At first believing these strange variants of space marines were sent to help relieve them and protect the populace. Instead they butchered the few, valient survivors of the 5th and used their blood to protect themselves from the bloodtide.
Upon hearing of this travesty, Susan travelled to the planet to confront them, along with the 9th and 10th companies.
Upon making planet fall however, it became clear that the marines who killed the 5th were not actually grey knights, but were instead a band of renegade Custodes who foolishly believed themselves to be the emperor's perfect creations.
At first, things went well for the custodes. With their use of such cowardly tactics as ambush, camouflage, and the use of cover, they slowly ground down the tenth company until only the most beutiful and agile marines remained. Susan, realizing that the cowards would best them if she did not unleash her secret strategems, ordered the tenth company to begin accessing their forbidden ninjutsu capabilities and promptly launched a counter-attack, swiftly defeating them, though the Pure-Blooded Captain of the tenth, Aranelle de la Fleur, was the one to actually defeat their leader in single combat with her duel Nemisis-Scimitars.
At That point, the real Grey knights led by Grand Master Kal Draigo arrived. Impressed by the captain of the -
