06/13/11(Mon)20:10 No.15257881>>15257708 Lord Shatterfall knelt in the circle of silent Marines glad in gold armour. The gods would not be kind to him on his return to the Eye, he knew. Failure could not be tolerated, and his dark patrons would likely consign him to an eternity of torment. It was just so unfair! How could these perfect Marines know where he was going to strike? A gauntlet floated into his field of view. He looked up, and there was a Captain of that infernal chapter, katanas at his side. His eyes met those of his nemesis, and widened in surprise. They were kind eyes, eyes that spoke of forgiveness, of service to the long-forgotten Emperor. "You have been lost, Brother. Lost for a long time," uttered the tall loyalist, his hand still outstretched. "But we have faith that in time, you can find yourself. Come with us, and serve in the name of the Emperor once more. Our father forgives." Long minutes passed, then slowly, slowly, a twisted gauntlet rose to grip the proffered hand. The shamed Chaos Lord made his choice. It had been so long, and these Marines were showing hm the kindness that Chaos would not. Lord Shatter- no, Brother-Sergeant Erasmus rose and the shackles of Chaos broke under the smiles of the Marines. "The Emperor will have my blade once more in his service. It has been a long time. Thank you... brothers."
Now if you'll excuse me gentlemen I need to scrub my brain clean of what I have done. |
