The final goal, of course, is to obtain a Wish.

The Wish can be whatever the character most wants, but the problem is to obtain a wish you must have a perfect balance of purity and corruption - you must be able to be attractive to men solely by your own merits, but powerful enough to open the gate/collect the talisman/defeat the demon/travel to the netherworld to collect your Wish.

Corruption cannot be removed! However, that doesn't mean you cannot have the Wish - it only means you must somehow make someone else get the Wish for you....

I think adding a stat called "Abnormal" might be a good idea for this, what we fill in there is such things.
Examples:

Wishes as final goals would make more sense than a d100 chart. It gives the characters something to strive for, even if they can't achieve it themselves directly. Almost an inverted Madoka situation - you gain power trying to get your wish, falling into darkness while doing so.

Actually, there is enjou kosai for traps and for lesbvians as well. It's the same situation though, however sex is much more likely for the traps, and there isn't as much onus for women doing so with girls (it usually never occurs to people that's what is going on).

But thew corruption and purity costs don't change - it's all the same, regardless of gender. Social status, however, varies drastically depending on type of situation (traps suffer a higher penalty because it's considered more disgusting/forbidden/embarassing for the boy than usual, lesbian enjou kosai has a lower social stigma as it's not usually thought of in that manner, etc).

I'm not quite sure about that. There IS a market for enjou kosai with traps. They would probably start with less purity than a girl, gain slightly more money (though no more exp), and be pressured to have sex earlier with their regulars. They would also be treated as social freaks by most of the population.

Futa would have the same amount of purity as girls (it's not they're fault that they were born the way they were). They would probably get far less business since 1) they would have to keep their secret and, thus, never have sex or allow certain groping with most clients, and 2) there would be far fewer people who would want to date a futa. However, they would get A LOT more money and some more exp from their clients who want a futa. They would be treated as freaks of nature if ever found out and it would be hard, if not impossible, for them to get a date afterwards.

Basically, it's very simple:
Your Social Standing is important.
Your Purity is important.,
Your Corruption is important.
You lose Purity as you gain Corruption, but you can avoid losing Social Standing by avoiding the appearance of Corruption. Social Standing can help replace the loss of Purity be acting as a 'replacement' for Purity in certain situations (mostly social contexts) but it can also make your Corruption value SEEM higher by the same token.

Corruption and Purity are absolutes; Social Standing is contextual. Traps and lesbians are kept under the same Corruption and Purity Value as typical schoolgirls, but their Social standing is affected very strongly. Futa are Corrupt (body corruption as opposed to soul corruption perhaps a way to 'buy off' spiritual corruption and regain some Purity in an odd way? Must consider this more carefully...), and their Social Standing is imperiled by that fact. You can take a lesser hit to Corruption but a larger hit to Social Standing if you are a Trap and a handsome boy kisses you in a gentle manner. Likewise you can take a massive hit to Purity (thereby gaining Corruption) if a woman fingers you under the table and you are a girl, while not suffering as much of a hit to your Social standing because 'women don't do things like that'.

Corruption and Purity are one way - down, though not necessarily in an exactly equal measure, depending on - you guessed it - Social Standing and Romance. Social Standing can rise or fall, depending on how you comport yourself - being a high class hooker does carry a different social weight (not necessarily bad!) than being the girl who is hesitant about being kissed on a date, even if they have the same exact corruption and purity scores. Romance is the context that changes how much of a differential in Purity Loss=>Corruption Gain there is.

Remember, Corruption is also a measure of power; more Corruption=more power, but you only gain Corruption by losing Purity, and how much you lose is dependent on your Social Standing combined with the Romance of the situation.

as far as the dark secret mechanic there should probably be another list made up that you either roll or pick from and have certain abilities that are only available to you depending on your secret, plus some might alter stats to make elements easier or harder.

for example you could be a young boy crossdressing as a girl, this would give you a better chance at reading male dates moods and have a better chance at manipulating other men, but you obviously would have difficulty engaging in sexual acts since if your date finds your man junk and flips out you need to keep him quiet or lose massive amounts of social standing. However if you manage to have sex with said date and he enjoys it you can use a manipulation skill to blackmail him (gain a follower)

Similarly a regular female player could choose to blackmail a date (married man cheating on his wife with you, a teacher at your school who has a crush/obsession with you) with the same manipulation skill.

failing the manipulation check could cause a violent backlash on the player, or if the person being manipulated has a crush on you it turns into obsession, obsession turns into stalking so rather than gaining a follower you gain an obsessive creepy stalker who may become dangerous if he finds you dating other people.

