Well consider this;

Ultramarine geneseed is most used because it has lasted thousands of years without the progression of defects/flaws.

One could argue that it is the "purest" geneseed, in relation to the one born of their primarch.

Now yesterday we rolled up 3 Important results:

1. New Generation (breeding out of "real" or perceived flaws)
2. Purity Above All (hates genetic deviation/instability in humanity and even other Space Marine Chapters)
3. Purity of Man (believe they are the perfect vision and true inheritors of the Emperor)

One could construe even a dislike of the Ultramarines? The "bred" out flaw might be seen as the displacement of the original geneseed from Roboute vs. the geneseed of the Emperor. In other words, removal of the third man (being Guilliman).

These guys could literally believe they are more pure then the Ultramarines, and that they are closer to the Emperor, then even the GK, putting themselves on level with the Custodes. Simply because of what they perceive was the flaw that was bred out. We could continue this further, making their terror tactics, more of them believing in a form of "Manifest Destiny".

Good point (I don't know too much about the DH specific rules/fluff). In that case, it seems that they operate in opposition of the AdMech's core beliefs of mechanical unity/superiority. I do think the doctor/apothecary angle works, but you would have to flesh out the biology branch of the AdMech (if it exists, more work if it doesnt) to keep the allies aspect. At some level you could rationalize the AdMech relationship as purely "best armor for best dudez" which is functional but generic, and usually that sort of behavior is seen in chapters that are more augmentation friendly (Iron Hands).

And remember folks, in both color scheme submissions, that's supposed to be a bright metallic gold, not yellow.

I think we should go with a more Golden Color armor rather than yellow. As far as the name I dont think we've managed to come up with anything better than Guardians Exemplar.

What were you thinking of as far as symbols? I'm sure there are some Aryan, Hindu or Norse symbol we could take.

The second one seems more yellow than gold, but I do understand that its due to the army painter. Just pointing out my preference in the post after yours.

Another suggestion would be to do them as White Armor, with Gold Trim and Blue symbol, considering that white, is somewhat a symbol of purity (eg. Brides' gown denoting virginity).

Symbol-wise, I suggest things such as:

Crosses
-Papal?
-Cross Fitchy?
-Cross of St. James?

Blood Drops? (Symbolizing genetic purity)

U's (Ultramarine Background? Although they might forsake this as it is a flaw)

Possibly a Silhouette of a Throne?

I suggest that they use white, but their armor is covered in so many golden accessories that they look white+gold.

I was gonna say Übermarines, since (i assume this info didnt change, havent read the thread since 2 days ago) you descened from ultras and youre genetic perfectionists : Übermarines similar to ultramarines, and reminiscent of the Übermensch idea to fit in with your quest for genetic perfection. Kinda sad how we cant use the banewolf.

Whirlwinds with the incendiary missiles counts as Gas Rockets, or for a certain points cost may replace them with a S-X Poison(wounds on a 2) AP4(5?3?) Ordinance 1, Large Blast or something.

Landraiders or Whirlwinds, preference?
