    FRRRRRRRIDAY NIGHT MO-

    Wait! NO! It's TG QUEST!!!

    Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/17533136/

When last we left our intrepid crew, they will still bumming around the base. However, while they allowed their minions to run wild, blow off steam and generally mentally recover from the horrors they had endured, the crew themselves talked with base staff, got yelled at by a Colonel, and made plans. But the time for preparation is past, and the time for action is once again upon them...

So, while we all seemed to agree on the blue and grey worlds, which one do we hit first?
    The movies, or possibly fantasy?

God damn, good to have this back!

So...we agreed to hit a low-intensity blue world, didn't we? And after tht, another low-level.

And the next lynchpin would be the one Yellowman scouted for us.

I'd go with the worlds closer to the Bottom Left. We want to hit that bottom left lynchpin before the Brown Circle shows up to wreck our shit, but we'll need Lances of Longinus, Personal shields, enough Reality Mk. IIs to protect everyone from the warp, and whatever upgrades we can strap onto our mechs produced first.

The 'lower intensity' worlds we're looking at are the blue and grey here.
We're looking at the nearby linchpin as well, since it is fairly close to the unknown traveling distortion.

I'm fine with either grey or blue worlds.
    As far as we know:
Red worlds might be related to video games.
Green worlds are either high-intensity, Fanfic-based, or Sci-fi based.
Grey worlds are either low-intensity, Book-based, or Fantasy-based.
    Black blobs are Warhammer 40k.
The Red blob is likely to be Super Robot Wars.

What color were the following worlds, if anyone remembers:
    C&C
    Shadowrun
    Fallout
    Dark Matter
    That horrible clusterfuck
    Rivendell

I know Ebon night's world was red.

Part of me wants to say movies, just to see wha we get.

Of course, grey may be books, rater then fantasy, which means we have to reassess what Red means. It could be video games-after all, the quarentine zone which peopel believe is SRW, is red, and Ebon Night was originally Silent Hill.

Which raises the question-what happens to worlds that have appeared in more than one medium? For instance, is there a Megaman games universe, a manga universe, a universe for the different comics adaptions? (I really hope we don't wind up in Brazilian!Megaman world-that shit's godawful).

What shields? Just generic energy shields?

No, vehicle and pilot crews do not have personal emitters.

You have enough Tornado Packs to equip all your VFs.

You have sold all your nukes save the Big One and the NOD ICBM.

My initial thought is that the Creation Engine can construct synthetic gems, but they will be far inferior to the real thing. However, it seems that TWs cannot use synths at all? Is that right?

I was told that Agrias can go into Geomancer and White Mage straight from Holy Knight. If that's not true, then select one of the classes she can go to and fill that up instead.

What were know of the map key is as follows:

    Blue dot: Movie Canons
Grey dot: Example so far, Lord of the Rings. Suspect Fantasy or Book related.
Green: Example so far, Terribad Fan-Fiction world gone worse. Suspect Modern or Fan-Fic related.
Red: Example so far, Ebon Night infects Silent Hill. Suspect Horror theme.
(Alternate color theory is 'intensity', though blue was confirmed for movie canon)
    Blue Circles: Identified as linchpins.
Red Circle: Chaos vs Void Engineer meta-warzone. Possible STOBs.
    Red Blob: Quarantine Zone
    Green circle: Chaos ships encountered.
    Black circle: Void Engineers
Brown circle: Reality Distortion from the [Unknown Object] flying into our sector from beyond.
North-most linchpin has been surveyed by Yellowman and crew, report from Yellowman available in thread 51.

Because we were too busy looting power armor.

I bet that's what /tg/ Requisitions is. It's just a giant catalogue of worlds sent to them by /tg/ Scouts, then they go in and loot everything. Any heroes and troops in worlds not part of a stable canon, or even heroes from a stable canon that reach the end of their story, get themselves recruited.

