    Okay, we got some sleep.
In the morning, perhaps we should seek out Yuki ahead of time. She seems to have worked with Kaji in the past; maybe we should ask him if he would help the Seven Swords training with his tactical battlenet genjutsu.

Agreed but mostly I want to see if Yuki will support us as well or not. Don't want to walk into it expecting she will and then she doesn't in the end.

First stop is Yuki's apartment. She welcomes you in as she is climbing out of bed, her white hair askew as she changes into a more formal looking kimono and puts her hair into a hairband and speaks, "So, you are the new leader of the Seven Swordsmen? I'm pleased to see that Lady Mizukage is at least trying to restore some dignity to our village. You are a good man, from what I've seen. It takes a lot of character to not give in to a man you admire's desires." She says softly before extending her forearm blade and holding it up to her heart, "I swear to follow you. If you are our leader, then you are my leader and Captain. I promise you my loyalty."

"Our current state is non-existent. Tetsuo is a shameless womanizing drunk, Gendo has a gambling problem, and Waraji has no patience for anyone and snaps at the slightest criticism or obstacle. It's like putting a group of children in charge of our village's hopes." She says flatly before retracting her bone blade and sighing, "I'm sorry, I just don't understand how we can make these slobs a competent fighting force in a week. Also, what do we have to do to prove ourselves in Lady Mizukage's eyes?"

    "Thank you.
"We've got our work cut out for us. I'd like to hear your thoughts and opinions on what we can do to get the Seven Swordsmen ready by the end of the month."

We should ask if Kaji's genjutsu could help with getting the team to work together. Because before the month is out, we're going to give Kumogakure and their Kinkaku Force a black eye.

We may not want to mess with the Land of Fire's 12 Guardian Shinobi, though. They're specifically ninja's that left their Villages and joined the Land of Fire, and aren't considered a Konoha organization, even if they protect the Land of Fire.
We may want to keep this as a shinobi affair, rather than dragging national forces into it.

Fortunately you catch Kaji before he leaves his home for the day. After discussing Kisame and your test with him he acquiesces and comes with you the Second's Sanctuary, wherein you both wait and chat with one another as best as you can. The first member to arrive is Mangetsu, Saito hot on his heels. Saito is a bald severe looking man with a long series of cuts along his neck and cheeks from what looks like a vigorous torture or interrogation session. He bows to you and sits down by the waterside.

The Sanctuary itself is a large smooth cave, the inside of which appears to be pearl. At the center of the cave is a large deep pool, around which are at eight seats, made for the Seven Swordsmen and the Kage.

One by one the members file in except for Tetsuo. Mangetsu excuses himself and wrangles Tetsuo back, carrying the man on his shoulder. Tetsuo is slobbering drunk, his long beard stinking of old liquor, bloodshot eyes gazing fixedly on Yuki's chest as he looks up at you, "So...you're the new boss?" he asks and offers his hand, "Sapleasure." He hiccups with a smile.

Okay, so does that mean that an attack or fight with the 12 Guardians would be construed as an attack on the Land of Fire?
I'm sure that if it was done as the course of a mission, no one would bat an eye. But if it was perceived to be the Hidden Mist Village flexing its muscles, it might be considered overstepping our bounds as a Hidden Village.

Picking a fight with a non-allied shinobi team like the Kinkaku Force, though, should not only be acceptable, but expected.

Or we can try for a rematch with that jonin team of Ino-Shika-Cho Trio and Kakashi/Uchiha pair.

Is the pool considered sacred or anything?
Because if it's not, I'd like to smile, shake Tetsuo's hand, grip it, and then throw him into the pool.
    >> OP 09/26/11(Mon)04:55 No.16429361
    >>16429342
Yes, attacking the 12 Guardians would be tantamount to attacking the Lord of the Land of Fire, which would be nothing short of a declaration of war. Shinobi groups battling one another happens all the time without incident. However, attacking national soldiers, rather than contractors, is war. Thus it would not be really well received unless you were extremely sneaky about it.
    >> OP 09/26/11(Mon)04:56 No.16429368
    >>16429360
Hardly sacred. The Second Mizukage was a loud-mouthed drinking man himself, but unlike Tetsuo, he also was almost a god on the battlefield. He earned his right to drink and be a braggart. Doing what you would do is right in the Second's spirit.

