I got bored /tg/, so I decided to tear open a rift to another universe.

Unfortunately you've been dragged into it, and you've ended up on an island isolated from time and space. It's filled with all manner of terrifying creatures, and you're all alone.. yes you anon. Trapped indefinitely.

However, because I'm not such a bad guy, I can help you out. Here's a bunch of stuff you can choose from, to make your stay there not so bad. I'll be working on getting you out, but it could take anywhere from a month to a hundred years.

BUT, I'm a fucking wizard. So depending on how many gifts you choose, you'll face a nemesis.

Your first gift: Is free and you're welcome, as an apology.
Second: No nemesis for you... yet.
Third : One nemesis must be chosen.
Fourth: Your greed means another nemesis.
Fifth: Your arrogance is punished by another nemesis to choose.
Sixth: Fuck you, you're now a chair.

Make your choice anon, but BEWARE. Some gifts are not as useful as others, and you won't have long before you nemesis will be strong enough to defeat you!

You may only choose gifts from the list I have provided, and if you cannot do that, you don't deserve your mind.

You are now a piece of furniture. You may choose any piece you like however.

That book of spells is beyond even my understanding, the illustrations are vague at best. Is that a spell that allows you to breathe fire, or boil your enemies insides?

But should you be brave enough to use the book, you may be my apprentice. I need someone to make coffee.

    >> Anonymous 09/04/11(Sun)15:28 No.16180023
I'm going to pick s1, the magical castle shelter place. Sure, it may have things that could rape me, but I'll have my magical servants test them out first. It said most of them are not unpleasant, so I can just resist temptation to try everything out, and avoid things that look like rape in a can.

My second and final choice is c2, the fairy girl companion. She's more interesting and useful that someone who thinks the same way I do, and the "talk (and more)" description pretty much says she'll put out if I'm not a jerk.

So those are my two choices, that means no nemesis. Though, that spellbook was pretty tempting...

Nothing really, except never being able to leave, perhaps for decades. Are you sure you don't want another companion? The Dog perhaps? A clockwork woman? A mystical chest?

Nothing ventured, nothing gained! 5 things!
(Because the factions themselves are so horrifying, I don't feel like Nemesi will make it any worse)

Spellbook! Because knowing magic seems very useful on this Hell-Island, and it will hopefully be more helpful against the more intangible foes than the Sword would be.
Pixie Flirt! Because annoying, yet cute sidekicks are a must. Also, a guide to some of the wilderness seems very useful, what with all the gribblies who take unkindly to trespassers..
The Knight! Because I need a mighty Bro to help complete our quest, and he's a good guy to offset the Pixie Flirt.
Mental Retreat! I like this because it's great defense for myself and my allies against the horrors of the island(some of them, anyway) and cold, desolate wastes make me happy.
Perverse Castle! A base of operations to stage our quest from, and looting a place full of semi-cursed trinkets is pretty much my greatest fantasy besides omnipotence.

    Nemesi-
Sleepwatcher. I am vaguely skilled at dreaming already, so I'd hopefully be able to defeat this one.

The Madness. Another mental abomination- again, my mind is much stronger than my flesh, so I'm trying to avoid physical horrors.

The Killer- Between my Magic, the Pixies Stealth, and the Knight's Steel, I think we'll be able to take this guy once we get skilled enough.

But yeah, it's those factions that really worry me.

Yes the sleepwalker will be there, yes it will be waiting for the right time
Yet I will never sleep, so although it will always follow me. As long as I don't rest I'd be fine

The demonic argument makes sense as well.

But just to make sure, an alliance abominations along with a nemesis one is sure is demonic or an abomination like the shadow man, madness, or the forgotten children

alright, originally I was thinking that I wouldn't be selfish, and only take a shelter and companion to avoid nemeses, but it seems like none of the shelter alone would truly keep out the dangers of the island, so I'd need some protection as well.

    >The Perverse Castle
Comes with magical being to protect you and artifacts that don't kill you, just "are perverse" and aren't always unpleasant.

    >The Pixie Flirt
Changes to be whatever you want and wants to have sex whenever you can find time, at the cost of having constant company. Sounds like a win/win when you're on a stranded island full of monsters.

