So, we've got at least 6 missile/Flak batteries covering the entire route into the mission, several smaller trucks spread across the area, 2 which have AA on them for sure, others that may be carrying MANPAD carrying troops.

Ontop of that we got an unknown number of enemy fighters which i hope is nothing stronger than MiG-21s and if sukhoi gives us a break, MiG-19s. If we get through all of that, we then gotta deal with whatever remains of the luckyguns with whatever remains of our flight.

We have a plan though, lucky guns go first because they're the only ones capable of SEAD strikes, we follow them through and circle at the village and wait for the MiGs. After they've hit the radar we escort them back through the gap, and once their just about to enter it we start blowing the out of the sky, meaning those who survive the first volley must either continue on a straight path, or take a risk and fly into the enemy danger zones.

Overall, it's working really well. A fair few casualties, lots of new aircraft, customisation options resulting in a Scooter bomb-truck (more bombs than the Phantom can carry, aw hell yeah) and some nice RPing all around.

1- The Guns are required for sanitising the airspace from air defence. They have Thuds and Rhinos, the two fighters that created the entire concept of Wild Weasel and SEAD.

2- The Kattes are CAP only, lots of IR missiles plus a pair of Sparrow-ski's on the Mirage. No air-to-mud. They can try cannon running, but that's what Creek tried in Red Hawk... and that turned out soooooo well.

3- Kill bonuses still given for splashing enemy fighters, and chances are any bandits would try to tangle with the CAP just to get them out of position. So in the interest of not dying, any MiG's that are spotted are gonna be splashed hard and fast.

To be absolutely fair, Firestorm is more of a rigorous playtest. There's a lot of stuff that still needs to go into a final ruleset, but there's nothing like actual play to work the kinks out.
