It is my recommendation that we build a large atrium as soon as possible. I need the structure to start producing vegetables and fruits containing the vital nutrients our freeze dried rations lack.

In addition, we will begin producing plants to create medicines and ointments.

By my estimation, we must have this Atrium built within 2 weeks to avoid malnutrition amongst the settlers.

The atrium will need to be at least the size of 4 New York Blocks with multiple plantation decks to provide for 200 colonists.

Central command, it has come to my attention that the productivity of the Atrium currently under construction could be doubled or even tripled with the help of a dedicated Geneticist. I realize that central command is uneasy about drastic genetic modifications, however I assure you that the scientist's expertise will only be used to engineer plants that grow better in zero gravity. Such genetic modifications of food stuff has been well documented on Earth and proven to be safe.

    Personal letter:

Salazar, please deliver letter to me personally! I fear we may have been sloppy. In any case i have used my resources to request the geneticist you need. Please! Command thinks I am merely modifying fruits and vegetables.

As of right now you all are just like any other colonist, that means you get to help out in the work instead of standing around with your guns all day. I suggest the Barracks be placed next to the Landing Pad.

    OP's working method revealed!

    1) Prepare a bunch of characters and buildings you'll be using in the new village
    2) Make sure all of them make it to the village one way or another. Regard actual user suggestions with a grain of salt, especially ones you don't have prepared pictures for.
    3) Never delete anything in the village drawn so far. The only exception is moving whole blocks. Every human drawn is there forever.

"I've given Carson a batch of seeds that will grow a grape-like plant that should be relatively easy on everyone's stomachs. Eventually I'll introduce a more heavily modified version that you could replace everyone's diet with if you were so inclined."
He looks around, grabs a clipboard off a desk and hands it to Salazar. It's a form mostly related to soil content.
"Get that filled out by some geologist grunt so I know what kind of dirt I'm dealing with and I'll get you a plant."

The AI construct bows shallowly at the waist, eyes closed for a moment as if processing his request.

'Of course Doctor, I will take note of your preferences on future inquiries.', she looks about as if scanning the room.

'May I requisition for yourself a locking filing cabinet, Doctor? It will not tax the colony resources in its production and may be a boon to your organizational efforts and need for security."

    Dr. Salazar;

I regret to inform you that Maria left me, went to Südafrika to live with her sister. The infection took my right leg but I was outfitted with an excellent bio-mechanic prosthesis. I thank you for your support and look forward to working with you space-side. I plan on bringing a mobile laboratory, so if the colony has a prohibition on folded-space containers see if they'll make an exception.

OP here guys, this thread will continue tommorow night and the night after that, possibly for a week straight. this isnt like the other sessions, as there are no big monsters or stuff like that, this is all role play and reaction.
i hadnt built in the big fusion generators yet because they are too advanced for our little colony, they would power much more than we would need realisticly.

make sure to archive this thread so you can read over it before tommorow nights session starts.
Interesting vibe this time around with more and more colonists and researchers arriving to the base, i want to install a fleet command unit that has access to larger teck but i think thats for later on,.. theres no real set teck levels in this setting, I saw USN fleet command as controlling settlements through the use of specs for the fabrication units and it built from there.

Through all coms public and private. a gentle chime sounds, alerting all to a coming announcement:

'Tonight's meal shall be wheat noodles with reconstituted beef and soy based tomato sauce. This evenings meal will be served with a choice of rehydrated peach pie, or dehydrated Rocky road ice Cream.

'In the crew lounge, will be showings of the complete series of Lord of The Rings. The USN apologizes for the lack of modern movies, and hopes to update the media library in the next Data Burst."

"All personell are adviced to finish personal messages within the next 2 hours, in order to make the daily Data Burst to Fleet Com."

i thought i'd watch to see if the base manages to destroy itself somehow, i'm not in it to end the sessions they just inevitably self destruct once people reach a certain level within the world, i figured this would be alot different in this setting as it starts with the feeling of a colony working together to acheive the mandate goal of the bettermant of the race, but there are allready gaps begining to show with the military presence.. not my doing at all thats all you guys.haha, but hey i'l take it as far as it goes with this one.

the map will continue to expand and i'l keep making it interesting, i draw as much as possible, there is a little recycleing but thats just so you dont have to wait an hour for me to draw another buggy or a worker dude lifting a post.

It's known as Village Drawing RPG, dvf and Stratedgy Quest, if you search the page by titles.
Village seems to me the most common tag, but not all of the threads have it.

    I'm game.

I like to think that AIs in this setting deal with the mundane things like making sure the doors open and close, toiletries function properly and adding into rosters who does what fixing when something breaks.

Wanderer was built into the short range colony ship, and was a bit overwhelmed with the ammount of data.

Alyssa was a repurposed Warship AI that was part of a redirected Data burst instead of being wiped,

... at least how I see it.

20TH?! This damn thing is almost as old as I am, gods.

Also, of course, I understand that you inevitably have to use recycling, but as far as I can tell from the previous threads, by the end of a long session you become tired and miss overlapping things and leftovers and that.

Frankly, I'm more than willing to wait for one more day and see you in this threads at your best shape.

You make them far too fast. Give the frame changes some two seconds, and a long pause at the end.