    >The Knight
Incredibly useful in battle, both physically and magically. More company and a bro. Also, I could sleep with him.

    >The Sword
Last line of defense. Whether you like it or not, you'll be alone sometimes, and being able to reliably defend yourself when shit hit's the fan is a dire need.

That's four gifts, which means 2 nemeses.
    >The Forgotten Children.
Sounds like the most manageable threat of them all, no threat of an inevitable fate (like the Shadow Man, Madness and Sleepwatcher) just a threat that can be dealt with by simple force.

    >The Killer.
So he'll be a tough as shit BBEG. I'll have to muster every ounce of strength to defeat him, like Van Pelt, he'll just be that bastard I can't beat without using every single resource at my disposal.

So Here's the final tally. A huge castle full of powerful artifacts with minor drawbacks (like occasionally being raped by Eldritch horrors) and magical constructs that fight for me, a male companion who's an incredibly skillful fighter, a sword that makes me a master swordsman, and a female companion to spend time with, who is smart enough to disappear when danger comes.
So a pair of master swordsmen with artifacts of some degree of power leading an army of magical constructs against a group of blind zombie-like midgets and a single serious threat. Sounds good to me.

My nemesis will be Madness. I have faced it once already, looked my own inner demons in the eyes and wrestled them into submission. Madness no longer holds mystery or power over me, I can confront it mind-to-concept. You should not offer the option of a Nemesis that I have already faced.

I will live a simple life of comfortable seclusion and exercise (hopefully all that swimming will pay off with an otter-mode body) whilst I master the spellbook and wait to return home. Please do not keep me here too long, or at least tell my girlfriend what has happened. Once home, I desire the Chest, though I wouldn't mind the Book, either, assuming I haven't memorized it.

    Okay OP, I've read carefully.

I'll take c3: The Mistress, a3: The Sword and s1: The Perverse Castle. My nemesis will be n1: The Shadow Man.

I've got a potent will. I can resist something as trifling as curiosity while living in the castle. The bottom line is that I need that home base to take care of my basic survival needs while I embark on the investigation of and fight against my Nemesis.

The armour servants will take care of me while I'm in the castle, but outside I'll need other sources of power and defense. To that end, I chose The Succubus. She may harm me, and she may not always allow me to pursue The Shadow Man, but "not even the most powerful" of the island's other denizens could harm me as long as we travel together.

The sword is for my inevitable battle with The Shadow Man, assuming that violence is even the solution to that nemesis. I recall that the Succubus cannot help me beat him.

... So, did I choose foolishly, and bad end? Bad end /tg/ pic not really related.

It seems like the optimal choice would be s4, c2, p2, and then n2. The path provides for food and protection, as well as entertainment, even if everything is a bit macabre. Pixie girl can probably help teach me magic and help mediate between myself and the other fae. Alliance fae helps so that i don't get screwed over in the path. The lost children seem like changelings, so maybe the alliance with the fae will help?

The only problems I'll have is if a fight emerges. I really want that sword, but i'm not sure if another nemesis that I can't defend against as much is worth it.

If I wanted the sword, I'd go c4, a3, p6, n6. With the sword and the knight I'm sure I could fend for myself in the wild. He could help teach me sword fighting and magic. We could just camp out where the Guardians are as well. Because the Killer is just a physical threat, the Guardians, the Knight, and the Sword together should be sufficient to put him down should he attack us.

Are the nemesis allied with the alliances, or are they just weak against them?

    >I's not safe if something's close enough to touch you

But there's absolutely no reason to ever step out of the Mental Retreat unless you need to explore the island to defeat a Nemesis. You don't become hungry or thirsty, and the only requirement to "win" is to wait for the wizard to get you out of the bizzaro universe you've been thrown into. If you wanted to, you could just take the Fey companion and Mental Retreat and spend the rest of your days fucking eachother's brains out in increasingly unique ways until the Wizard gets you out

The issue gets slightly more complicated with regards the various Nemesis characters. If we interpret the fact that Mental Retreat is within our own minds as meaning that only a non-physical Nemesis (such as a demon or the Sleepwatcher) may invade it, rather than it simply providing no protection at all as the status of Nemesis allows them, then it gets even easier. Just pick any Nemesis *but* the ones that can get you. The Killer may be a mighty warrior, but there's nothing he can do once me and my Fey companion wisk away into my mind, and with no incentive for me to ever come out, there's no reason to even worry about him

