The basic premise: You started out as a generic creature with no voice, no skills, feats, or special abilities whatsoever, and every stat at 10.

Whenever you eat a creature you acquire one of its traits. Permanently. For the purpose of this quest, that means I'll give you a short list to choose from.

Following up a busy night of growth, you have continued to prey on the city's populace, devouring one by one the local two representatives of an organized crime ring--before the poison the last smeared on his crossbow bolts knocked you into unconsciousness.

Now you are awake, and hungry again. What is your plan of action?

You snap your eyes open and look around. You are not where you last remember, when the poison clouded your mind. You are lying in a bed, your equipment on a table nearby. Your shirt is off and a bandage is around your chest. A human girl of about age 18 has her back to you, busy tending to the contents of several glass jars.

"It IS a holy day of Pelor, I couldn't just leave you there even if you do look a bit odd. And... well... I'll be honest, I was hoping Pelor might help me out a bit for helping out a stranger. We can eat other, more mundane things in the meantime. We still have a shit Int, and eating an awesome wizard would probably help us out immensely in that regard.

If we want to be the Venus doppletrap noming courtesans is where the real skill/grace combo comes in.

Well the current legendary creature would be the freaking GATORS within the city's sewers.

If we could somehow find a way to retain surface appearance, being more human looking for instance, while still getting massive gnashing reptile upgrades no one would miss them.

Perhaps looking for the usual "Giant Gator in Basement" quest equivalents that hand out some meager gold in order to case the city?

Also she runs a courier service? Get ourselves slightly more human looking and we could use our incredible wall scaling abilities to pretty much have a cover job that allows us to get a better feel for the city.

Well, there's only about 2% of the populace who actively practices magic, and even fewer who manage to get beyond the basics--either because of lack of ability or lack of funds. We might want to do something about our scent however. Having the accumulated instincts of a score of city dwelling mammals might present the suggestion that we get bathed and manage to keep the stink of whatever we are from being traced back to us.

Nice part about this is if we do lose discipline and Nom someone we just eat a rat to alter our scent and throw off any ranger class trackers. At least that's the idea TempDM.

We look for students to Nom. Carousing blockheads from whatever trades they have going on in this city. also it might aid us in looking even more human.

After all we're Cha 14, while that doesn't impart any major bonuses it's 4 more points than strictly average. Might have been some of that 'Ron Pearlman magic' that had mage-girl pick us up off the street than any sort of Pelorian guilt.

Also if we can throw our Harlot's voice to make it seem as if he's needed elsewhere.

"Oi you! Stop dozing and get to work"

Then knock him out, tie him up and eat the horse.

Use Harlot's voice again "Next time little man don't doze so soundly"

Plan being we use kid's voice around Mage-girl and Harlot's on victims we don't need to immediately kill.

I'll post these suggestions at the start of next session.

Anything else needs saying before I go? Otherwise, I'll check the archived thread. Hope everyone's having fun, I know I am.

If it's a case of "You get 1 power" and we can choose then yeah, that'd be awesome - normally warlocks suck balls, but this quest suits them perfectly.

The first level invocations all have a use, Summon Swarm is the allkiller, Dark Ones Luck, Miasmic Cloud and Entropic Ward are the defense and the others have varying usefulness - Beguiling Influence is a +6 to Diplo, Intimidate and Bluff.

Hmm, yeah - let's make finding Warlocks a priority. Wizards are a good place to start - the right magic can find them and Adventurer taverns will have them (there's not much else for them to do, other than rock out as diplomats)

    They also have DR.

Other good things, with useful low level bonuses :
Dread Necromancer (DR 2/magical blunt) and awesome Familiar (Ghostly Visage)
    Beguiler: Various
Duskblade: Once we have some spells for it.
    Factotum.
    Barbarians - move speed boost.
    Rogue - Evasion, SA, UMD.
Hexblade - Dark Familiar, Arcane Resistance, Mettle.
    Ninja: Ki powers.
Psions etc: Powers that are convenient, flexible and somewhat subtle.
Troll - Regeneration - too tough for us, unless lucky + choker'd up.
Choker - extra move action, chokers are pretty tough one-on-one but is SUPAR IMPORTANT when when can take it, they're only CR 2 - which means that we should wait for a little while. They hang underground as well - if we can tak alligators, then we can take a choker.

We may want to pick up some Natural Armor, too. Our AC is pretty low. Plenty of animals have Natural Armor.

Increasing our speed further would be more efficient. +6 to jump per +10 speed.

But he said last thread that he does Terminator Quest too, and that's been on Mondays usually.
