Are we back for good?
!EGl50Sr6go 01/15/12(Sun)21:23 No.17555618"Dies Irae", the fimilar looking words carved into the stone walkway you had dismissed as a fragmented sentance. It seems this city was built some time after whatever magical event ripped the world apart, and was build underground as a reminder of what befell the capitol. You supposed that the language written on the walls was lost in the passing of time, otherwise the kingdom wouldn't have fallen into myth and childrens tales. Engraved in every surface of this "City of Lights" was the history of your nation and her allies.
You had not had much time to linger in the church, as you realized the cultists that fleed would rouse the guards. Donning your "disguise" once again, you make your way out of the church and down into the city. Through bits and pieces you read along the way, you found that the entire continant was torn asunder and sank, the three mighty races scattered and broken, however the majority fled across the now drastically expanded ocean to the unexplored eastern shores, where they built this city as a last bastion against the fiendish archmage, awaiting to fight him to the bitter end. But he never came.
Reaching the bottom of the long stairway, you look around at the last known home of your people. This place is almost busy as the surface side, but none the less the people go about their work. If these people were desendents of your people, why were they so....small? Probably some magical change brought about by the calamity, or interbreading with the dwarves. Then you wondered if the Cinderfolk were what became of the Elves, after all, they were more deeply affected by the workings of the world than the other two races.
>Shall you explore the City of Lights, return to the surface to check on Drei, or something else (specify)? |
