    32 KB Binding a Daemonhost Inquisitor Kadsirin !!0zRgmmI/1kJ 10/20/11(Thu)17:49 No.16687872
    Good afternoon, /tg/.

This is acolyte Bob. Acolyte Bob has fallen into disfavor with his Inquisitor (namely, me). You see, on his last outing for the Inquisition, Acolyte Bob fucked up pretty hard. After willingly ingesting psychotropic drugs in a Slaaneshi cultist's flophouse while undercover, Acolyte Bob completely surrendered his soul to the Prince of Excess without even knowing it.

How, you ask? He fucked a goat. Two times. In both holes. Then he killed it and ate it and adorned his junk with its lifeblood. The order in which these events occurred is unclear to me, but the heresy inherent in them is unmistakeable. Acolyte Bob is a thrice-damned fool, and no longer useful to me as he is.

So, here's the plan. Let's use the condemned acolyte to summon a daemon and bind it to our service! Will it be a horrifying, agonizing end for this once faithful acolyte? Oh, yes it will!

Roll 1d100 to get this shit started!

You know, using someone who has already pledged his soul to Slaanesh as the ritual sacrifice/bodily vessel for a daemonhost might not be the best idea. That daemon is totally not going to be bound, and will probably rape you to death with Bob's possessed body.

    Just saying...

Oh sweet God-Emperor, what have we done...

Well, Bob... Or whatever Bob is becoming... Is contained. For now. But I must admit, despite our precautions, the binding didn't go very well... In fact, it went so poorly that you might say ol' Bobby is completely unbound.

Bob's flesh is everchanging, limbs and horrible screaming faces pushing to the surface before being reabsorbed.

Two horns burst from the skin on his forehead, curling menacingly like those of a ram.

Long, avian quills begin to erupt from Bob's nightmare form, covering him in a sleek black coat of oily feathers.

Whatever was left of Bob has now mercifully perished, the daemon leaving no room for him in his own body. The corpse, sensing the absence of its erstwhile master, has begun to molt and rot horribly. The daemon appears indifferent to and unaffected by this.

Perhaps even more horrifying, despite all the rending changes wrought upon Bob, his face has simply been... Removed. Where mouth, nose, eyes and ears once were, his skull is now clothed in a smooth layer of unbroken flesh.

    >I have discarded the roll of 97 as it results in a daemonhost completely free of imperfections. This would apply retroactively, rendering all previous rolls insignificant. And that my friends, just ain't no fun. I will now roll the final change.

As you observe Bob's transformation in horror, things begin to... Happen. Things which bend and threaten to break your sanity. First, the blood that now coats the floor begins to drip upward and pool on the ceiling, as if gravity itself abhorred this place. Liquefied metal and rust begin to ooze from the walls before mixing with the blood pools on the ceiling. Spiderwebs of frost begin to spread outwards from where Bob is standing--nay, floating now. Your breath clouds in front of you, and you shiver despite your training. Finally, at the eges of your perception, you see--no, you hear something moving. Whenever you try to focus on it, it stops, as if listening back.

As you watch in horror, the thing that was once Bob approaches your beloved Inquisitor. Not to be intimidated, he turns a steady gaze on his erstwhile servant.

    What an awful mistake.

The thing laughs as it boils the Inquisitor's eyes in their sockets, lifting him from the ground and suspending him in midair by sheer force of will. Unable to scream, the Inquisitor merely chokes and gurgles on the surge of blood now pouring from his mouth. Now barely an inch from his face, you are given the impression that, despite its featureless visage, the daemon is smiling.

Then it speaks; not with a traditional voice, for it has no mouth. No, the daemon instead violates the sacred boundaries of your mind, raping your defenses and seizing control of your own inner voice, its words echoing violently in your head.

"Hello, little thing. Such a precious little thing. I am Geshtinanna."

Then, as you look on helplessly, the thing taps its talon on the Inquisitor's nose, almost playfully. The effects, however, are far from it. Beginning at the point of contact, the Inquisitor's flesh violently peels off from his body, exposing the blood, muscles and bones below. His mouth open in a noiseless scream.