Hell, even if he *could* invade, then I just don't take enough gifts to get a Nemesis, and I get a guaranteed win condition. The only thing to even think about contending with is demons, but since I don't have any magical items or anything, I don't really see how they could attack me. Hell, even if they can, fine, I drop the Fey companion and take Alliance: Demons

It's just not very interesting, is all. Being dropped on a strange island full of hostiles and having to find a way to survive for X amount of time? Cool. Being able to wisk away to Mental Horizon where nothing can realistically attack me and I never have to come out of it, ever? Not very cool

I think fighting off my nemesi in a featureless void will my more tactically advantegous than being ambushed on the island.

Am I able to slay the forgotten children? Is their main threat their ability to come back after being slain and continue to hound me?

It says I won't have any needs in the mental retreat, but if I stay in their for a long time, will I immedietly starve to death upon re-entering the island?

I didn't present that as clearly as I wanted to. What I mean is that, in the Alliance: Demons text, it says that they "usually" enter reality through secret doorways or poorly cast spells. I have no spell book, so there's no spells for them to react to, and unless my teleportation spell counts as a spell or a "secret doorway," there's not really much of a chance of them invading me. The Mental Retreat and The Cave specifically are escapes though. The Mask seems abusable too. It cannot be harmed and will obey your specific commands. Simply immediately ask it to slay your Nemesis (and pick a physical Nemesis). Job done.

You know, since it specifically says that a shelter cannot protect you from a nemesis, I think that any nemesis can eventually find a way to penetrate your defenses. While the way into your mental retreat may be through physical contact it might be possible for some kind of item/spell/ritual/itsmagicidonthavetoexplainshit can pull you out or even be able to get in anyway. Perhaps while using the mental retreat you actually store your body in a 'safe' place that could be reached by particularly stubborn nemesises.

Perhaps the Killer IS an immortal guardian who wishes to kill me simply because I came from another world or disturbed some ancient secret upon my arrival. Maybe with a Guardian alliance I can delay his wrath while I set things right, or at least learn from the other guardians what he is protecting.

Also, I would totally participate in a Quest Thread of this.

That is wrong, nemesis can get anywhere you can eventually.

    >then I just don't take enough gifts to get a Nemesis
If you're going to explore the island and rely on the mental retreat then it's possible that the demons, the abominations, the vampires and the fae may each have a decent chance of sneaking in once they know you can do that. All they need to do is be in contact with you when you shift so unless you stay in there the first time you need to retreat you're not going to be able to evade them forever.

The mental retreat is only guaranteed safety if you go there the moment you arrive and never leave and have no nemesis.

Would be cool, but I'd suggest changing it up. Remove the alliance section completely and have that just be something played out in the quest. Have all the nemeses be present and at the Quest start one initially pursuing the player character (but eventually all can be triggered if you're stupid, and all are present).

Three gifts = one nemesis anyway, so let the players choose one shelter, one artifact and one companion and then their selected nemesis. Then begin. All other shelters, artifacts, companions, all the potential allies and all the nemeses would be present on the island and capable of being encountered in the course of the quest.

Also, the line between 2 gifts and 3 gifts is questionable from a logical perspective.

2 gifts means contending with the dangers of the world. 3 gifts means contending with an incredible, nigh-unstoppable power. But if that third gift doesn't offer something to help deal with that power, you are VERY screwed. So you gain virtually nothing for that third gift, and have very little incentive to take it.

    However? ADVENTURE HO! Three gifts!

Tricky. If you take a nemesis, then you should probably take the alliance that helps with that nemesis, so the 2 cancel each other out - 2 gifts and no nemesis, or 2 gifts, a nemesis and an alliance. If you only take 2 gifts, then you can't get shelter, companion and artifact. I'm assuming the island itself provides plenty of opportunity for heroic tales of peril and adventure, so a nemesis isn't needed - I think I'd go for Knightbro and the Amulet. Shit would be boring without allies, and I'd hope we could find somewhat safe "base" areas even without one of the shelters. Obviously I'm not gonna pass over a powerful magical artifact. Might be worth taking an alliance+nemesis pair, and making base camp in the allies' territory.