    For instance:
    >Everyone get in here! Sonic fanfiction with over 1,000 fan characters
Result: /tg/ requisitions now has 100 extra units of Goes Fast, after ignoring 300 units of angst, 100 units of "No thx I don't wanna be recruited", and blowing up 500 units of S.U.E.

Star Trek Federation starship shields, since we have replicators and they'd be easier to replicate.

    >My initial thought is that the Creation Engine can construct synthetic gems, but they will be far inferior to the real thing. However, it seems that TWs cannot use synths at all? Is that right?
According to the rulebooks, they specifically say synthetic diamonds and synthetic zircon can't be used.
The writers may have only known about those synthetic processes, since rubies and sapphires can also be synthetically grown.
But as one of the posters pointed out, it's still completely up to you, MetaOP, whether synthetics can be used at all or not.

It's generally bad form for a quest to have TWO threads on the go at once. Planning thread should really be for between quest threads.

And besides, Falloutverse base is already working on Prime. They gave us securitrons for free, they'll do the same for Prime. Prime and /tg/bein aren't mutually exclusive.

We argued a lot about what engineering projects we wanted.
Shields, Weapons, and Incursion tech were commonly requested. Add them as engineering projects.
Shields for the spellcasters and anyone squishy, Upgraded Weapons for our heroes (this includes any magic enchantments), Incursion tech for some of the Von Luckners, an Al'Kesh, the Drones (especially VP-99 and VP-98), and some Securitrons.

Eventually we want to manufacture Power armor, Shields, and a strong ranged weapon, as standard equipment for all troops. I don't know what strong ranged weapon that would be - but Dark Matter's black hole rifles, or Alpha Centauri's singulo lasers are good bets.

    Ok, shields.
    Options:
Federation Style (some development may be needed for Personal shields- unless we have schematics for the ones from STO were they finally mass deployed them.)
TW Wizard (works against pretty much anything, limited activation time, barring S2 or pile of suitable gems)
Schlock (We've got Gavs, they are familiar with it, though they are a bit of a power hog though are quite good)
I'd lean toward Federation type initially, compact and power efficient.
Work our way up from there.

man i do love zatt but i gotta say phasers are pretty utilitarian only arguments i can see are
1)some variablility in our forces equipment
    2)fully semiautomatic
    3) capable of chain lightning effect
4)pulse can pass through metallic substances example shooting a metal catwalk with 20-30 men on it one shot will stun/kill/disintagrate them
5)it is great at overloading tech instead of melting/blowing it up which is more of a phaser problem
6)zatts don't run out of ammo but ammo isn't really a concern for phasers either
Though the Zatt is miles better then the Particle Magnum(other than being dead sexy) it's comparable to the phaser in alot of departments but i'd see why people would just choose to keep a phaser instead

I think KH had some of those types of things, referred to as "keyholes" or something. They may either maintain a pocket dimension for their own homes or they regularly travel around other worlds. The reality distortions may be a gateway or portal or some other construct that they've created.

They're just as OP as their weapons are.
In fact, their powers are so ridiculously BS that all you'd need to do is hit them with a reality emitter and they would crumple.
Have every single ship in our fleet try to find a way to focus their reality emissions on a human-sized target. We did it with the Inde, maybe we can do it with the Storm and the All Under Heaven.

We're on a bit of a timer: the longer they stay in there, the more likely that the S.U.E.'s will notice them.

Right, get the book up to the surface.
Data, any knowledge on any Residences or Houses or Places of Living of these S.U.E.s? In fact, an ABSENCE of such information will tell us where they live - in the book.
    Beam that book up.
Gurus, Tech-wizards, Aurors, etc. take a look at that book and see if you can figure out how to get people In or Out of it. Note that its' a HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE, so if you have no clue what the hell you're doing (e.g. Clumsy Auror), let the SCPs handle it.

Keep trying to retrieve our men, but if our attempts fail
As unpleasant as it may be, we may need to use the SUES to get our troops out of that book if we cant ourselves.
Perhaps playing on their egos, asking them for help from them, treating them as some kind of 'heroes' to gain their trust and cooperation
