Alright, this was posted in a thread earlier. An awesome chart in its own right, but let's see some /tg/ creativity in action.

Either two posts, or a thousand-sided die or two. Get your two classes and combine them, then justify it with both lore/fluff and mechanics.

Or just keep up the rollspamming and see what you get, doesn't matter.

The Duck is, evidently, a black mage/samurai.
    -----------------
Samurai are powerful warriors. Bushido is a powerful, overriding philosophy. Death before dishonor. It is, in some ways, a beautiful thing.

But some of us... some of us are not willing to stick to that code. There is power in belief. There is also power in pragmatism. Some problems can be solved with swords and honor... others just really need lots and lots of fire.

I believe that at this point, you can guess which of those philosophies my clan ascribes to.

I am a Black Samurai, of the Scorpion Clan. I am Duck.

    More to come.

Warrior Monk? It couldn't get any easier than that!

The order of templars is one organized into strike tiers. Initiates are sent to The School of Bone in which they learn the ways of unarmed combat and bodily discipline as well as schooling in non-combat arts such as literacy and meditation. Those that excell are then selected to move onto the next level, The School of Steel in which they combine the strength of body and mind gained in the school of Bone with martial training in a variety of weapons. They are taught a style that treats all weapons as extensions of the body and focuses on no one class of weapon. Finally the select few that make it to this exalted level are taken to the final school The School of Unity in which both teachings are combined to make a perfect warrior instilled with the knowledge of right and wrong the strength to fight for the former.

Magitek Knight + Mercenary... AWESOME! So basically I was infused with magic but it's weak, I can boost the magic by stealing it from other mages. So basically I'm a mage hunter, sent in to destroy mages whom are considered too dangerous. This is done by keeping in melee range, using my magic to boost my attacks. Then when the mage gets tired, rip their magic from them and use it against them.

    Magictech beastmaster? So... Zoids?

    Ok, let's go with that.

Certain members of the Magitech knights have a certain reverence for the power of nature despite their fascination with technology. These two interests mix well though, and so they make their magitech mounts in the images of lions, bears and other deadly predators. The forms they choose are as diverse as the animal kingdom itself, but they are often outcastes from mainstream magitech circles and eschew cities to wander the wilderness, only returning for components and fuel when necessary.

Black mage paladin? Oh this is interesting.

It has been said that he who fights monsters should be careful not to become one himself. Those who follow the path of the Sin Eaters forgo such a code, and take up the very powers that they fight against for the greater good. These souls start their lives as paladins, but in time grow jaded and jealous of the power wielded by their enemies that can cut them down so easily. So these intrepid few take on rigorous mental training to master the dark arts and not be mastered by them at the same time. In the end they emerge a perfect combination of the holy and unholy, the warrior and the mage, the divine and the arcane. Those lucky enough to survive and not be driven mad quickly put these talents to good use, killing heretics and demons with access to a range of abilities that would be impossible to master without their legendary determination.

Great stuff so far guys! I'd made some rolls at the end of the last thread and came up with the paradoxical combination of Thief/White Mage.

I've come up with "Hadjuk." After all, not all nimble-footed adventurers are scumbags who prey upon the weak with knives in dark alleys. Some simply fight against a cruel and corrupt system to protect its most downtrodden; and some have taken both the fighting and protection to their most brilliant and subtle. Robin Hood with heals, barriers, and holy. Let us drink ourselves to stupor on pilfered wine and cleanse our hangovers come the morning!

Red Rune Knights eat other casters for breakfast. Although they are not extremely talented in any specific magic tree, they have enough knowledge of each tree to aid them in most situations. They are capable of dishing out damaging spells while healing allies, aswell as buffing them with special abilities.

They have the ability to absorb the magic of enemy casters, allowing them to use the spell to heal themselves, aswell as protect other party members by drawing the magic to themselves.

Trained in combat, the Red Rune Knights may also protect others through physical means.
They are a force to be reckoned with.

    >Archer + Dark Knight

    Not a bad combo.

The Nightbow is a warrior of awesome skill, capable of holding his own in melee, but most fearsome when holding a bow. A Nightbow has no need for arrows; he channels his malice and cruelty into his bowstring and unleashes the string to send a blast of his corrupt life force at his target.