And since we want this fight to be well known in order to show that the Seven Swordsmen are back, the 12 Guardians makes for a bad target.

Everyone bursts into laughter at seeing him bob up and struggle to the shore, spitting out water and sputtering, "What...what'dya do that for!?" he asks indignantly, feeling around for his sword before remembering that Mangetsu put it in the Great Scroll, like everyone else's put yours as a show of respect to your leadership. Your bold words leads everyone to not only support you, but to support themselves, which is the most important thing. Kaji helps you set up a mental network with one another that he is not a part of so that you all can remain in constant contact and with that bids you all good luck.

Now, let's talk about this stage of the game. In the Jonin-level we are not only powerful, but an authority in our village. We can command Genin and Chunin to do pretty much anything we want, and we have enough sway in the village to browbeat people for some free stuff if we need it. However, the most important thing to talk about is the Teaching system.

Being a shinobi is nothing that can be self-taught, you must learn from another. During this month you will take missions and gain Skill points and Perks as usual, however, instead of taking them for yourself you can pass them out to your subordinates and allow them to advance faster. This represents you taking time out of your schedule between missions, during, and after them to teach people, talk to them, help them grow and flourish. As a result, you will see faster results on a grand scale, but a far slower personal progress. Success promises great rewards.

Hmm...perhaps...we could focus on a team jutsu, involving all seven of us? Each member gets his own unique ability to learn, but by combining them, the sum is greater than its parts.

Like we have our mist as a starting point, and then when another adds their jutsu to it, what e'er it be, the radius also increases as a by-product or force multiplier? And in the end, we stalk the battlefield together in a bloody Red Mist that only we can navigate through...none can see what we do, or hear...only see the corpses we leave in our wake.

Waraji is 100% swordsman. He has no other skills, but he is filled with a suite of Taijutsu techniques that make him a better swordsman than you. However, you'd still trash him. He is more skilled, but you are a force of nature.

Tetsuo, however, is a more skilled combatant. At least he was when he taking missions. He's been out of work for over two months, living on mooching, theft, and gambling. When he was in fighting shape he was a master of making illusions of himself in the mist and having them weave through the battlefield. Additionally he could move between the illusions, slowly, earning him the title of the Dancer. Lastly, he is a sensor-nin.

Like those looking at it keep on seeing nightmarish figures glancing in and out of it, dragging their fellows into the mist to be swallowed up.

And perhaps another swordsman could actually perform a ninjutsu where he can control tendrils of the mist to actually drag people into it with misted, hazy-blooded claws- or to have the mist wield his sword itself (or turn himself into the mist, or make it seem so)

Tetsuo can make illusions to lure enemies into ambushes and can make enemies think they've located Yuki in order to stop the bone spikes but instead find themselves in a worse situation.

That way, those in the mist will THINK it's a genjutsu, try and cancel out, and will find out to their horror that they can't! The hallucinogen can be brought in via a scroll, I reckon, if none there can generate it.

First, I believe that we should start training. I want to know that we can rely upon every one of the Seven to work as a unit. Team building exercises, finding out who's best at what, that kind of thing. Do this - no slacking, all work and no play - until we can act like a unit. Accept criticism, too.

Also, are the Seven Swords as important as the Seven Swordsmen? If so, we need to hunt down Raiga, kill him, and get the Swords back. We can focus on getting Samehada back at a later date.

Then start taking A-Ranked, or higher, missions. Work as a team, and other then putting points into Swordsmanship, help train up everyone else.

Send a seagull to Gen with a taciturn apology about not being able to work together for a year but "Our mighty Mizukage has ordered a legbreaker like me to bring order back to the Seven Swordsmen. Wish you had focused swords rather than needles."

As for our undecided Jonin ability I think that, if we can't find a sure fire way to bring water to combat, that using blood to at least expand/create our mist will be useful. If we can, however, we should focus on flicker blading. Although, if we can get 'Avatar of the Sea' at this point, I want that so hard. Also, we need to find someone to teach us fire Ninjutsu. Because if we can easily use Fire Ninjutsu and we don't know it, we are a less able tool.

