You are a strange creature, capable of taking over other lifeforms to serve as your vessel. Your current host, Jack Winters, was unbeknownst to you a drug addict, and overdosed on speedball. To survive, you bonded with him, but this damaged you, leaving you without any idea of what you are.Your purpose seems to be related to the series of objects that have appeared and dissapeared above major population centers, and to the cyborg-like creature that you killed. Leaving the party that your host's girlfriend organized for you, you met others of your kind, who reacted with hostility to your presence, proclaiming you sick and broken. You managed to kill one of the combat-oriented ones, called a Warrior. During the fight, an aircraft, made and piloted by humans, was shot down.Investigating it, you found that it contained tech reminiscent of the alien tech of the cyborgs. You escaped the police arriving to the scene, and returned, pretending to be a black man.You managed to find little information beside the fact that some government organizations are involved.

    Your known abilities are:
    - reinforcing your muscle and bone tissue, making you several times stronger, faster and tougher
    - growing weapons from your arms, limited to one on each arm in any combination:a hooked, double edged blade on your forearm, claws or a spike that springs out from your wrist underneath your palm
    - hardening your skin into thick, segmented bone plate armor, and growing a membrane under your skin, that contains fluid that hardens on impact
    - absorbing ingested organic material, that you can use to increase muscle and bone density(animal tissue is the most effective)
    - the ability to call forth your host's memories, skills and knowledge
-altering your appearance, includin skin\hair\eye colour, facial features, height, build, and gender, though the more elaborate the change is, the more time and effort it takes.
-producing almost any kind of drug or poison in liquid form, including sedatives, that you can deliver either at high pressure from an opening that can be created anywhere on your body, or through the wristspike.

    Hey, OP

I should apologize. I ignored your quest before even when I ran into it during thread 1 but after reading the archives this seems to be interesting.

Though, I will voice the complaint that one anon left you in thread 1:
your posts lack a bit of flavour. The updates are sometimes very short, like a single line or two. It is always nice when the Quests are more descriptive (see some of the popular ones like Dragon Quest, Harlem Quest, etc... or not as popular but certainly amazing: Binder Quest)
Not saying to start writing walls of text, but would be good if you tried to write a bit more.

    Also
    >reading the previous thread
    >after the dangerous fight, people go for the VTOL, ignorir 3 bodies of Bodysnatchers, which would have been easy snack and free upgrades.
    >why.jpg

    ---

Anyway, what was the plan now? We changed into the FBI agent....
    Now what?

This whole idea seemed dumb to me when I was reading the archive.

You stiff the pistols into Greg's pants, and fold your clothes neatly, placing them in a stall adjacent to the one Greg's in. You check yourself in the mirror, seeing the face of a thirtysomething Caucasian man, with watery green eyes, blotchy skin, and a sligh mustache. His -your- hair is a dirty blonde, already receding at the top. Everything seemingly checking out, you step outside, and start walking to the stairs in the grimy, dimly lighted corridor, pretending to talk on your phone about something pseudo-significant. You wave to the guards, and they salute, standing aside to let you pass. The building's main stairs are beyond the door, leading to a number of apartments and small offices. The place is in disrepair, the plaster cracking on the walls, the steps smoothed by years of use, and only one in two lightbulbs are working. There are soldiers standing guard at every floor, but they don't seem to expect any trouble, saluting you with bored looks on their faces. The trip to the roof should have exhausted you, if you were truly Greg that is. Your enhanced muscles carry the weight without exertion, and soon you are greeted by the sight of the VTOL, swarmed by soldeirs and technicians, with helicopters botting the night sky.