Whereas a mere Dark Knight sends a wave of this same energy at his foes, the Nightbow's energy bolt is focused upon a single target and can inflict status effects by striking individual parts of the body. The most feared effect occurs when his energy bolt strikes the center of the target's heart, causing instant death.

    ___________
The Dark Mender knows the importance of vitality and has taken it upon him or herself to keep their allies mended... and their foes drained. After all, all that positive energy must come from somewhere, and if it comes at the expense of enemies, the better. The Dark Mender will draw the life from a foe with the flick of a wrist and send it cascading to his or her allies with another; some say they even have the ability to steal positive magic charges from their foes to bestow upon their allies.

    Rocket Knights!
Rocket Knights are a flamboyant brigade of mercenaries, originally founded not as a military organization, but as an economic endeavor, entreating the Alchemist's Guild with a notoriously rowdy band of barbaric mercenaries who did not believe in the usefulness of science! After a long series of trial and error, the Rocket Knights came to be.

Your average Rocket Knight is covered in heavy metal armor, each piece made larger with reinforcements and manuevering fins, with either one massive rocket or a cluster of smaller rockets strapped to his back. This gives the Rocket Knight his most notable ability, the power to fly through the air, the chemical rocket screaming and roaring as the warrior sails through the air. And while the barbarians were originally content with just wielding an axe as they shot through the air, they fell in love with the array of guns that the Alchemists came up with.

Now the Rocket Knights walk to the battlefield with a wide variety of arms. Massive over-the-shoulder bazookas that can decimate a score of men, long barrelled rifles that snipe from the air, or dozens of pistols, rumors even tell of a new weapon design that once fired, begins launching bullet after bullet after bullet, not stopping until the Knight has landed again.

Now the Knights are famed and feared mercenaries, who strike fear into the hearts of their foes with fire and death, screaming through the air, raining fire and suffering from the skies, before landing and wading into their foes, elite shock troops that shatter entire armies!

    >Samurai + Geomancer

The Kamimusha! (Would a weeaboo tell me if I'm totally butchering the language here? The intended meaning is "Warrior of the Kami.")

The Kamimusha is a samurai whose training with his elder Kamimusha has placed him in an intimate relationship with the world around him. He senses the kami, the spirits of the living earth and water and sky around him, and they have taken the place of a shogun in his life. He is utterly devoted to protecting the purity and beauty of the world around him, and seeks to destroy grossly unnatural things such as magitek and the undead when they appear in the places of pristine glory that he protects.

Unlike a Samurai and his katana, the Kamimusha uses a combination of wakizashi (short sword) and shield through which he channels the offensive and defensive abilities of the kami around him. Depending upon the land type he stands upon, a Kamimusha may be as frail as a blade of grass but strike with the force of a hurricane, or he may be as slow as mud and as durable as steel. In addition, each land type offers a unique special power, typically a ranged magical attack of some kind.

In time, the Kamimusha becomes one with different land types and may entwine his own spirit with those of kami to gain whichever set of powers he needs for a particular battle.

Kamimusha also command abilities that allow them to disable and destroy magitek and the undead with greater ease, and they become more adept with these abilities as they destroy these unnatural, disruptive things. The nearest comparable technique would be the Dragon's Crest technique taught amongst the Dragoons.

    Necromancer/Mercenary: The Overlord

The overlords are terrifying warriors. They're more than competent fighters in their own right, and are able to wield massive swords in one hand. More than this, though, overlords are charismatic and wise, making excellent leaders and strategists. Not only can an overlord convince men to march to their deaths, the most powerful overlords can even convince these men to come back from the dead for another go.

    >Viking + Archer

The roller has a serious hard-on for giving me Archers. Unfortunately, I've never really liked archery-focused characters. I'm going to roll with the "ranged attack" theme, however...

The Stormwarrior is a fearsome foe to behold, a fierce man of mighty thews who bedecks himself in weapons, preferably tremendous axes, greatswords, and mauls. As soon as he has dealt with the enemies next to him, slicing them apart with great arcing blows, he hurls his weapon away with the strength and fury of a gale force wind, the weapon striking with the power of thunder and lightning.

A Stormwarrior can throw any weapon, though he would prefer to throw the largest, most brutal weapon he can get his hands upon. A weapon heaved in this manner strikes the enemy and calls a blast of lightning to the spot for more damage, possibly blinding and deafening the target, as well.

