You're falling for what seems like hours, but is actually only seconds. The feeling makes you pass out.
You wake up outside of a gate. On it is the title of the college you'll be attending.
The gate is open.
You'll note that in your pockets, there's 10 gold pieces, which is more than enough for you to get by for a little while.
As you walk up the path, you see many aspiring musicians and entertainers playing various instruments and talking and dancing, and juggling.

There's the building right in front of you, dorms, too. There are also people all around you. This looks like it could be fun.

In the morning, you wake up. Judging by the Sun's position, it's not ten yet. You get out of the tub and walk into the main room.
There's your roomate, with two naked half-elf chicks with him. Goddamnit.
You move down to your class...

It's a pretty chill class. You learn a little bit about rythm that you didn't know before.
When you leave the class and go outside, though, you see Bennigan with the two half-elf chicks. One of them is holding a lute, the other is holding an accordion.
The one with the accordion speaks first. "My name's Lisa. She's Lima. We're twins. I hear you're a mean Triangle player. Bennigan here's a bashful fuck, and cocky, but we're putting together a Newe Age group and need someone with talent like yours."

Your triangle vibrates... It appears to be reacting to the other instruments.
A series of at least 20 different floating blue triangles appears in front of you, each tuned to a different note.
The instrument is a light show by itself; You make an epic series of tings and pings which beautifully compliment the lute and support the accordion while rivaling the piano, creating a harmonious yet clashing sound the likes of which have never been seen before.

A crowd gathers, watching the incredible show. Clearly, they've never seen this instrument before...
Oh, shit. You'd better play extra good for these guys.

The piano screwed up, but you single-handedly play the piano part AND triangle part on the floating blue triangles until he comes back in.

Oh? What's this? She seems to be using magic.
Ollie uses her spell, Speak With Animals, to enhance her vocal abilities to the point where she personally sounds like a full alto and soprano cast, beautifully hitting every sequence of notes fitting to this tune.

Flowers spring forth to life, people are screaming with "WOO"s and "YEAH"s, and a giant triangle appears behind the entire band just as the song comes to a close. You chime it, and a burst shoots out across the land. All of the buildings look brand new, all of the greenery looks wonderful again, and everyone bursts into tears of joy.
Also, somewhere, a baby is born.

Lima looks at you and Ollie. "Holy shit. That was awesome...!" Ollie looks to you, "What's your name...? What's the name of the group?"

Seems to me the problem with this band is that there are all harmonic, rather than melodic instruments. I think we can ditch Brennigan, and find ourselves some melodic instrument (Trumpet, Sax, Flute). Out Magic Triangle seems to be able to keep a steady rhythm, and the lute and accordion can comp changes, where's out solo machine?

Strange, it seems the more time you spend with your triangle, the more powerful it gets.
The other instruments in the room move slightly as suddenly the room bursts into a starlike flurry of blue and yellow triangles. Consequently, the lights burn out from the power and the triangles are the only thing that light the room.
You find that your mind controls the triangles, and that you can control the movement of all of the triangles in a spinning motion, moving them along so that you can play any note you wish.
As you play your song, you hear the unplayed instruments around you reacting to the triangle, playing very softly along with the melody you're composing.
As you cease playing, a single yellow triangle floats to the small lantern beside the bed, and lights it once more as the triangles fade.
You now realize that she had been clinging softly to your arm while you played. And she still is.