I had a brilliant idea for our team special jutsu- We can be the strategic deployment: We make our special ability a suped up water dragon that we pilot from inside the mouth while the others use tadayu to surf on it's back. This gives us a solid protection while we speed zoom around the mist, and gives our allies a big flashy distraction whilst they hop into the fray. And here's the fucking kicker: Thanks to Eyes in the Mist + Blood Hunger, we can essentially ghost ride the whip- or in this case DRAGON(Thousands of shinobi target dragon rape train with jutsu, LOLNO SHINOBI MOVEMENT, chakra rises with body count, hop back in the driver's seat).
    >> Anonymous 09/26/11(Mon)06:38 No.16430105
Thinking about jutsu we could use, especially to take advantage of our fire nature, I've been trying to come up with utility that is easy and economical for us to use, and provides openings or penalties to our opponents.

One- Jyouki: Netsuhihai no Jutsu <Steam: Heat Exhaustion Technique>. Mitigates cost in that it requires we use Kirigakure no Jutsu first, it alters the nature of some of our chakra in the mist to fire, making for a boiling sauna like effect on the targets. If you've ever been in one too long you know it would not be a pleasant field condition to fight in.

The second I thought of as using a material component of phosphorous added to the mist which is then charged with fire natured chakra, but could be done without. The idea is to make flashbulb effects, to distract or blind the foe.

Other than that, I really think we should use regular Bunshin when we fight, just to keep our opponents off guard and provide openings.

Yuki is a strange mix of brutality and nurturing. She can heal you with great skill but she can also be one of the most dangerous fighters in the Hidden Mist. Her Dances allow her to inflict massive damage at the cost of damaging herself, and her Seedling Fern allows her to completely negate an entire area due to the bone spikes that rise. Lastly, she can move through those spikes. Her uniques are as follows. Habitual Loner says that whenever she is more than 5 squares from an ally she can ignore a single 10 on any roll she makes for 1 Determination. Kagyua Anatomy allows her to resist poison, Genjutsu, and other things of that nature with a Rank+Kaguya Taijutsu check. If she succeeds she ignores the effect and pays 1 Determination. For 2 points of Determination per activation she can reduce any incoming damage by her Taijutsu ranking. This can be activated more than once per turn.

Aquatic Anatomy allows him to be treated as water for all effects. He can be restored with water, enough fire can make him dissolve into steam, requiring more water to reform. He can be killed by lethal evaporation if he is not liquefied in time. Ravenous Hunger gives him a cumulative +1 damage to each strike that does damage over the course of a battle. Mind for Swords allows him to understand, know, and be able to use all functions of any sword he holds, regardless of ownership, unless it is chakra sealed to only respond to the user’s touch.

Tetsuo Kodomari is a strange man from the Mist. He prefers the horrors of people’s fear to the horrors of their blood and pain. He likes inflicting terror before damage. As such, his Signature Jutsu allows him to force people to take Genjutsu tests all around him when he appears from hiding. His Unique 1 allows him, every time he successfully evades a technique, to gain a Nimbleness Counter. These counters stack up to his Taijutsu score. The next Taijutsu attack he makes, including a Taijutsu technique, does extra damage equal to his Nimbleness counters. They also deplete when he misses. His Unique 2 allows him to force an opponent to test against their own Genjutsu so long as Tetsuo is aware of being in a Genjutsu and it’s not a Kekkei Genkai Genjutsu. Grand Performance allows Tetsuo to, for 3 Determination, automatically evade all Taijutsu attacks targeting him for a number of rounds equal to his Nimbleness Counters, which decrease at a rate of 1 per round after enabling this technique.

The idea is, that if we were in the leader role we would use "omfg are the riding a dragon" no jutsu to quickly decend upon a battle field. If we were in the sensor position though activating our signature technique "Massacre in the mist" we instead would increase the difficulty of chakra detection even further in regards to the mist.

In this setup I'm thinking all seven swordsmen have the signature technique "Massacre in the mist" but its situation specific and requires other members of the seven to be present for it to be used. The mist expansion effect would be like adding a square or a multiplier for every swordsman within range.