The weapon is annihilated by the crash of lightning, but a Stormwarrior finds that this is often worth the sacrifice, as the lightning and thunder effects are more powerful depending upon how damaging the thrown weapon was.

    A Viking Ninja, eh?

The Viking clan Skuggaferoast is not well-liked among their brethren. "We Vikings are proud and ferocious! We do not skulk in shadows and attack from behind, we rush out in open fields and meet our enemies face-to-face!"

But the Skuggaferoast ignore their conspicuous brother clans. They paint their leather armor and axes black as night. True to their namesake, they rely on massive axes as main weapons, when battle forces them in melee; they prefer, however, to let loose with their smaller bearded axes and deal with enemies from a distance. If the environment does not allow such methods of "cowardice," as their other Viking brethren call it, they hide in the shadows until their prey nears...and then they pounce, cleaving all in their way with their massive axes.

This clan tends to eschew the lightning magics their other clans enjoy, since it is not conducive to stealth.

Bonuses to hide and for ranged axe-throwing. Bonus to initiative if they have not been spotted before combat.

Penalties (to the point of making it useless) to lightning magics. Wearing anything heavier than leather armor removes all stealth-based bonuses (it's hard to be stealthy if you're clanking around in plate armor).

    That's the best I got.

    Cannoneer / Beastmaster.

Oh, God. /an/ is going to hate me for this.

The Tiergrenata is among the most hated of all the world's warriors. The Tiergrenata understand this. Some might even enjoy the infamy.

Tiergrenata do not often use their cannons, although certain members are known to lead large caravans of beasts of burden to cart around cannons. No, the main method of warfare of the Tiergrenata is far more sinister than a typical cannon.

Tiergrenata, who almost always lead large contingents of birds, rodents, and other small creatures, send their underlings out in hordes. Warriors initially do not treat these as threats; what can a rat do to a mighty fighter? This often leads to their downfall. For on each of these tiny animals, the Tiergrenata has placed an explosive on a timer. Warriors who slog through the sea of rodents find themselves in the midst of a massive explosion.

Some rumors tell of Tiergrenata who use smaller amounts of massive animals with incredibly large payloads, but a cost-benefit analysis would show that large amounts of tiny animals make for better explosions than a few elephants.

Bonuses to bluff and control animal.

Massive penalties to interactions with other Beastmasters, Dragoons, and anyone who loves or works with animals on a regular basis.

    >Rune Knight + Geomancer

The Earthblade is a master of the four elements; his training concludes when he crafts the runic blade that will accompany him in battle. Crafted from the hard metal given up by the earth, forged in seething flames fueled by the breath of the air, and tempered in the coldest of waters, the Earthblade gives a portion of his spirit to his sword, making it a part of himself and marrying himself to the elemental power of the world around him.

Driving his runic blade into the ground, the Earthblade creates an area around him where the power of the elements is magnified many times over. Water remains liquid but freezes flesh at a mere touch, wind throws everything away, the sun burns with the intensity of an inferno, and the ground opens up and devours those who stand upon it.

However, to achieve these effects, the Earthblade must first imbue his sword with those elemental powers; he has a limited ability to cast spells related to earth, wind, fire, and water to do this for himself, but he is more likely to gain the power he needs by absorbing the spells of others.

    _____
Not all paladins worship the light or the gods that exude it. Some have turned their gaze downwards to the most nurturing, protective force of all. The Conservators have formed a pact with the terrain itself, often swearing fealty to a particular territory or domain. Where god's heavenly thunder and righteous swords once struck down foes the Conservator calls up rocky crags from below to crush his foes. More impressively, he may beg the earth to lend its aid to his allies, parrying blows sent their way with rocky barricades.

A caster who does not know is being possessed will feedback when trying to target the Death Judge. Blows from a sword will sear the bearer back. Screams inside the head of the victim will haunt and panic the poor offenders. Every encounter with a Death Judge is a dark fate of horror and gore from a being encased in enchanted and cursed equipment.

