You are a fairy princess. You live deep underground (journey to the center of the earth esque) in a mary sue topia ten times prettier then whatever avatar could dish out. The place houses all manner of fay creatures and houses powerful magic. The land is protected by your mother, the queen, and 7 powerful dragons who are all of good alignment. nicknamed sleepy, grumpy, dopey, doc, sneezy, bashful, and happy for convenience sake.

However, even though your world provides everyone with whatever they could possibly want, including infinite magical items, the dragons seek constant additions to their hoards for tribute as was the agreement long ago. And so, adventures are sent out. it isn't dangerous, for if they meet their end, they simply remanifest here. Seeking this as your oppurtunity, you wish to explore the rest of the world and go adventuring.

Because of who you are, you are the equivalent of a 20th level druid/sorcerer/psion with about 10 billion gold worth of magic items. Just one stipulation. You must go with a partner.

    Your options include
    - the smart and loveable royal bard, (fairy) who although weak and fairly useless, is a jack of all trades and could easily be manipulated to being your little bitch. (possible love interest)
    - Bad ass leprachaun. Enough scars and war stories to fill a library. powerful, but will take a large amount of hoard for himself and will usually take the route that would be seen in a ramo film.

Psuedo-dragon. You may take a psuedo dragon who will be armored and rideable and be as powerful as powerful as a wyrmling prismatic dragon. downside side is that it is very capricious.

Artifact level Psicrystal. has the ability to shape itself into astral constructs, however, it as a very dull and boring personality and must be prompted to create anything useful.

caught between two very powerful urges you reach a frantic plight for not being able to decide who you want to take more.

then in an ephiphany, you remember that you are the princess. After pleading to your mother, you are allowed to take both the bard and the dragon.

Now all you have to do is convince them, and that usually involves a Pact, extortion, or making them lose a bet to you in a fay game.

    Dragons will only accept Pacts.

but you have free reign with the bard.

Decide how you will get both on your side.

The Bard is fairly your age. An avid explorer and adventurer who has seen many parts of the world already. Even though is the equivalent of a 20th level bard with billions of magic items (most of them ridiculously useless) is no where near your equal. But, the bard can sing and dance like no other. Cooking, cleaning, painting, music, poetry, arts, you name it, the bard is a master of it. The bard also speaks only in ryhme.

Only has a few weaknesses in this area as you see them.

    1. Never likes to out perform anyone who is performing along side of the bard.
    2. if in a contest, sometimes likes to lose to improve the ego of the other person, unless it is a serious contest, in which case he will win, but visibly not by much. (not a show off)
    3. The bard gets nervous around you and has flutters around you.

Well now here's the thing, while we may not have states explicitly that while riding we would get to control where we go, the item in question, ie. riding privileges is assumed to include controlling where the mount goes. While this is often overlooked and forgotten due to the fact that it rarely comes up (most animals not being smart enough to try going anywhere but where they are led), it is still part of the package.

tl;dr- Yes, we do indeed get to decide where we go while riding. Dragon isn't the only fae that can get hyper-technical.

Very well, you wish to challenge the bard in their own area of expertise.

you will need to find a way to cheat though, for as skilled as you are, you are not quite sure that you would win in a straight match...

    a. try to get the most appealing, elabroate costume as pic related to try and throw them off balance?
    b. try and get the dance to be a very slow sensual dance, or a fast erotic tango type dance?

"ahh My Princess, what a wonderful delight,
to grace us with your presence and a visage of your sight. How might I help you this fine day? Just say the word, and I shall do whatever you say."

    rolled 9, 17, 19, 15, 20 = 80

The bard begins playing on a lute the most beautiful love song you ever heard. thought it is simplistic, it has a practiced rythm to it, as if has been played many times before. Perhaps it was the first song the bard ever wrote? you certainly never heard it before, but you get the strong feeling it is about you, and was mdae for you, even though it was never intended for you to hear it.

    It touches your heart...

But with some much at stake, you cant afford to lose, so you begin to circle about the bard, wrap your arms around the bards waist, and lay your head on the bards shoulder while slowly swaying with the bard as you hum the song softly off beat.

he is at a - 7 for all rolls. straigth d20 rolls for purposes of this.

playing your harp masterfully, you win the hearts of everyone as the crowds errupt in applause as you turn to notice the entire kingdom showed up to witness the contest.

The bard is staring down, tears streaming. after a few moments the bard composes themself.

"I give... I concede defeat and surrender. Please, I beg you relief, my heart is too tender. I accept your terms, for it is not such a horrid tragedy.

As my word as a fae, I shall do what you say, never say nay, follow you until the end of days, come what may or whatever may lay, we can be on our way your majesty.

yet, when confronted with other fae, it tends not to work out that way as most of them know each other's tricks.

The bard looks up at your eyes and for the briefest of moment, looks at you with absolute hope and trust. the bard averts their eyes back down. but a smile creeps on to the bard's face.

"then I suppose the only left for us to do is prove it...."

You hug the bard tightly. And all three of you get ready to prepare for your adventures the next day.
