Power beyond imagining had been promised to me, but until that day I had not been able to summon up even the most basic spell, and I feared I would be stuck in the shreep-pen for the rest of my life.

I pity poor Ivan, learning magic is mighty difficult at times.

In my haste I unleashed a scroll that not even Adan had been able to pierce - the magic of which brought a nearby skull back to an ill and nearly mindless half-life!

Banished from Adan's sight, I fled to the dungeons of his tower, where strange creatures not of this world were kept imprisoned. With promises of the power denied me by Adan, I gathered up the strange book which appeared from the shadows and brought it back to my hovel, along with my new servant.

Once there, I set at divining the book's secrets - and found the path of magic much easier than it had ever been.

Such power comes with a price, as I soon learned. Not only was my body drained from the sorcerous display, but the weather itself became violent and strange as the spell took root.

People keep saying that! Somehow I ended up with a bunch of Star Wars sets from the pre-prequel/ early prequel run, which included a lot of Scout Troopers that are apparently kind of rare (not Blacksmith's Sword rare, just not terribly common).

It's your standard broadsword, only black instead of gray. It's been re-issued, but the original run could only be found in this one set. I've got one because I had the blacksmith when it first came out (the sword has a few bite-marks on it by now :P )

Yep, told you it was rare as hell!

Since we're talking about it, I had to go dig out my black sword and show it off (told you it was well-chewed). It was always an "object of power" and the legendary Excalibur-type weapon of the Black Forestman (also a fairly rare figure, as it only appeared in two sets).

When I reclaimed my Legos from my parents' house, I found a lot of heads that had either faded completely or were too faded to see the faces very well, so I went at them with a marker.

Of course, the results look so horrifying up-close that I only use them as zombies, mutants, and other assorted malformed miscreants.
