>Begin running simulations against the suit Bandit was in, and adjust its power levels accordingly.
The Efreet arrives as planned, you go to the hanger to talk to Ookawara there about pimping it out. You find that Zolomon is already there talking with Ookawara.
"Look, we can't put a giant spiked ball on the end of your heat rod! The things attatched to your forearm!"
"Well, how about just making me a ball on a retracting line of some kind? I could store it on the weapons pod or something!"
"I have seen the footage of you fighting that thing you know! There's a reason the thing had built in thrusters!... Look, I'll ask around, maybe there's some old funny project with something similar, okay?"
"Thanks man! That'd be great."
You walk past Zolomon as he leaves, you both wave at each other as you pass.
"What do YOU want?" Ookawara asks.
"About the Efreet, is there anyway we can get the hoverjets up to Dom standard?"
"Not without completely replacing the legs, which would bugger the mobility up. The backpack thrusters pushing a fair bit of power, and whilst we could probably find a way to boost the output, we don't have decent enough heat shielding to make any kind of use for it without melting the vents. Remember back in the Zaku, when you used to to that all the time with your unplanned HANO drops onto the enemy?"
"That was only unplanned a couple of times! So, what about some kind of built in weapons?"
"Not a clue, I'll have a look though, some of the old Desert Zaku's wrist vulcans might work. Head Vulcans are going to be out though. Anything more involved than that would involve a weeks works or worse."
"Well, tell me if you come up with anything."
In the meantime, having told the unit about the new enemy mobile suit, everyone's on edge. You've got them practicing Anti-MS drills, with Ramirez using old El Muerto Grande. |