The most important thing to remember that Purity also affects your ability to be Romanced. While Romance determines the difference between Corruption vrs Purity loss, Purity determines how much Romance can be present in a situation. The lower your Purity, the less Romance you can achieve, and the more Corruption you gain when you lose Purity. Social Standing can help mitigate this to an extent - but that's a two edged sowrd, ebcause Social standign can adversely affect it. No one is going to cry over a low-Romance rape situation that happens to a Trap if the trap's Socail Standing is low. A high social standing girl with a low Purity, however, who is seen as chaste and delicate, can get more Romance even in a very heated screwing in the boy's bathroom because of the forbidden allure. The trap, however, would gain a larger amount of Corruption than his Purity loss, which the seeming chaste girl would not gain as much Corruption despite her larger loss of Purity - their Social Standings affected the outcome of the Romance (or lack thereof).

If I ever decide I want to get rid of my group, I'm going to turn up with my Dark Heresy books, then pull a switcheroo on them and say we're playing Adeptus Evangelion. Once they're cool with that, and start deciding on character concepts, I'll tell them that they all have to be the little girl.

Up to a point. That would probably be the more advanced version - the basics would be "you do this, you gain this much corruption and lose this much purity, in the same amount." Social standing would have more of a Roleplay effect for simple verion. romance would lower your Purity losses and also prevent you from gaining Corruption quickly, while lack of romance gives more loss of Purity and more Corruption.

Social Standing and Romance affecting Purity-Corruption balance would be for more intricate games, with real story and more intense social (and sexual/romantic) situations. With a Wish as the goal, the possibility of gaining the Wish would become higher if you could manipulate your apparent Purity through social engineering - and likewise you could affect other's ability to gain a Wish by the same token. (Ever wanted to play the bad girl manipulatign the nice girl into becoming your pawn and turnign her into your cat's paw so you could achieve your goal? Here you go!)

Purity (A flat value. Probably an even number, such as 20, 25, 50, or 100) (Zero=you have become a Bad Thing._

The Wish is the goal. You, as a girl in this game, can only achieve getting your Wish by having just enough magic to get to the point where you can reach it; this means you must have enough Purity to take it without destroying it and not enough Corruption to push it out of your reach, but you must have the actual Power to get to where it exists. Whatever the Wish is, it is a thing all girls of this strange world want, and they do not have to get it themselves - they can try and convince others to get a wish and then take or receive it from them.

The magic and corruption and purity can be done as allegory or taken quite literally as well. Using 'magic' instead as a way to 'color' the character's viewpoint of the world, representing a drop into madness and self destruction makes it less fantastic but far, far more gritty.

I thought about that, but really, that's a description. There is always a market for every body type, unless you are ugly in the facxe. If anythign, body description would affect Social Standing and Skills in some way, I'd imagine - once you got to Maho levels of magic, you could alter that.

I'm kinda liking this type of scale, as it pertains to the character's willingness for others to perform these acts. It would be a line that your character would have to cross, and with each line you cross you can never go back, with regards to corruption. Like we make a list of ten levels of 'dates'. So one you've let someone feel you up, you gain/lose corruption/purity, to that level, and nothing above that will cause purity loss, because you're just not that pure any more.

Sorta like the virginity thing. but instead of having virginity being the end-all be-all, it's one of the last things on the list.

Crossing one of these lines could even be part of the plot. You've been out with Hiro a few times, and you've let him fondle you a bit because he pays good and you like him alright. But then he starts unbuttoning your blouse...

Maybe you don't want to cross that line, and go to stop him. But then he offers more money. Or maybe he's sweet talking you into it. Maybe he even goes the other way, and tells you that you should stop doing this, confesses he's only paying you so much because he's trying to protect you from those REAL creeps. Heck, maybe you WANT him to, but you also know that you're just a block away from that teacher you have a crush on, or the boy you REALLY love works at that grocery store across the street, or you're on the same train that the school's Moral Defense Brigade takes to school, and if ANY of those people find you with his hand in your blouse then it's all over for you.