Spellbook, most definitely. If I know jack shit about wizardry, spellbooks are like swiss army knives on steroids made from eldritch horrors. Who needs a waifu when you've got goddamn magic?

I'm torn between the remote cave and the perverse castle. On one hand, the cave seems like the perfect place to plumb the spellbook, but if I'm gonna get into the whole wizardry shindig then I should probably get used to tiptoeing around terrifying consequences for even a minor fuckup.

That right there is the easy setup, but it would also be fucking boring because there's no nemesis. Plus there's the whole Castaway "going insane if you don't have anyone to talk to" thing. So I'd go with the Knightbro because I need someone who isn't shit at physical activities.

And that leaves me with a nemesis to choose. There's nothing quite like a good old-fashioned dick. Psychological horrors are nice, but there's something I just love about someone who wants to kill you just to prove he can. Or maybe it's because he wants to take your shit. Or maybe he just hates your face. He speaks your language, but you still can't reason with him because he doesn't give one tenth of a fuck about you outside of how he's going to kill you. Now THAT'S a nemesis.

Within the perverse mansion, my beauty and I will enjoy all manner of deviant sexuality. I will face the killer in single combat wielding my sword, with which I will either kill him, or stall him long enough for the beauty to fire the ballista we made together.

    I will go with;
    Haunted Castle - Seems interesting
The Mask - Free Magic powers and jokes!? Can also dispel most evils in the castle.
Vampires - Need some sort of ally and they most likely would dig my sweet castle.

Game plan would be to explore castle looking for sweet gear until I am ready to explore island. Have the vamps watch my back in the nighttime when I cannot command the mask to be casting spells. I want that adventure and sweet skills so when I come back to this world I will be sooo Metal. Also I want to take the mask back.

    >>16181179 Although it says I'm enemies with all unchosen factions, could I possibly gain an alliance (or at least a ceasefire) manually, for example, fetching artifacts and the such for the guardians?

Unfortunately unless an alliance is chosen, those creatures on the island are your enemies. Some are not so harmful (The Guardians & The Fae) but others are deadly (Vampires, Demons, Abominations). It is possible to further gain the trust of those you have allied with, so that they might aid you in battle or with magical power.

You might have to do some things that compromise you morals however.

Though the most rewarding thing about an alliance is that should you pick a nemesis that belongs to that group, it will not "kill" you, and perhaps buy you time to work out how to banish it before it makes your life a misery.

Say I pick the romantic cabin and a waifu then decide to harvest moon the shit out of things, do I have to worry about vampires coming in the night to take me and mine?
What about cultists, what about eldritch horrors from the lake?

Are these the standard vampires with standard weaknesses. By not inviting them in, are bound to just stand outside and tempt?

The fae, are they the type to make binding deals?

    Okay.

    ALL PREVIOUS RETREATS ARE CANCELLED.

    !-NEW RETREAT-!

    !-THE SHIT-FILLED SEWER-!

This dank sewer appears at one corner of the island. It is connecting to a yawning abyss which will destroy you if you touch it (but which will not harm your nemesis) and from this abyss flows a river of stinking, sickening shit. You never get used to the stench of shit. The sewer is infested with rats and diseases. The shit flows out and will eventually ruin the entire island, causing the wizard to get so fed up with you he never brings you back. If you select the sewer, you automatically also select all six nemeses and no further gifts.

I think you need to re read the alliances. The alliance doesn't make them friendly to you, it just means they won't kill you or leave you crippled when they are done with you.

Chooseing the Mistress and Alliance: Demons wouldn't change how the mistress acts, but it might mean the other demons recognize you as her property, meaning they'd ask her permission before they fuck with you.

