As for the dislike your homebrew class is getting: Don't take it too hard. Take it as constructive criticism. Early threads for this game, before they even began getting archived, were basically just me getting stomped on by /tg/ saying what a stupid idea this all was. Don't scrap the thing; just carefully look at what they would want to see in your class. Granted, a lot of them seem to be saying they don't want the class at all, but the biggest thing other then that is that they want a new class to be able to define itself from the rest of the 9 classes we've already set up. Not an easy feat, but doable.
Also, just because certain people will never try it don't just throw it away. I'm not going to lie and say I think it's a great class idea, because it looks like it still needs a lot of tweaking for it to be its own unique set of tricks, but if you put time into it, you might as well post it in it's own thing in the future. Maybe someone will take a look. You never know, that person might be looking for whatever you make. Besides, the first I heard of your homebrew class was what, last week? It's not going to be good in that short of a time. If you really like it, follow through with it.
If I stopped just because the first few posts in my original threads were "Sounds stupid" or "Go back to /v/" this project wouldn't be where it is now. |
