If you remember, FIRST he witnesses his parents dying and tries to fight crime just in a mask. It doesn't work very well, so THEN he adopts the bat motif to "strike fear in their hearts".

Cubone, especially the one from Lavender tower that just lost its mom to Team rocket, is a better STARTING pokemon for Wayne. The rest of his team later should be bat themed.

I think he should keep Cubone a Cubone. Smash that B button, Brucie! Pumped full of Iron, Carbos and other nutrients to make it the physical peak it can be, but still a Cubone.

If we're running this by Pokemon TV show rules, Starmie is a decent choice. It can use Water, Ice, Psychic and even Electric attacks (besides normal physical attacks) and (if TV show rules again) doesn't have a limit of 4 moves known at a time.

Oh man, I started playing this a couple weeks ago with a few fellow elegan/tg/entlemen. It's been fun as hell. Today we killed some Kakuna, once to a HOLY SHIT Thundershock crit, which did over 100 damage to a single kakuna, dispite only comming from a lv6 voltorb, then a Happiny used Metronome, and freaking did ROAR OF TIME, then slew 3 or 4 more, and the tree. Then we got chased by a bunch of beedrill, and a vespiqueen. Good times.