To answer your question better though, this way it'd allow for a group of say two of the seven swordsman to use a variant of the combo mist attack as opposed to not being able to use it at all and it would be markedly different if they were in filling different roles than normal.

Under the red and white outfit and white cap, Gendo can suffer more harm than most shinobi could conceive of. His Leatherskin Tank ability allows him to negate all piercing or slashing damage from a non-chakra source and reduce all piercing or slashing damage from a chakra-based source by 3. Flamboyant Showstopper breaks all Genjutsu within earshot of Gendo as he demands all attention and fills the air with his chakra enhanced laugh. Finally, Bloodcurdling Laugh costs 3 Determination to activate, however, it gives all foes within earshot a -3 Dice pool penalty after Gendo successfully kills a foe. Shrieking Laughter, his Signature Technique, allows him to give all foes who fail a -1 Penalty to dice pools until the end of the turn.

That is a bad idea. If the tactic is dependent on everyone being there, what do we do when someone is incapacitated, or god forbid killed in the fight? No, let's just make it a combination of stackable tactics that synergize.

Though maybe having a 7xMassacre in the Mist Signature Ability for everyone is a good long-term plan.

His Maximum Pain jutsu involves putting not only his arm and back, but his heart into the attack. He can pay Determination to increase the damage done. Stop Short can be done in response to a Taijutsu attack, his opponent must make a block test against their own attack. Results happen as normal. Don’t Feel A Thing allows Waraji to ignore damage equal to his current Determination score for the price of 1 Determination and disallowing the use of Determination for a number of rounds equal to the damage prevented. Bloodied But Not Beaten gives him Determination back equal to the amount of damage done last round at the cost of 3 Determination. Battlemind reaches deep into Waraji’s mind where he has a genuine understanding of combat and can inform and help allies, if he can just get over his attitude. From tallest to shortest the order goes, Waraji, Gendo, you, Yuki, Saito, Mangetsu, and Tetsuo.

Waraji is tall and powerful, he wears a black yukata under his tac vest. His black eyes are cruel and merciless and his sharp teeth are chipped from actually biting people through their armor in combat. He wears a long red ponytail.

Gendo, tall and thin, Gendo is dressed like a bit of a fop, overly dressed up and flamboyant, but despite that, he is still serious looking if you see his face. He has lean elfin features and white hair.

Yuki possesess the white hair and pale skin of the Kaguya clan as well as the two red dots on her forehead of the clan, though she often covers it with her headband or her hair. She is dressed like a standard Mist shinobi, anything to make her seem more as part of the group. However, her clothes are often covered in holes from where she sprouts bone.

Saito, bald and creepy, Saito wears the standard Mist uniform with a trenchcoat over it, giving him more of a scary ominous look. He carries steel wire and kunai everywhere he goes, just in case.

Mangetsu has white hair, white skin, and white eyes, as well as sharp teeth. His hair hangs in front of his forehead loosely and he wears a sleeveless top with his flak jacket over it. His legs are wrapped in bandage.

Tetsuo currently is fat, ugly, and drunk. When he was younger, however, he was rugged and handsome.

Waraji is first to the fight against you, seeming like he has something to prove. From the start of the fight he rushes at you, moving like an avalanche. When he gets within your sword distance and you strike he stops your blade with the flat point of his own and pushes your sword up, swinging at your stomach before you block and try and reverse his swing, which is again stopped short, this time with a free headbutt. Waraji laughs and stabs at your stomach, but this time you check him with your pommel under the jaw and knock him flat onto his ass with a massive blow with the flat of your blade.

Your fight with Gendo begins oddly, hearing that laugh which sends a shiver up your spine as he leans back and unleashes a massive fireball, which you counter with a water dragon, a gout of steam pouring from the center of you both. He's on you in a flash, striking downwards with his thin sword as you block and turn on your water saw, knocking his blade aside as you turn off the saw and smash into hard crocodile skin. Laughing, Gendo wriggles away and throws his sword at you, once he's done so he appears behind you and grabs the sword before you parry, ready to strike you. However, the good old fashioned shoulder-slam does wonders as you drive him onto his back and point at his neck.