There's your conflict. You really need the money (rent/outdated cellphone/concert tickets), you really think this might be love, your heart is pulling one way and your head is pulling the other.

Actually, less than you'd think. Japanese are exceedingly insular, and they're actually worse with their families than they are with their work life. You have a better chance of finding out what gossip is in the workplace than finding out what their daughter has been doing after school - unless you have a stay at home parent (not very likely nowadays). Even then, they're not as likely to know exactly what's been going on.

And when they do, there's usually a lot of self-questioning before it ever gets brought up. When it does get brought up, it's usually far too late to 'fix' anything without seriously insane measures such as taking you kid to home and to school personally, making sure all the doorways are open in the house so you can literally keep an eye on them, etc.

Also, reminds me of that issue of Transmetropolitan, I think the story was called 'Service' or something. Spider Jerusalem does an expose on child self-prostitution (both boys and girls), where the average example is a prepubescent child from a poor family or orphanage who wants all the things they see kids from above the poverty line with (cell phone, cool toys, ect). He interviews a couple kids (takes them to the equivalent of a McDonalds and buys them Happy Meals, plus compensates them for their time), a man who runs a halfway house, and he maintains a fairly journalistic neutrality. I believe he closes by saying something along the lines of: "What sickens me isn't that nobody's doing a thing about it. It's that they NEVER have a slow day." Or somesuch. Been a while since I read it, and I read Preacher right after.

Because if you want simple slice of life, any basic RPG format will do just fine. Unfortunately, there is also no goal, no challenge. You could use the daters as a threat or such, money or a wealthy husband as a goal, but realistically these are high school kids, and they'll get their asses handed to them, arrested, what not.

The reason magic/horror got added in, is because that's a part of enjou kosai that is present in allegory, if not in reality. There is a sense of corruption, a sense of sullied purity there, and that core of self denigration with a purpose is something that can be built upon to form a real game with goal and with threat above and beyond "you resist, so he rapes you" or "you get the money and can now buy your new phone."

It's not that hard to figure out once you actually put a little thought into how a slice-of-life game would work.

Suppose that corruption takes other forms as well. Drug use. Violence. Suicidal tendencies. You make youma or whatever based off of the various corruptive forces at work in the society.

Maybe make a separate spirit realm where all that happens. Your... stable? The other girls/traps you're in a party with. They notice that Hichiko has been cutting herself, and so they cancel their dates for the night, do whatever otherworld ritual, and then take on Hichiko's Blade Youma. For a twist, when the demon is defeated it disintegrates into a broach, which after some investigation turns out to belong to Hichiko's older sister, who was killed during a compensated date.

I dont know if i should be impressed or disgusted by this.

I like some of it, but then again I have already written down a lot of similar things on the wiki.
I also disagree a little bit from a weaboo point of view.
For instance making tons of character skills makes no sense when that should be done accourding to your characters background.
And I dislike the magic scale, because it requires corruption as a fee.
Besides, "the wish" is not the only way to win, for instance you could be a weapon schools heir, or your goal is to make it to some prestige university, to get skilled enough with a skill, or fall in love.
A viable goal should also be to remain chaste troughout the entire campaign, but another important point is that you must pick a goal in the start of the campaign.

Also, I'm sort of confused. Do they get powers by dating demons or other supernatural beings, or do they have like a patron creature that grants them power when they date people, or do they have a natural magical talent that get's more powerful with it(in which case there really should be other ways as well), or is it a natural side effect of enkou? I are confuddled.

I say we use the different types of corruption as allegorical powers.

Bullying: Psychic domination. Lower levels it's other girls doing things to stay on your good side, or using your fear-threats to keep them quiet. Higher levels you can actively possess someone that you've bullied sufficiently.

Eating Disorders: Shapechanging! You've shown you have control over your body, now it obeys your whims! Initially you can adjust body fat, hair length. At higher levels you can change skin tone, height, eye color. As long as you don't mind the debilitating physical penalties, you've got the perfect disguise.