"These things take time, sir. Any minute now." Another techie climbs out of the craft, an hurries over to him, handing a PDA over. "Everything checks out, the cloacking device is at 98%, and the tracker is completely undamaged. Shouldn't take us more than 3 hours to fit both onto another KP-21." "Okay, people, we've got to get them back to Central, I want an airlift prepared in 3 minutes!"Jacobs shouts, and seems to only notic you now, turns, growling "What took you so long? "Well, yeah, it kinda did. It ran off so I didn't get a good luck, and well, I was high. So, will you let Cath go now? We had a deal." He looks incredible happy as he says "Oh, sure, sure, we'll release her in a moment. But I have fantastic news for you!" An idea seems to come to him, and his mood dampens. "The good news is, you seem to have been attacked by an Infiltrator. Well, that's not exactly the good news, the thing is, you have abilities that you should not posess. A human form, and some combat abilities that you can summon!" The other men raise their guns at this, looking cautious, but the Doctor doesn't seem to notice."This makes you something called a Hunter, the best of both wordls really, superior in physical capabilities to any other bodysnatcher variant! The bad news is, that you shouldn't be one, and the bodysnatchers will try to kill you at virtually any cost." Megan is clearly non-plussed about this idea, raising her voice above the Doctor's. " I don't buy it.We stumble upon a Hunter, of which only two were ever ecorded, by complete accident? I don't fucking think so." She goes to one of the tables, and pulls out a chair to sit on. As she moves away, the line of sight she blocked reveals to you that the centipede isn't on the table anymore. It's behind Cath. It puonces on her neck, starting to bury itself inside her, and she screams in pain and surprise.

Okay. This is what we wanted - to make a scene.

Turn back to normal, while keeping up as many imperceptible defenses as possible, and comfort Catherine. Reassure her that we're still the Jack she knows - pick out a memory from Jack's mind, maybe the one of how he met her or some other sentimental BS, and describe it to her so that she knows we're really not who we are. Give her a hug or something if she's calmed down enough. That usually turns out pretty well in the movies.

You break the hug, and stand up as the Doctor kneels beside her, opening up the first-aid kit. With the three gunmen failing miserably at being non-threatening in the background, Megan sits down in the chair in front of the computer and starts swirling around on it lazily. "So, I guess you could say it all started when a young FBI agent, named Gabriel Jacobs met a woman named Anne Grey in 1993, in a small town in the middle of Buttfuck Nowhere, Arkansas. She claimed to have been attacked by aliens masquareding as humans, and showed remarkable powers. Sounds similar yet? So when he took it to his bosses, and they took it to their bosses, and so on and so on, the order, strangely enough was to provide a comfortable living for her, while trying to attain as much information from her. Now, this was rather strange, as no attempt was made to study her powers, I mean, none at all, while you'd think they'd get all slice happy, yeah? So, while all this is happening, they a prepping a military base with an insane amount of quarantine measures, and... Shit.Shitshitshitshitshit." On her last turn, she notices something on the monitor, and turns back towards you, her face bloodless and pale, her hands visibly shaking. Your delight doesn't last long, as she calls out in a thin voice "Doc? It looks like the critter managed to put out a distress call, or beacon before it got smashed. It summoned every available strike time of theirs in a 100 mile radius." The Doctor looks up from treating Catherine, visibly shaken, managing only to say "Oh dear.".

Story/plot-wise, it worked out okay. There seems to be a plot, and we are rather quickly introduced to it, rather being left to sandbox and then suddenly shoved/rail-roaded into the main plot while we are interested in doing something else.

I was just thinking of some non-combat uses of our abilities.

The high-powered wrist spike could serve as a quick way of opening locked doors. Place the spike against the lock and then shoot it forward, would be much quieter and more subtle than kicking it down.

The arm hook-blades should be very helpful for climbing and hooking on to things. The finger blades should help with climbing as well.

The napalm spray makes disposing of evidence fairly easy (if not exactly subtle), just spray the crime scene with napalm and leave the incriminating evidence to burn away.

I'm also curious as to what sort of drugs we can sythesise. We know a napalm substance, a sedative and a lethal toxin but it'd be very cool if we could synthesise something to make people more suggestible. It'd be much less suspicious if we could drug our victims in a way that they are still able to walk around but don't have the capacity to attempt escape (saves us being caught carrying drugged bodies through the streets). Similarly, a truth serum like sodium amytal or pentothol would make interrogation much easier (and yes, I know they're unreliable but it does make them more talkative which would be better than nothing). Sodium amytal's ability to induce 'false memories' would be excellent as a subtle way of covering our tracks (possibly convincing Catherine that she didn't see what she thinks she did). These sort of uses shouln't be that hard since they're basically just variations of a sedative.

Why not make very tiny spikes that we can use a lock picks? A strong flat spike that's like a tension wrench and some very thin long spikes and we'd be able to enter most doors.

Why not use a cocktail of powerful enzymes to break down biological evidence into goop? DNases, lipase, ect.

Why not improve our vision into the UV and IR ranges?