    Then, you black out.

    >Thanks for creating a daemon with me, /tg/! Was good times! Hope you had as much fun as I did.

Inquisitorial records from the archives of [REDACTED]

The subject is a captain of the commercial freighter [REDACTED]

[REDACTED] - So how did you come to pass to...even survive the incident of [REDACTED]?

Augustii - I...was just on a regular...Emperor be praised...cargo shipping mission between the inner planets, when I just saw it.

    [REDACTED] - "It"?

Augustii - Aye...It. It was like it was in my head, my helmsmen also claimed to have seen it, that was...when things started to go bad. Not long after, we picked up vox from the planet below, disturbing vox, least to say. Emperor...

[REDACTED] - Yes...we know of this phenomenan...but do please continue.

Augustii - I ordered the helmsmen to lay in a course away from the planet. By a fluke, I guess. We managed to slip by the Imperial Naval ships that lay in orbit. I wish we didn't slip by at all. It would have been better.

[REDECTED] - Yes...so I could gather from the reports, but do please go on.

Augustii - *sobbing sounds are heard* By the Throne. It didn't take long before, I guess one of the mentally weaker bondsmen broke. We never knew it before we entered the Warp. By the Emperor...we should never have done it. The heretic started to claim that all is lost and the Emperor was doomed, now that the lost daemon lord returned. I quickly killed him, but it was too late. He had already sabotaged the Geller field generator. They...were everywhere. I gathered what men I still had, and managed to hold of the gibbering monstrosities, all muttering "Geshtinanna"...to allow the surviving enginseer to repair the generator. When we dropped out...we were right back at [REDACTED] and picked up by the Imperial Navy.

[REDACTED] - Thank you. Don't worry, I think I will find you clean of taint.

Augustii - I am? Thank you lord!

    *A door opening is heard*

Augustii - What?! But you said...

[REDACTED] - Yes, that is why you will get a quick death.

    *Gunshot is heard*

On a fluff note, this thing would be a fairly "minor" daemon prince. Nasty as daemonhosts go, but at most something on the level of the "Horned Darkness" from Dark Heresy. After all, if it was truly ZOMGPOWAHFOOL, it couldn't be summoned at all without having one of its own servant daemons be called in its stead.

Daemons are weaker into the materium right?
Well if, and I stress IF, this is infact, a supreme chaos god.
Wouldn't we be helping it by sending it back?

That being said, if it was infact lost, then something must've beaten the shit out of it (my vote is the Emprah), so it's possible its in a weakened state.
So we should try to find a way to contain it and prevent its recovery, without sending it to the warp which would guarantee that.

"What are you!" cried the Guardsman before being wiped from existence. A small cloud of crimson was all that remained of him. At that same moment another guardsman's eyes boiled. Then one clawed at his own throat and the one next to him simply shot himself in the head. The whole squad either was wiped clean from existence or had killed themselves out of madness except one, one very unlucky man. This man was smart though. He had his eyes shut, tighter than he had ever kept them. The daemon-host slowly moved towards him until it was looming over the man, looming over him like the impending doom that was surely to come. She, or he, no it was more appropriate, was allowing him to live. Geshtinanna whispered to him, breaking into his mind like a battering ram, "Open your eyes pretty little thing." The guardsman shook his head. He could not even comprehend doing that. He knew he would be reduced to nothing the moment he opened his eyes. He spoke back in his mind, either out of defiance or in the vain hope of receiving mercy, "Tell me, what, what are you called."

The daemon played with the though for a moment, then replied, "Uttering my real name would kill you in your current shape. Little thing. Now answer my question, what is your name." The guardsman didn't know what to say. This was a sick game he knew it. But he answered the daemon for he feared what it might do if he didn't reply quickly, "Tammuz, Tammuz Israel."