Substance Abuse: Scrying, telepathy, true-sight. What others say is deluding you is actually helping you see clearer. You can see the future in the smoke you exhale, can see what's really going on through the bottom of a bottle.

Violence: The difference between this and bullying is simple: Bullying is mostly emotional in nature. Violence is purely physical. This is best done outside of school, or at another school. This is causing lasting physical harm to another. Usually it starts nobly, getting back at that guy who hurt your sister/friend, stopping that bully from picking on you. The more you lose control when fighting someone, the sharper focus you have when dealing with the other problems in your life.

If I may, with some inspiration from here >>16072081, I'd say that enjou kousai should be only one facet of the game.

I think it should focus more on corruption and "falling" in general. Enkou is gaining power and control THROUGH sacrificing power and control, isn't it? At least from where I stand, it seems as such. Maybe it could be one of several Paths, perhaps.

Say, enkou is controlling and exploiting flesh. There could be one for controlling hearts, through seduction, gaining popularity or bullying others to do your bidding. Minds, yours and others' through substance abuse. Violence, I'm kind of drawing a blank on a single catchy word for it, but it is a very primal thing indeed.

It would start out with smaller things, petty acts with small rewards, spiralling out of control as the character becomes used to having her way, doing worse and worse things. And when something is too much to handle, where their powers aren't enough, they need to do even more and more, until they can't even see where they started out from.

I am thinking of simple combat, where monsters come in hordes or few large enemies.
Thinking about hex tiles for movement, not sure about anything yet.

Illusion and desillusion works by creating "new topology" of the battlefield. For instance making it look like there was a wall where there is really open space, or making flat ground look like a pit.
So far there is only single target attacks except illusion and desillusion.

Will do some more work on it in a few hours.

How about a cap on corruption, since it's your power source.
You can get alot/most of it through the lewd acts, but for that last 25% or so you need to dig deeper.
Corrupting other girls, murder, drug pushing, contracts with demons/devils/spirits for power, drugging your dates and harvesting organs. Something over the top to give you that greater power.

Hmmm, what would make sense now is to separate the "enko" module from the combat module, make it a standalone, and then do a decent development of the combat module, and let it use the enko module as a addon.

Well, for adversaries, how about mikos, who attempt to purify the girls who are obviously not willingly in this whole thing, they are wholesome young women, right? Another thing the mikos don't know is that the girls are a conduit for Corruption, all the dark, base instincts of man that are surpressed. The Corruption has a violent reaction with the miko's artificial, unnatural Purity, causing distortions in reality, people being posessed, even monsters materialising in more severe cases.

Another faction might be an order of catholic nuns, made up from girls who forsake their path to retain a semblance of purity. They are trained, armed, and dangerous, and might attack a girl who harms too many people in ways that can be tracked back to her. They are dangerous in that they serve as an obvious target for any creature out there, and even though they supposedly refused the Path, it's not something that one can be rid of that easily...

Oh, and a few more things. For one, I don't really get how a Wish comes to be, so I figured I'd think something up.

The Nexus is a place said to be present everywhere and at all times, yet it never was and never will be. It exists in the hearts and minds of people, but one can walk it's halls if they know how. It is made from all the surpressed, denied urges, the dark thoughts and twisted feelings. The salaryman who imagines beating his boss to death and the child envious of another who recieves more attention all add another brick to it. At the very heart of it lies something massive, a creature, it's whispering sometimes carried on strange winds throughout the Nexus. Purity burns it like fire, but if one was akin to it, carried enough Corruption with themselves into it's lair, it would reward them by granting a request.

For Paths, we could either have five (which brings to mind the WoD games), or if we must center everything around enkou, then have the other four as outlets for it.

Enjou Kousai, gaining power and influence over the flesh of others.

Addiction, clarity and control through clouding minds, yours or those of others.

Domination, exerting control over the feelings of your peers, making them love you, trust you, or fear you through whatever means necessary.

Diffidence, alteration of your self, through eating disorders, cutting, piercings, tattoos or otherwise.

Violence, acts of agression and destruction.

Body, Mind, Heart, Self, and Others.
