12/13/10(Mon)10:48 No.13136646I agree with Pompeius' analysis; it does appear that Morwayne used this entire battle as nothing but a very complicated assassination plot in order to eliminate his older brother and competition for his father's holdings. An alternative interpretation, though less likely, is that whatever this organization is (red hammer and black anvil), they assassinated Morwayne and replaced him with a double, and they're aiming to get one of their agents to inherit Stant's position.
Either way, we should inform our superiors of our success, and of this organization's presence. Also, now that we have 3 weeks of resting that we can do, we can get those reinforcements, and have our mercs replenish their numbers if they want to sign up for our raiding campaign into Uurlanth territory.
Also, with our victory, I think we can afford to send Nomz much needed support. I suggest sending 4 of our heavy repeaters and our improved ballista, the 454th with Cornelius, the 50th with Finian, and the 65th with Kyria. If we load the siege engines onto wagons and we have some captured horses to pull them, as well as putting our soldiers on wagons as well, they could move a lot faster than if they marched normally. Also, with this many experienced and ranged forces, if Nomz can get his enemy to settle into a static battle line, then our Scouts, Rangers, and artillery could lash the enemy while being protected by Cornelius' heavy infantry. |
