(Combining these.)
Grabbing a nearby piece of Earthshaker wreckage, you do the unexpected and bound over the artillery piece screaming litanies of hate.
The Mekboy, looking shocked, backpedals for a moment, and trips, stumbling over a dead gretchin.
Having closed the distance, you smash the shield with the metal sheet, clanging loudly, until it flickers for a moment, but it's a moment you need. You reach around the Ork and slap your last melta directly onto his chest.
The moment is almost comedic as the Mek looks down to realize his death is imminent.
Suddenly, the field springs back to life, eating your right arm's protective sheath of armor. You pull it back, hissing, and give the boy one last homerun swing, rolling him back to rest against yet another piece of wreckage.
Unfortunately, that's only about ten feet away.
With something akin to fear in your eyes, you turn to run just as the melta vaporizes the boy, throwing you against the barrel of the fourth Earthshaker, leaving a sizable dent and cracking your already damaged armor.
You stand amongst a bloody crater, half-dead, with three destroyed artillery pieces out of five. Not bad, considering you were already almost killed today.
Suddenly, the Sergeant bursts through the wreckage to your left, before spotting you and approaching.
"Been busy, I see, Lathemenos.Set these last charges with me."
As you help him set the charges, you hear Filos vox in the Thunderhawks to drop the Whirlwinds down.
Two minutes to spare.
"They'll arrive just in time," Filos confirms.
