American planes require CLEAN airfields, requiring FOD (foreign object damage) walks every morning to make sure nothing can get sucked up into the very delicate engines.

    Can't let you do that.

You can take 3 Battalion Assets (or special assets for MEA) per 1,000 points. Per platoon, I should say.

That means 3 strikes at most. 50 pts for artillery, +50 points to turn it into Precision (which is worse because you have to get your 2" template on the target instead of a 6", but it can potentially destroy tanks.

I'm trying to make a good German Heer list but those mofos have weird Fire Team setups. Also, the transport rules don't help. See below.

The book mentions above that a squad is typically 10 men. This Jaegar squad is indeed 10 men.

The Marder and Puma can each only carry up to 6 infantry.

What's the deal? (Other lists are even worse, implying you can get 3 Humvees for the price of 1, and etc. This goes on through the whole Army List section.)

I would assume if you buy a Transport for a Jaeger squad some unlucky SOBs need to walk. This doesn't bother me too much as they aren't mechanized troops, for those buy panzergrenadiers. Right. Probably. This isn't GW we're talking about -- a simple review of their rulebook should tell the company "hey, this is ambiguous, let's clean it up."

This is a "misprint" that continues down the entire army list, for all factions' units with transport options. The book also has a few other misprints around, but they can be forgiven. This...this just confuses things up.

I think the problem here is that this isn't a misprint in the sense of a word being missing, but rather in the sense that the developers didn't realize clarification would be necessary. To them and their playtesters it was probably an of course all transports are priced individually as that is what we have always done.
This is something that I have run into with other rules as well, and I try to keep an eye on this anytime I write up gaming material.

Generally they are longer than in most games. While there are some rudimentary close combat rules, BF evo is all about long range shootan.

IIRC m-16 and most assault rifles has 24' range, SAWs 30' , while sniper rifles or tank guns can shoot people from outside the fucking table (50-70 inch range). Generally speaking best way to play evo is built-up urban table, because generally speaking, in most cases - if you can see it, its in range.

Actually, some people know the diffrence, dear sir.

AK-47 is the orginal AK. AKM is modified verison, with some slight diffrences make mass production easier.

And generally speaking in hands of terrorists you have a fuckton of versions, because every nation of eastern bloc manufactured their own version.

You have hungarian ADMs, iraqui Tabuks, chinese Type-56, east german MPI-KM, polish KBK AK, romainain AI / AIM, bulgarian AKK etc, etc.

AK-47 may not be entirely correct, but its a good blanket designation for all kalshnokov based rifles that fire 7.62x29 round.

Most Assault rifles have a 20" range, not 24". When you fire, you designate an enemy model (or structure) as the center of a "Fire Zone." This fire zone is typically 3" long but weapons with the Auto trait (any automatic weapon, including your average assault rifle) increase it to 6". Anything in that circle can potentially be hit.

When you roll to attack, your successful dice are placed against the unit(s, since you can split fire zones for a damage penalty) you shot at in a front-to-back order from the facing of your firing unit, kind of like Epic.

Here's the US Army Armoury. The Apache uses these CRV7 rockets that aren't on this list, but are on the British Army list...but they have precisely the same stats at the Hydra rocket. In fact, a number of weapons are very similar in this game.

Clarifying: Fire Zone is a circle 3" in radius, 6" for weapons with the Auto Trait. The book specifically mentions this allows weapons to effectively fire 3" longer than their listed range.

About reactions: I haven't seen anything about reactions being said here for drones, or in the reaction section of the book. The TALON entry says it can take no actions at all unless its operators use a Ready action first.

...I'm not 100% sure but if I were a judge I would rule that TALONs could only take a Reaction if they counted as Readied, i.e. their operators used a Ready action but didn't use it up by moving or shooting the TALON.

Otherwise, so you can be sure what they mean here, the Operator takes his two actions first. A Ready action will allow the TALON to take a Move or Shoot action after the Operator(s) are done.

The book dos not have any dedicated ministures. But 28mm scale is bit too big. Use 20mm ( 1/72) scale for best effect.

Good choice are britannia and liberation miniatures, or 1/72 scale aermy men (caesar mianiatures make great modern US and various durkas, revell makes decent 90s era US, some brits, and fuckton of modern bundeswehr, Orion makes chechens and russkies). As for vehicles, everybody makes 1/72 stuff. Both model kits and prepaints are avaiable of almost everything.

FoW is one of my favorites. The rules are so much simpler and make much more sence than 40k.

Also it's far more tactical. You need to think more about where you are moving and what you are doing.

In 40k it's all just about getting into assault asap.