Hey, you know how we got our sword 'sealed' to our sheathe/hand? Any chance we can get the sheathe sealed to our other hand? That's been bugging me for a bit, since we're going to be going A-Rank now.

Alternatively, come up with a technique/ style based on sword-chucking and recalling the blade mid-flight. As in we toss the thing at one person and charge at another, slamming into the second guy with either hand-to-hand or the sword depending on how things go. Or we chuck our sword and then run AFTER it, screwing up our opponent's counter or defense as to whether we let the sword impact and grab it then, or use it as a feint for a more powerful guard-breaker move.
    >> OP 09/26/11(Mon)08:00 No.16430515
Mangetsu passes on your test, saying you will see when the time comes. You quietly say your thanks, not wanting to rumble with a real opponent when you have another one to go.

Tetsuo picks up his sword, curved and good looking, unsteadily moving from foot to foot, trying to remember how his dance went before suddenly he lunges at you, going from over 50 meters away to up in your face in a single moment. If your sensory powers hadn't screamed for you to block, seeing the massive chakra welling up in his left leg, you might have very well sucked that hit up. However, once you saw it coming you parried it easily and smashed down, hitting nothing but air. For a fat man Tetsuo could move as he slipped past your blade and jumps in the air for a kick, followed by a sweep of his sword, both of which you shoulder and swing back again, meeting the air once more. When he comes close for a third exchange you're ready. He lunges at you again with that same lightning-speed blitz. This time you catch him in a water prison and refuse to let go until he shows you he submits, about to pass out.

Okay, for the first week of missions, how do we want to assemble the teams? We could put all the troublemakers in one team with us, to knock their heads around and show them success. Or we can divide it up between us and Mangetsu, since he's one of the original Seven and so would be a good second-in-command to lead a team.

    All troublemakers to us:

I do want to do at least one mission - likely after we've done some Montaging - as a group. To see cohesion and how everyone acts in a live fire situation.

That, and leaving a single person alive - if we do well - to run back and give the world the warning 'The Seven Are Hungry for Blood'. Or something like that, that will give the world something to think about. I think we should do this after we murder the shit out of Raiga and Zabuza, though. Put a little fear of the Mist into the world.

And a reply to our artist and Seals Master: "Then suffer well. Your riches will increase five fold shortly, if you think you are up to the task of crafting seals suitable for the Seven Swordsmen."

Also, is it possible that we could check up on Misato Hideki and Aya The Leech?

I wouldn't want to leave anyone alive to speak of the newly geared up Swordsmen; the word of one (admittedly terrified) shinobi won't be enough to sway popular opinion toward fearing us- all it would do is make our enemies just a little more cautious and our job harder, prompting them to tease us a little for the extra trouble we'd be having.

No, I'd prefer them to underestimate us, and to demonstrate our new deadliness in the most impactful and blood-bathy way possible, taking out one or more big bingo book names as we do.

    Begin the montage!

After their embrassing beating everyone is willing to listen to your orders, eager to be trained. You and your team begin training in the Sanctuary regularly, running laps around it endlessly, push ups for hours, sit ups everything to get everyone's bodies mean again. You push Tetsuo especially hard and sure enough the weight drops off him with amazing speed.

Away from fitness aspect you begin doing live-fire drills with the team, everyone calls up the Hidden Mist, far away from the village in a remote section of the Land of Water where no one travels, all of you fighting and moving in the Mist, starting to acclimate yourselves to the quirks of the Mist and your communications system. It's a rough system but in time even Waraji can see and sense others in the mist with relative ease, overjoyed at his progress as he runs through the Mist and tackles Gendo before laughing loudly and throwing his head back with triumph.

To start you just take low-ranked missions to see how everyone operates, fixing what you can about their attitudes and their professionalism, Waraji takes the most work, followed by Saito who is so green its unbelievable. Despite that, you push through the solo missions and training with only two weeks eaten of your month.