    White mage/summoner

The Light Bringer is a blessed warrior, capable of summoning angels, devas, even full choirs from the high heavens who's .righteous tunes inspire wrath, bolster courage, even miracoulously mend wounds. Only called upon in the direst of times as their abilities are rare and potent these glorious warriors can be seen leading forces into battle supported by a tide of terrible and mighty beings from the higher planes, hell bent on the utter annihilation of any and all evil-doers or whom so ever would contest the divine authority of a Light Bringer.
Do not be fooled by their halos and lofty ideals, zeal can turn to lust, courage into insanity, determination into stagnation, wrath into hate, and many other pitfalls capable of casting a Light Bringer down into a pit of depression and self-loathing that few ever recover from.
These fallen Light Bringers give rise to mythic Demon Warriors who instead of calling upon the forces of the high heavens, arm themselves in the fel energies of lower realms, summoning terrible hordes to plauge the world, and with unholy magics corrupting the flesh of man, beast, and nature spreading poison, disease, and corruption while exhorting in excess. They host terrible orgies where cannabalism, hedonism, and abuse of everyone and everthing imaginable takes place. These foul extraganzas can last for months corroding the earth and forming a place where demons may find an easier gateway to cross over.
So, a Light Bringer must always uphold their ideals, but keep their humanity close to their heart and never forget what they can become. Lest they become the very thing they live to fight.

    Mime/Gunner - now THERE'S an odd one!
Okay, Mime - any equipment. Cool. Copy actions... nyarg... not sure here...

    WAIT! I've got it!

    SURESHOT

Snipers are good. They can hit just about anything, from anywhere.

I'm what happens when a sniper finally gets serious. I know how to squeeze more life out of every shot than a sniper ever would. They shoot from a half a mile off and get the hits each time. Me? I'm running between your legs, hardly looking at what I'm doing... and I'm still hitting each time.

    You know why?

It's simple. Once you've done something once, you can do it again, right? That's it. I hit a place once, and I'll never miss it. I know what it feels like to hit that place.

Angles? Oh, don't toss that "physics" shite at me. We live in a world where energy and matter can be altered in any way imaginable with a few mumblings and gestures. Physics is a damnable lie! And time is cubic!

    -----

    MECHANICS

SURESHOT - Auto-hit any opponent you have hit with a normal attack. If your last attack was a crit, Sureshot will auto-crit. Sureshot deals 2/3 standard damage.

    HAMSTRING - Reduce opponent's speed/dodge with a successful hit.

EYE BURST - Blind opponent with successful hit.

    KILLING SHOT - Death attack.

BLISTERING FIRE - Multiple-shot attack that auto-hits any opponent that has already been hit (a la Sureshot). Each hit deals 1/2 damage; after the first hit, there is a 95% chance that there will be a second, an 85% chance of a third, and so on. Once the attack ends, the equipped gun breaks and a new gun must be equipped.

    Mime/Rune Knight, eh...?

    MIRROR MIME

I am the best friend of any army that is going up against a spellcaster.

Bring me your fireballs, your lightning bolts, your Ultima. Do you know what will happen to them?

They will be brought back upon your heads.

I am the last wall of defense against your arcana. I am the judgement for your desecration of the natural.

    I am the Mirror.

    ----
As always, later entries use more XP.

MIRROR DANCE - The Mirror Mime absorbs a spell cast upon him, and immediately casts it back at a target of his choosing.

REFRACTION - As Mirror Dance, but the mime may "store" the spell for later use. Only one spell may be stored this way. Casting a spell stored by Refraction does not take up an action, but the Mirror Mime cannot cast a spell this way if he moved this turn.

KALEIDOSCOPE - As Refraction, but more spells may be held this way, up to 4.

WARPED REFLECTION - As Mirror Dance, but the spell does triple damage to the one who cast it.

HALL OF MIRRORS - As Mirror Dance, but the spell is cast back three times at three targets.

    Viking Paladin....really...

    ok

Viktor Vugfusson, a unique and conflicted man, while his brothers urge him to pillage and loot, Viktor will sail out with them and instead of pillaging and looting the innocent villagers, he will fight off his brothers in arms. Being forbidden from using a terrible brutal weapon such as an axe, Viktor took two longswords, strapped them hilt to hilt on the end of an axe haft, and uses the swords like a glorified pickaxe. Brutal, but cunning, refusing to ruin his viking heritage with a shield, viktor has mastered the art of parrying with his double sword axe blade. Capable of protecting 6 villagers at the same time from any number of vikings, viktors wide swings and rapid parrys spark jolts of tremendous energy electocuting anyone so foolish as to cross blades with him. With enough fervor, Viktor can call down a bolt from the sky which will strike his upraised double sword axe blade and enrage him with a righteous wrath, so that he can protect 15 innocent villagers at once from the predations of his viking bretheren. When the vikings do go to war however, they have Viktor lead the main assault his cacophanous strikes sundering sword, shield, and skin alike, cutting swathes through the viking enemies.