Hey hey now, some of the retreats are pretty decent. Perverse Castle, Haunted Lake Mansion, and Secret Path are all pretty good because they offer some safety, but their own unique dangers and hooks as well

Haunted Lake Mansion really needs some sort of advantage, though, like maybe a library containing lore and history about the island. As it is, it's really just a liability to take it, albeit an interesting one

If I may make a constructive request for adjustments to the Shelters:

Remote Cave: Counts as two gifts, so you cannot bring a companion or any artifact. It pretty much becomes what the current Mental Horizon is, which is to say a test of your ability to stay sane in exchange for absolute safety

Haunted Lake Mansion: Contains an extensive library that you may use to research all facets of the island. A general map of the island, its inhabitants, and all the sorts of things you might expect a scholar in the area to know are present, perhaps even the magic that the cultists make use of. Naturally, any involvement with magic will carry with it the danger of demons or perhaps even cultists who learn of you trying to master their craft, in addition to the ghostly dangers that roam this Shelter when night comes

Mental Retreat: You grow hungrier and thirstier as you stay in the retreat, but you do not feel it until you exit. Stay in the retreat as long as you wish, but wait too long and you may well come back as an emaciated corpse. The ability to keep track of time may prove to be an invaluable skill if you make extensive use of this Shelter..
    >> Anonymous 09/04/11(Sun)17:59 No.16181674
Right. Wise Wizard, I have chosen my gifts and I apologize for the number. I do it not out of greed or arrogance, but for survival and making the best of things. If I am to be accidentally transported to a mystical island with many dangers and wonderful scenes, I wish to make it an experience.

Shelter: I choose the Perverse Castle. My second choice was to be the remote cave but something put me off. I love that atmosphere but I simply can't SLEEP there or feel truly comfortable. I must have a proper "house" of sorts and the servants and the artifacts make for entertainment in a way.

Companions: The Beauty and the Knight. A balance of the sexes and relationships. The Beauty will help me and the servants with the upkeep and romance/filthy sex while the Knight shall be a bro I can practice with and help defend me.

Artifacts: The Sword. As much as I appreciate my servants' work, my Beauty's willingness to help and my Knight's oath to defend me from any danger: I'd feel better in many respects if I can defend myself well. Thus I take up the mystical blade to return the favour to my comrades.

Alliance: Abominations. I choose the be allied with the most alien of the Island's inhabitants. Demons, Shadow people, zombies.. these are all well-documented even in our mundane Earth. Abominations are significantly less (and most accounts say they are simply eternal).

Five gifts result in 3 enemies.

Sleepwatcher: I am no stranger to scary shit in my head and I have Abominations as an allegiance so the threat from this nemesis is lowered considerably to that of a mostly well-meaning asshole bully.

The Killer: My fortifications, comrades and my own skill with the blade will make quick work of this foe.

The Forgotten Children: I hesitate to choose these as the aesthetic is a big weakness for me BUT the other choices are too unnerving to consider (like the madness, turning on my own comrades is unthinkable). I would quest deep into the Island and find a way to lay these tortured infants to their final rest.

How shall I fare, Great Wizard?

Choices: Pixie, Knight, Crown and Fae Alliance
    Nemesis:Killer and Forgotten Children

I'll have my Pixie companion give me a run down of Fae etiquette and knowledge of the surrounding area so I neither insult them or go where I'm not allowed when dealing with the Fae. I'll then learn what I can from them and the Pixie to combat the Forgotten Children and do away with them for good.

And thought Killer may be bigger, stronger and faster, I'm sure that once Broknight, Pixie and I begin using the Crown to boost our minds and glimpse the future we can pull a Batman and put together the perfect plan for defeating Killer.

    From there Adventure Time!

You may put too much faith in a sword to protect you from each nemesis you have chosen, and do not make the mistake of assuming a mundane shell does not hold a true terror.

I would have suggested taking the Sleepwatcher as a Nemesis, because it at least it's advances will be strange affection instead of malicious when you have an alliance with the Abominations.

Your companions and shelter are wisely chosen, and I cannot fault your strategy against the Forgotten Children - but the Killer will destroy you utterly if you let him come to you. In strength of arms he cannot be defeated.

    That is true!

I would obviously go on a quest with my comrades to find out how the Killer can be defeated BUT I have tricks up my sleeve. I would employ the wisdom, magic and physical strength of my fellows to craft traps and hindrances in my castle. I would also spend ample time studying and field-test the various artifacts and figure out ways to turn them against my enemies.

If the Killer is not swayed by might of arms, surely a Home Alone-esque castle with all manner of traps ranging from playful (super-slippery floor with nowhere to hold on to) to horrifying (Shitting dicknipple tentacles that come out of a painting in the Killer's path) should slow him down enough for my party to figure out how to get rid of the bugger for good.