Raiga appears to have found, setup, and bullied a mining company to turn it into some sort of Cult of the Dead with him as the high priest. Due to some clever infiltration and planning when he raises the seven body-bags to inspect who was blessed with death you unzip your bag and give the most chilling answer, "You." His guards, normal mercenaries, fall instantly to your assault. Raiga draws his Twin Fangs, he calls his lightning, but that doesn't both you, as Yuki counters with her wind, and when he retreats into the Mist, he hears hideous laughter, feels and sees the horrors of illusory warriors creeping up on him, and when he tries to use his Fangs again, this time you show him the true power of your Buzzsaw Blade. You clean up the body in true ANBU fashion, simplying leaving his Mist Headband with the gouge through it, tied around the headstone you put up, as a show of success.

She lists that while it would be nice to end Zabuza, more pression missions have come up for you. Though she doesn't ask your progress you make sure to allude heavily to your success, which seems to please her.

Your first few missions are high B-Rank missions, which is good because your number of missions completed is rather low. It's just beating up gangs of Genin or thugs, raiding, some covert ops, nothing too big until you are given a mission to execute a Cloud Village patrol that gets too close to your northernmost shore. When they appear the heavy mist rolls in and you all execute, for the first time ever, your Massacre in the Mist.

Again the mist twists, dances and moves as Tetsuo slips through the Mist, striking from quarters unseen before vanishing again. Gendo then moves in, his laugh filling the air as he uses Saito's wire to throttle a man to death, his laughter causing the Chuunin to break down and run, one to just collapse in fear, shaking. The runners are stopped by the force of Waraji's attack, like a rhinoceros appearing from nowhere he knocks both men over and stabs them lethally in the stomach. The last person, the weeping man feels a hand on his shoulder, a hand which reaches into its coat, grabs an explosive tag, puts it into his chest and removes itself before sinking into the ground. When the release word is given the man is blown to pieces.

The mist parts, there are only headbands, lying together, tied together, bloody together.

Or perhaps a seal to allow her to channel chakra from the sword into her, letting her suck in and replenish her chakra pool with 1/4 of the chakra pool that her target had left at time of death. Since she's both medic and her Kaguya abilities suck up lots of chakra, she'll need a way to recharge.

Yuki yields her blades and has them wrapped with scrolls which allow her to channel chakra through those bones to cut through harder targets.

Mangetsu chooses to just use all of your blades and focus on his Taijutsu.

Waraji, perplexed about what exactly he wants, takes a thick one-handed blade with no guard, heavy and good for stabbing, just as he likes it. Gen makes him a seal which allows the blade to spread mist when he slashes with it.

Gendo's weapon has a built in amplifier to make his laughter louder and more effective, as well as a filter to make his breathing unobstructed by poison or things like that.

Tetuso takes a weapon that flashes brightly whenever he uses his Dancer's Lunge technique, inhibiting people who try to parry him. Lastly, he can use his chakra to blind people in hand to hand combat.

Finally, Saito creates a blade that stores up to three items for him to bring along more easily and release inside of people's body, exploding tags, chakra-system seals, and an envenomed kunai.

I hope you gents will find that I made a suitable compromise between your ideas for Yuki's blade. So, let's keep this show on the road, because I do have to go to work in like 1.5 hours.

You and your men hunt down Zabuza with extreme prejudice. He is found shortly and though he fights hard in the Mist, his Silent Killing almost ending Saito before he mud clones away, he is eventually caught and killed by Tetsuo who runs him through with his Dancer's Lunge, the speed and force of the attack instantly killing even the might Zabuza. The Executioner's Knife hits the ground just as Haku returns. A combination your new Fireball, thanks to Gendo, and Gendo's fire is enough to keep the ice at bay as Mangetsu chases Haku down, though the day is ultimately won by Saito who climbs into the mirror with Haku and throws him out of it, allowing the mirrors to be smashed and the young man to be silenced for good.

And have we been able to find a mission that fits the criteria we're looking for (against Cloud Village, good to high chance of going up against the Kinkaku Force, high visibility)?

Well, lets do another one-on-one combat. Then Free-for-all, winner buys dinner?

Oh! Also a goal. Running tab of what Sampei owes us. I think that bringing the Snake to the fight is totally cheating so that fight is to us, and he owes the inn keeper a door.

