2) If the team is out, place the book in a cargo container in space. If the team is not out, we have the book secured in containment, ready to flush the SUEs into space, and repressurize in case the team can make it before the fighting is finished.
    3) Emitters on full and HRD rifles mounted to space firing platforms. I'd suggest mixing them in with the turbo-laser batteries so the Reality effect might help the volleys have more effect.
    4) Fight. Win.

So if the stranded away team doesn't manage to get their hands on the book, they could be stuck in the KH canon for some time.

I think it would be a good idea for them to take another shot at getting the journal. What do you guys think?

Also, there's something I'm not clear on with the SUE. Does she and her cohort merely assume a non-powered form to blend in when they're in the real world? Or do they revert to a mundane human once they get to the real world no matter what?

    OP!

In that case, what's the status on the Lance of Longinus research?

Yeah, I think that would be cheating somehow.
Who'd make good starting heroes? Considering we had Gaunt and Spike as our starting pair.

I briefly thought you meant you were coming back in a month, maybe a year. That was a not good moment.

I think the bootleg OP's TG quest needs a category for starting mechs :D

Don't worry, Anthrax, Salmonella, E. Coli et. al. already have treatments available. The most lethal bacteria have the problem that they kill their host before they can spread.

umm...we're in the new thread now, FYI.

well, the only issue I can see would be any named personnel we recruit in bootleg wouldn't be available in the main quest.

Unless we can do personnel transfers.

Personnel transfers would be amazing to have.