The mental retreat is still viable. It's the only shelter you can "take with you" while traveling the island. The only worry is that considering how empty you feel when entering it, your apathy may stop you from ever leaving.

So, take the mental retreat and the clockwork woman. Hopefully her programming will leave her immune to the mind-numbing effect of that space, and she can remind you of your duty and reality after a rest.

Not the Wizard, but remember that the premise behind The Killer is he *will* defeat you and your companions in actual combat. That is an absolute certainty. You'll only defeat him by searching the island for his achilles heel

If I were to make a suggestion, I would sub out the Knight for the Fey companion. The Sword will already provide you with formidable might, but without someone knowledgeable about the island, you'll be stumbling in the dark until you find what you need to stop The Killer

Alternatively, you could switch your Nemesis to the Forgotten Children. They can be defeated in combat, and though they'll keep coming for you no matter how many times you strike them down, you may well be able to drive them back for a while, giving you the time you need to find the thing you need to stop them once and for all

It comes down to this: The Killer requires finesse and knowledge. The Children can be circumvented through martial prowess. The Fey companion means you will be able to find whatever stops The Killer faster, The Knight will mean you can drive off The Children for long enough to find what you need. Try to stop The Killer with The Knight, and you'll just both end up dead

The Mental Retreat also works as a kind of panic button, seeing as when you exit you are always going to be in a safe place, albeit one that's close to whatever danger you avoided. It'd be a good way to avoid numerous dangers like falling off a cliff or escaping from a moving wall/lowering ceiling trap. The irritating thing is that just thinking about the place sends you there so if you have an undisciplined mind you could constantly be bouncing back and forth between the real world and the refuge because you can't get the thought of it out of your head. Like The Game.

This. The Cave, while beautiful, is certain death with a nemesis. You can't leave it to explore the island therefore your nemesis cannot be defeated. You'll just live in amazing luxury until the inevitable moment that it sniffs you out (in the case of the shadowman and to a lesser extent the sleepwatcher, you're boned in the first night.)

Question though. I assume the Impostor is just that, another person or being taking the form of something else entirely that has hidden malicious intent. If nothing can enter save for the companions you bring along, if you bring noone along then the Impostor simply doesn't have a shell.

Then how does the Impostor manifest if it's specific design is "pretend to be someone else and then go AHA! IT'S WAS ME ALL ALONG!"

Cut it out. You can't kill The Killer. It blatantly states that he WILL gut your ass in a straight up fight. You might be able to stand a chance against the Forgotten Children, but The Killer is named specifically for his ability to kill the shit out you. The other sorts of Nemesis kill you either via surprise (The Imposter), indirectly, as through madness (The Sleepwatcher, The Madness), or through being too alien to truly fight against (The Shadow). The Children are very numerous, but I think of all the potential foes, they're the ones you stand the highest chance of defeating in straight up combat

Remember that this won't *stop* them, though. You still need to search the island to put them permanently to rest

The killer is deinitely going to kill you, yes?

The cult on the other hand, mentions that whatever they do to you, you will always return alive and your death will not be permanent, despite being a sacrifice.

I would choose the cave, the pixie, alliance fae and alliance cult.

I willingly submit myself to the cult, aware that their sacrifices will not bring me permanent death. Then i make sure the cult is always nearby.
I spend my free time chilling in the cave with my lovely leafy fuckbuddy. Then when the time comes for the killer to arrive. I let him kill me. My last will and testament being that my fae girl takes my body to the cult. They will work their dark magic ministrations upon me and bring me back from death.

    The Mistress
    Demon Allies
    Fey Allies
    -----------------
    Forgotten Children

Way I see, if I take the Mistress, where I take shelter doesn't matter, 'cause she's gonna run the place. Now, with Demon allies I get a (slightly) better chance of the Mistress not horribly disfiguring me, because the more powerful Demons on the island(ie, more powerful than her) think it's funny when I run from them while screaming/pissing myself, so they wont let her do too much damage. That, and I have a HUGE femdom fetish.

Now then, I have no home, and my only "friend" is a succubus who doesn't have to worry about that shit, so I got to enter the forest, and them fey allies wont eat me on sight, after they realize it's me that is.