Did we kill Haku? It may have been worthwhile to bring him back. Some brainwashing and a bit of propaganda and we can turn him into a proper little bastard willing to fight, die, and kill for the Mist.

You have four days before month's end.
Yes, there are several missions that would lead to incursions into the Land of Lightning. In regards to the Kinkaku Force you'll need to visit the Intelligence Division and talk to them about it.

    >>16433601
Alright, then we'll need to give Skill points, perks, and the like to everyone to represent our training over the course of the month.

Instigating war at this point of tension has a chance of setting off Shinobi World War Four, if we aren't careful. Fighting shinobi of other nations is fine, it happens all the time, but actively destroying infrastructure and the like would lead the other villages to get up in arms. It all depends on how you go about it.

Right. We need to ask around in the Intelligence Department. Find out what we can about the Kinkaku Force, and which of the missions will draw them out.
Our priority is not to kill the Kinkaku Force; it is to humiliate them by completing the mission in spite of their defense. Make sure that everyone understands that objective. We don't kill for killings sake; we kill because doing so furthers the goal of completing the mission. We'll do enough missions that there will be killing a-plenty anyway.

The total Skill points and Perks we have are as follows. We have 35 skill points to spread around our team, and 6 Perks.

Our purpose is to show that the Hidden Mist Village, and its Seven Swordsmen, are back and a force to be reckoned with.

If it weren't 20 against 7 and our team didn't specialize in causing terror and killing stuff in mist, I might agree with you. I think we kind of have to kill a bunch of them to show the seven swordsmen are a force to be feared again.

You find Aya in second-command of the Intelligence Division. Because of your past with her she gives you a few charts of the Land of Lightning showing where the Kinkaku Force have shown activity. According to the latest data they actually are 25 members strong, atm, all Jonin-level, though it has been speculated that the Cloud has rushed their promotion to maintain a strong force. The Kinkaku Force is famous for killing the Second Hokage when he stood alone against them, killing all but three of them in the First Shinobi World War before succumbing to his wounds when he saved his team.

Since then the Kinkaku Force has been known for their gray cloaks with black clouds on it, like a stormy sky.

I never said to NOT kill any of the Kinkaku Force; just that we shouldn't let killing them take priority over the goal of showing that against the Seven, they can't defend their objective. That not even when outnumbering us nearly 3 to 1, they can stop us. So of course we'll kill a few; but it shouldn't be our primary concern.

    >>16433675
Well, we could kill a few. Or more then a few if they actively engage us and we need to kill to get away.
    >> OP 09/26/11(Mon)16:09 No.16433775
In regards to a mission you can take, there is a valuable mine that the Cloud Village frequently draws ore from as well use for training shinobi. At the moment, according to intelligence, it's being used as a survival-training course for a large number of Genin. An attack here would surely draw forth some initial responses, but more than likely will call the Kinkaku Force as the first response team.

Fair enough then. No need to go out of our way to kill them but there's no reason we shouldn't kill as many as we can when it's convenient. And bloody hell, it's almost 4 to 1 in numbers now.

Could Aya advise us on which of the missions we have on the table, would be most likely to draw the Kinkaku Force?

Also, while our whole schtick is about being professional and an Honest Man, what say when we meet the Kinkaku, we open up our flak jacket so they can see the armor and say "Do you recognize this? Does it seem familiar? Perhaps reminiscent of something? COME AT ME, BRO!"

So we hit that location, kill as many genin as possible because hey they're the future. Take out the first few guardians and then work on making the mine unusable for the forseeable future by them. If that doesn't draw out the Kinkaku force we may have to get creative.

However, as soon as you start to move for the door he reveals himself, shaven, clean, well trimmed and taken care of as he sighs, smiles, "Ready for service, Captain." he says and sits down in his place around the Second Mizukage's Sanctuary. As you look around the Mizukage's chair suddenly is filled by the Mizukage herself, "I'm glad to see that you've visible improved them. I'm sure my budget went to good use, and Aya-chan told me about your plans. You have my full support." She informs you and looks at you, "Be careful, the Kinkaku Force are famous for a reason."