    ________________
In the aftermath of Ragnarok, the giants, the gods, and man made their final stands against each other. But in the end, the new world tree stood in man's domain. And to make sure man took their rightful place, a new breed of warrior was born... the Godridder.

Bearing blades sculpted from stone at the world's end, the ashen wood from the embers of the world tree, and the teeth of the Jormungar itself, these fearsome warriors were living warships- each clad in ashwood and iron, bolted to their very skin... and imbued with the essence of the fallen gods. Thor's crackling hammers of frost and lightning appear and are thrown at their call, axes made of Surtr's lava form from dragonshead figureheads upon their vambraces... and the shields and sails upon their shoulders make them a nigh-indestructable force that seems to move with the wind itself. All manner of beast and god bowed to their will before... they will serve them just as well in death.

Monk + Paladin. Okay here it goes...

A man of the east, skilled in hand to hand combat, was ambushed by the Three Kingdoms and banished, sent to the west. He journeyed long and hard, and eventually the teachings of enlightenment brought him towards the light, and a new path. One that uses weapons but does not kill. One who protects. Taking the light in his hand, he combined his physcial skills with his new found holy power and became who he was.

    Mime/Red Mage, lets see...

The Blue Spy, an infamously skilled infiltrator, specializing in entering the ranks of the enemy's military organizations. This unit mimics the behavoirs and looks of enemy classes, using surprisingly complicated magic to emulate that of enemy casters and support herself in the field of battle. With a wide array of offensive, defensive, support, and utility spells at her availability the Blue Spy is extremely adaptable, capable of taking out even strong targets with a backstab and Firaga when they're occupied with other tasks. Though machinists devices can sometimes see through their disguises, the machinists themselves are often lead by the nose by these cunning characters some even go so far as to say "A machinist's best friend is often their worst enemy." A cruel and sad truth that happens all too often, a battlefield has no room for soft hearts and Blue Spys will be glad to remove them.

    Viking Necromancer. Okay...

A viking with strong willpower but a weak mind becomes the bearer of a phylactery housing a lich (of course). He and the lich's personalities eventually mesh (each has a taste for bloodshed). The viking essentially tears apart his enemies, subconsciously building an army of rotting followers, while he himself grows progressively more fragile (but more powerful).

Summon undead allies to help you rip and tear your enemies apart, swamp the survivors with an mob of half-zombies of friends they knew. Laugh as you tear their still living heart, while head bashing the poor sucker over and over, using the heart to create a blood golem to do your bidding.

The Hanging Judge. No matter what you do, don't ever meet this judge. He wanders the country side Judging all who come to him for judgment. What can be so bad? His judging style is random, as is his sentences. The Hanging Judge is called that because you're left hanging in suspense as the dice roll, the deck shuffles, or the slot machine rolls. No matter the crime, he always takes the gamble.

Like this one poor fellow, he was brought to the judge for stealing an apple. The Hanging Judge rolled a D% dice, and handed out the sentence of Drawn, Hang, and Quartered. Or you can be a lucky bastard like this one known murderer, who was sentenced innocent by a slot machine. Which handed out gil, which he used to buy a new weapon.

    So... Ya feeling lucky, punk?

    A Geomancer Mercenary? Interesting.

These mercenaries respect and care for nature, and in return, nature assists them when they call for it.

Of course, one slash of their mighty great swords, wielded in one hand as if it were a regular sword, is usually enough to stop any opposition to them.

If neither nature nor their swords is enough, they can also draw upon their enemy's magic, storing it for future use, or using it against them on the spot.

Usually, a part of their payment is made towards preserving nature. Most people tend to call them "tree hugging nancy boys" for this. Most of those people have been cleaved in twain by great swords, or choked to death by plants.
