I think what is supposed to be meant by the words "Loyal" is that they will obey you, and think of you as a kind of commander.

The friends without the Loyal word are still friendly to you, they just don't look at you as a commander, and more think of you as an equal. As an example, if one of them wanted to do their own thing and you wanted to do something else they wouldn't have to do what you wanted to do. But they are still your "friends" so they wouldn't attack you or anything (like Murray... I would avoid him with a 100ft pole if he could potentially turn on me).

Bones and Kazoo. Means a bit of extra work on my part in defense and food-gathering, depending on how far Bone's pacifism will go. (Can he gather berries or other plant-based food? Can he capture birds/fish/whatever as long as I do the actual slaughtering?) Bones is a total bro, loyal as hell and you don't have to worry too much about his overall safety, at the very least he can do work around the camp and keep watch, and just because he's a pacifist doesn't mean he can't watch your back or try to scare away predators. Kazoo is a must for hugs, and I guess infinite pure water is a plus, and he acts as a 'get out of sticky situation free' once per day.

Mean's I'll be on the line for threats, but as long as bones is watching my back I think I'll be OK. Broing out with a skeleton and infinite hugs will help me keep my sanity.

First off, this is an island and we're here as a group. Despite us all being assholes online, I know gamers well enough to know that you guys probably aren't going to go around killing each other. From the original description, it seems that there is no actual threats on the island. So Hell Rider and Mr. Pepper and Womba Womba are eliminated because I don't have any enemies I need to kill.

Blinky, Bones, and Rolf are relatively useless, so they're out as well.

We're on an island with a bunch of gamers, and while I'm sure some of you have herpes most of you don't live in enough of a bad place to be carriers of any serious disease. Thus, Cantelo is out as well.

Despite being a lamia and thus sexy, I would rather not be near something that might kill me with its saliva just because I smell nice. So COily is gone too.

That leaves Mildred, Gilligan, Murray, Boleslava, and Kazoo. All of them to various degrees can provide vital supplies in the form of food and/or water. However, Mildred does this better than the rest of them. His only disadvantage is that he does not like me, which can be easily solved by having Boleslava remove that thought. Thus, the ideal ones to bring are Mildred for infinite wealth and Boleslava to keep Mildred content and tranquil.
