02/06/10(Sat)19:11 No.7954925>>7954767 Damit, now I have to act in-character. Le sigh.
"I'm not sure what I'll do once I find Six; I guess we could keep helping you and the Architects understand human tech better. But sooner or later, it would be nice to settle down somewhere and just live for a change. No missions, no danger, just a normal life.
As to how humanity will react... The last thing that happened before I went into stasis was a large war between humanity and an alien race. Our leaders declared them an extreme thread, and we destroyed them. For some reason that is still unclear to me, our final act of destroying their homeworld was enough to change their minds about the alien race and become horrified at what they'd done. A bit hypocritical considering that it was fairly obvious that the enemy was indeed sentient all along, contrary to the propaganda.
As a last effort, they began to attack many of our worlds, killing thousands. An understandable reaction, given that it had just been demonstrated that there really was no hope of us letting them live peacefully. Humanity hid itself, all except for the Fleet Council which stayed on our home planet in the face of possible destruction, as an act of humility." Here we pause to sneer, amused by how ridiculous their actions were.
"Though those who ordered the attack are gone now, I would not doubt that there are more people who would be xenophobic, people in positions of power who would have no qualms about setting out to reclaim any world now inhabited by any of the races now prevalent in the galaxy.
To be honest, I am biased in this matter. I hold no love for what has been done to me and Six, as well as the other HANAs. I do not think we are worth breaking your people apart over. And as for the fate of humanity... I sometimes think I should have let Six destroy them when we had the chance." |
