In fact, they were once ordinary children until the military requisitioned them for combat usage. Only ideas for the most part, Lots of permanent features and much 'horrible' role play. Possibly some minor variable container use or allowing 'stock' pieces to be traded around as equipment.

Also I'm having the idea of highly disposable bodies but having a central core (brain pan is reinforced ghost in the shell thing) that needs to be scavenged to bring them back so they could be reinstalled in a new body. Take a -1 mental based drawback or increase any current drawback by one point for no gained points. Retire the character when they can no longer function as a weapon of war. Possibly allow complete model changes that is basically changing up the power set.

I return to the base and am directed to a garage by an officer with a concerned look on his face. I am not sure why they always have that look when I return with battle damage. My right armament and organic manipulator was destroyed by the new fragment grenades developed by the enemy.

I pull into the garage and am directed and strip off my armaments. After visually confirming that my organic right manipulator was indeed as damaged as my nervous system reported I inserted the IV drip into the generally untouched portion to save the Engineer prep time.

I wait a few minutes as a new engineer comes over to examine me. He does strange things such as tell me how horrible it must hurt and how I am a good girl as he looks over the wound. He says all this in a way I am familiar with, the only description that I process to express what it could be is 'soft'. He makes a strange face while telling me that my right organic manipulator will have to be replaced, explaining a process I have gone through uniformed at least a 5 times before.

He then unexpectedly moves closer and rests his own organic manipulator on my head and moves it back and forth saying how it must be tough and how I am a good girl for putting up with it. My nervous system reported a strange sensation from this, not damage or general tactile sensation but something different. My vascular system also malfunctioned making my face feel warm. He then left to diagnose another infantry unit. For some unknown reason I wanted him to be the one to preform the post repair operation on me.