Forgotten Children as nemesis because Dunbledalf said the allies are linked to the nemesis they are next to.

    Hm.

    C4, A3, A4, A6. N2, N6.

So, Companion: Knight, Artifact: Sword, Spellbook and Mask. Knight is a master swordsman and battle mage, and the mask has potent magical abilities as well as being indestructible. The sword gives me a mastery of the blade and the spellbook would give me potent capabilities as well.

Between the Knight and the Mask I should be able to perfect both arts.. So while I'm unfortunately forced to live in the island wilderness, and I have no protection, I should be able to fend for myself and carve out a home.

Afterall, the shelters exist on the island, and should be claimable if one risks it, right?

    Hardmode:
Take C4, A3, A4, P4, P5. So, Knight, Sword, Spellbook, Alliance: Demons and Abominations.
Nemesis: N5, N6, N4, so Imposter, Killer, Sleepwatcher.

Imposters are Demons and Sleepwatchers are Abominations, right? So... It will be interesting.

    >>First:
I shall have my alliance with the guardians. Delaying the attack of my Nemesis The Killer and possibly having backup when he attacks. My main plan involves living in suitable ruins protected by the guardians. Probably deck it out with treasure, furnishings, ect I’ve plundered from other ruins. I and my companion will use it as both our home and base of operations while using other ruins as Stashes such as the ones used by STALKERS (Think of fully furnished, cleaned up, and well lit ayleid ruin)

    >>Second:
I had to decide between the beauty and the fairy. Though I decided in the end it’d be a better to have a spend time with a personality that was not my own, also a helping hand is always welcomed. Not to mention the side benefits of having a fae companion such as understanding many thing about the island, understanding fae laws and manners, and much more. She also seems extremely interested and dedicated so that would probably stave off the loneliness for quite awhile as well. She may also serve as my emissary where I dare not tread. (Really had second thoughts about the invincible dog. Strap that dog to my arm for an invincible dog shield or invincible dog armor)

    >>Third:
The mask. Evil and dickish it may be the personality type plays very well with me. I will enjoy his banter, jokes, and criticism; I‘ve always enjoyed a somewhat argumentative relationship. Many of my orders towards will it regard the location of my enemies, their weaknesses, information about the island, reading of the spell book for me and translating it for me. It should be a fantastic scout and backup on my many quest as well as be an essential tool for the dispatching my nemisii and many potential foes. I can also use him as an invincible shield if I so order him…well probably a buckler but regardless he’s a solid addition. That contributed with its “myriad and incredible” powers it is a massive boon to my cause.

    >>Fourth:
The spell book goes without saying really. Possible PHENOMINAL COSMIC POWA at my command. I order the mask to decipher the text and enable me to use it with a degree of comprehension instead of mindlessly flinging spells every which way with a decent chance that any one of them could end me horribly or get me a fate worse than death. It will be a center piece as for the defense against my enemies barring their specific weaknesses as dined by the wizard.

    >>Fifth:
My last gift will be the small chest. It will exist more as a supplier than anything. Not just food or something that mundane. Really it exists as a way to getting access to purified chemicals and compounds. Creation of massive potassium nitrate /sulpher/ calcium carbonate/ charcoal (gunpowder), chlorine /sulphur/ ethylene(mustard gas), nitroglycerin (dynamite, flashpaper) gasoline, petroleum, (napalm)
I mean science damnit! I will not be ruined by a bunch of fucking monsters on a island in a dimension the rest of the world will never see without shooting and blowing up everything that get’s in my way….also LSD to party and pure alcohol to clean my wounds. Maybe work my way to a rudimentary shotgun(a long metal closed tube with a hammer mechanism should be attainable within a few years) with cold iron slugs. Fuck fae

    >>Nemesis’s

Forgotten Children: Fucking fae how do they work? Plans involve running, screaming, using explosives to cave in…ing…essentially the only enemy I assume I can take on at least in minor numbers.

The Killer: Well kind-of the same as the above but with far more screaming and running. Essentially I’m hoping to get guardian backup along with liberal explosives after weakening him via his supposed artifact otherwise I’m fucked utterly

The Imposter: Either the mask helps me out or not the reveal with be staggering