"I hate that word, Israel." The guardsman curled up, crying now. "Why do you lament Tammuz?" The guardsman replied, "Because your going to kill me right? That's what you did to my friends." If the daemon possessed lips it would smile, "I have much, much greater plans for you, pretty, little, thing."
    >Should I drop this and do another different story about the daemon or continue.

Hmm... PR 8, WP 90. We still need to stat up his physical form in Daemon Hunter and give him psychic powers, right?

    Let's see.

I would suggest he take the following:
    - Exsanguine (Radical's Handbook): a faster-casting bloodboil. Almost guarantees a single PC kill on a decent roll.
    - Bloodboil line of powers (DH:Ascension)
    - Telekinetic Shield (Rogue Trader) and Telekinetic Dome (Deathwatch Core): sustaining both will give him 24 armor versus ranged attacks and 8 armor vs. everything.
    - Force Barrage (DH errata 3.something): for those pesky munchkin acolytes
    - Warp Blast/Warp Lance (DW Xenos): for your horde and vehicle problems (if a GM cares, transgenic grafting (Radical's) takes care of any problems with obtaining a tyranid power)
    - Fury of Wolf Spirits (DW core): iunno how you're going to get a Wolfy Wolfy Wolf power, but if you do, holy shit action economy denial, Batman. Even if you don't hit, reducing a character's dodge/parry actions is always fun, and if you hit? what's that 8d10 damage or 8d5 damage with 24 penetration? And causes Shock? And acts as a free action?

Geshtinanna, the God of Chaos Undivided, this is a god whose very existence is thrown into question. Some say its a being who cares not for the mortal realm, but to whom the power of all worship of chaos flows.

Others say that no such God to exist, and it is "faggotry", a position held strongly by the Inquisition.

The fortunate are snuffed out by Geshtinanna the Faceless, Chronicler of Damnation. They die in an instant, their souls devoured. Those less so die slowly and with much pain. The most ill-fated of all?

The daemon keeps them alive. It keeps them with it for a time in its foul clutches, shielding them from the worst effects of its touch even as it whispers secrets long lost to man into their minds.

The husks these unfortunates become by the time it tires of them and discards them are rarely recognizable as being human. Their souls? Even less so. Death would be a mercy to these, truly the lost and the damned.

Their shattered minds, their ruined souls have become the papyrus and ink for tomes in this creature's infernal library, hidden in an impossible spire, at the center in a city of madness.

Some said the city had a name once, but it is lost to the ages. Fewer still whisper that it once existed on Terra itself, and that men whispered its name with dark allegories of the Faceless Prince, who was then young. Some say it was a mere herald of Ruin then, and rode upon a beast of many heads. They may even have the truth of it, at least in part.

It'd have average of at least 70 to 80 in all stats, unnatural willpower (x3), and (in some rolls) access to every spell/power in the game. Which means Warp-time/Gate/Divination/Bloodboil+ForceBarrage combos and ignoring perils of the warp and other ridiculousness

It's straight into a territory of unimaginably full retardation that it sucks in INT around it into the vacuum from whence nothing is ever given back.

Wayyyy underpowered, really. 30 Wounds isn't nearly enough, even if she possibly has 24+ armor from powers (likely telekinetic shield (RT) and telekinetic dome (DW)). Ascension characters have much, much better chances than DW characters of gathering all the information they need before taking on an opponent with all those mastered skills and influence talents. For a BBEG I'd bump her wounds up to around 90, give her Daemonic, Unnatural Strength (x3), Unnatural Toughness (x2), and give her a PR of 10.

the real problem are vehicle rules. The Daemon Prince in DW is stunningly, ridiculously vulnerable to just about any vehicle in Rites of Battle or even the Fury Interceptor in Into the Storm. Having 12 armor and 12 toughness bonus simply doesn't cut it against 6d10+10, pen 10 weapons with ranges exceeding 300m (equipped on every thunderhawk gunship). Not to mention 1000+ damage dealing psykers.

Any Cadre worth their weight will have enough influence to pick one up, even temporarily. Remember, ramming always works.
