03/13/11(Sun)05:25 No.14225630>>14225522 69, 14, 41. Let's see, that's.... Robots Blood Types (vampires) Horror.
I can work with this. Mankind is gone. Long ago, the best and brightest took off for the stars, leaving their lesser brethren back on earth. they were never heard from again. Things on earth devolved quickly. advanced nano-tech weapons were used in various conflicts, eventually surging out of control and wiping out all organic life on Earth in waves of Black Goo. Errors in the design and programming of the intermixed goods gradually arose, leading to mechanical life arising and evolving in accelerated imitation of the now-extinct organic life which once populated the world. An entire silvery, metallic ecosystem, energy-collectors soaking up ambient power and storing it like plants, consumers breaking these down for power, predators hunting the consumers, etc.
Centuries passed, and now primitive villages and tribes of sentient robots inhabit the world, sometimes scavenging from the ruins of the Ancients, sometimes forging their own way in the world. But some mechs aren't satisfied with their forms. They have begun consuming other sentient mechs not just for power and sustenance, but also for parts. The cannibals strip their victims' corpses, integrating their components to make themselves stronger. Even worse are the parasitic echs classified as 'rustpires', assaulting mechs and leaching away the power from their cores, often infecting them with OS bugs and viruses that ake them easier to control in the long run or converting them into 'pires themselves.
There you go, medieval horror using robots and robot vampires/cannibals.Actually an old idea I had a long time ago, the dice were just kind enough to provide a good combo to resurrect it. |
