Only one library is listed, attached to the city's royal university, but you know that many wealthy collectors and most mages will likely have extensive book collections. Unfortunately, those are not shown on the map.
>>7573195 Deciding to think on the matter, you turn back to Sarai, who is carefully applying flesh-colored paints to her pale face. "Put your face on, you said? How do you do that?" You hope that it's clear from context that you are wondering how she manages without a mirror.
She responds without looking at you, presumably absorbed in her work. "Practice, practice, practice. I've done this every day for the last forty years and some, since I decided that it would be a good idea. Originally, I had friends- live ones, obviously- help out, but they're long gone now."
You watch her work for a long moment in silence. Her movements are sure and swift, but you realize after a moment that she goes over the same places repeatedly, presumably in case she missed a spot and wouldn't be able to tell. You suspect that she would never pass for a woman not wearing makeup, even if she does manage to look more alive than any other vampire you've seen.
>>7573257 Gelatinous cubes are not summoned, but rather crafted from various ingredients. Likewise, elementals are not summoned, but rather animated from existing elements.
>>7573240 >>7573257 You decide that you should probably scout out the route which the silver shipment is going to take into the city tomorrow, so that you can find a good place to attack it, and realize with a start that you have no idea which road it will be on. You know that it's coming from Sevdia, but you've never heard of the place; where is it in relation to here? You'll need to figure this out somehow before tomorrow.
What do you do? |
