Nerves Beurne (pronounced Burn, I suppose).

Fearless regiment of illiterate (hence the name) thrill seekers, out to kill xenos and shred some waves, man.

Recruiting mainly from the disillusioned youth of various imperial worlds, this regiment is always looking for the next high - and never stopping to consider anything else. Narcotics are ubiquitous, and many are eager to sample what ever world they visit has to offer (be it food, women, drinks, or extreme sports). Needles to say, they are often posted to death worlds.

Boasting a variety of skills ranging from mountain climbing to pot holing, and high altitude jumping to surf boarding, not to mention being insane enough to attempt these during battle, this fighting force has a decent track record for fighting the Imperiums foes, and is well known for tacking the unconventional, or most 'radical', approach.

Formed to deal away with undesirable elements of society, this force has performed surprisingly well; it has always been a thorn in the side of the commissariat, though, with most new commissars either going insane with rage or losing all sense of discipline after a few months.

    Louis kervarm

Named after their legendary captain, the Kervarm 235th are unique amongst the guard due to their widespread use of cybernetic enhancement. Their favored modification is that of the "Kervarm", an arm substitute that is basically a large pincer-like vice situated at the end of a mass of hydraulic pistons. They are revered for their nigh suicidal mass charges and the horrific damage their Kervarm troops inflict on vehicles and soldiers.

Primary colors: Burgundy and gunmetal gray.

    >Saffin Securing

Recruited from a Hive World where Mega Corporations replaced the governments in a series of coups. Saffin Securing was a 'security force' organized in the exact same way as a PDF. Such security forces had, in fact, totally replaced the traditional PDF, only to function in exactly the same way, albiet at the beck and call of the Mega Corporations which now ran the Hives.

Ultimately after the infighting ran it's course the only changes were cosmetic as far as the greater Imperium was conscerned, and as such it didn't care as long as SF organizations were provided in leiu of PDF regiments, and the work in the hive cities continued in the Emperor's name.

    >trowlial Christian
A strange regiment from the world of Trowlial IV, which is a backwards planet, with 38,000 year old technology. Soldiers use autoguns, and wear heavy flak armor that looks like metal plate. All soldiers are armed with close combat weapons like pikes, as well as the aforementioned auto guns. Known for their mechanical horses, and claims of the Emperor's name being "Jesus Christ".
They have legends of the Emperor being crucified (possible Chaotic influence? must investigate further) and rising from the grave (Tzeentch?). This cross has become their symbol, fronted with an aquila.

It is normal for them to suffer more than 10000 to 1 losses, when sending waves upon waves of conscripts without any armor or weapons agains horrific daemons, bloodthirsty xenos and heavily armored war machines. The Numerous think nothing of such losses, as nearly a billion new conscripts are sent to them from Bilria every day. There are even rumours of using conscripts launched from near-space as cheap kinetic weapons. The Numerous are quite liked by the Mechanicum, seeing as they don't allow any kind of technology to be hurt in battle.

    Restaxes Economica

Every planetary and system governor is given a wide leeway in the tithes it may levy on his or her population, and similarily every governor is given a great leeway over the penalties he can set for failing to pay these taxes.
Corporal Punishment, upto and including death are common, as is using them as slave labour in menial labour camps.
The Restaxes Economica are what happens to those who fail to pay their taxes on the world of Rigant II. Essentially a form of Penal Legion the Economica are armed with slightly better weapons and armour than most Penal Legions, with their explosive collars replaced with automated pain dispensors. This is due to the Regiment being formed with the funds supplied to the planet to raise an imperial guard levy.
Primarily a Mechanised Infantry Regiment, the Restaxes Economica has served on Lastrati, Octavius and St Capilene with relative distinction. For a penal legion at least.

Imperial guard from the planet Enesis are drafted at an early age and trained by warrior priests of the local Ecclesiarchy as well as high ranked members of the Enesis planetary army, they are taught that joining the guard is a great honor unworthy of commoners, that they alone were hand picked to serve in the guard and will be regarded as heroes upon Enesis. To have their names carved into the great plinth of Damemari city the capital of Enesis and where a great shrine of the emperor resides. when the tithe ships arrive to retrieve Enesis' guardsman payment there is an enormous celebration around the entire planet.
The Enesis Danz are brave and honorable warriors, always obeying orders even to self destruction, they are fierce and dedicated to the imperial cause and many Guardsmen of the Enesis Danz (who survive) move on to become Commissars. Their laz guns are made to a particularly distinct pattern and their uniforms are dark and often have extra pieces of armor hanging off them with officers wearing distinct blue greatcoats. a small interestingly shaped buckler is also a part of their uniform, but many soldiers prefer not to wear the extra armor in favor of maneuverability (because of course the emperor protects!).

The mighty fleet of Elinday is a planet in its own right. The actual planet of Elinday is manned by monsterous machines, destroying the world and plundering its rich minerals. Less than 3000 people actually live on it, though it is even larger than Holy Terra.
Instead, the populace abandoned the ruined world and lives now in a massive Hive-Fleet. Numberless smaller craft circle the world, with over a thousand warships watching over them, especally the three main priorities.
A large group of Agri-Ships, dotted above the equator of the doomed world, supply food to 1/3 of the fleet.
The mighty vessel, The Grand Commerce, handles trade with all incoming ships, shipping out tons of metals and tools by the hour, while bringing in food from nearby Agri-Worlds to supplement the population.
And last, but most important is the enormous space station, Imperial Deliverance. Half the size of Terra's moon, Luna, the Deliverance housed the government of the hive-fleet, as well as the local Imperial Guard. It's more precious feature, howerver, was the massive Catherdral of Man that was in its bowels. A trillion souls can attend a single sermon in the hollow center of the artifical moon.
With such a high concentration of materials and faithful, the forces of Chaos look to the Elinday Hive-Fleet for combat and heretica converts, and so the guardsman forces are always on duty.
They are the Cathedral Guard, ready to give their lives en mass for the Imperial Deliverance. Masters second only to the Emperor's angels of death, the Space Marines, in ship to ship combat and boarding assaults, they stand ever watchful for the forces of Chaos, lest the Cathedral falls, and with it, the entire Elinday Sector.

    >Gunslinger theburbon

    - The Bourbon Gunslingers, most feared men ever to sent foot on a desert terrain. Hailing from their home world of Dustbowl, constant sand storms and generally poor visibility have honed this regiment to specialise to short-ranged fire and evasion tactics.

Using dunes, wind-banks, storms and their natural heat resistance to their advantage, The Bourbon Gunslingers can turn battles in conditions too harsh for other Guardsmen.

The 'Bourbon' in their name comes not merely from the camouflage they wear, but also from an unusual combat drug they take before protracted battles. While clearly not Bourbon whiskey to the taste, the odd liquid has a striking resemblance in both smell and colour, he also must be taken in a 35ml measure to be effective.

The drug itself, natural to a certain method of crop distillation on Dustbowl, enables The Bourbon Gunslingers to go much longer without need for water and goes a long way to staving off the effects of heatstroke.

Given the mix of this potent drug and their unusual training, The Bourbon Gunslingers are masters of harsh desert warfare.

    Part 1
In the Eastern Fringes of the Segmentum Solar lies the sandworn planet of Togictra. On this planet over 60% of its planescape are perpetual deserts. Its other 40% however is a scattered variation of different climates from arctic to temperate. In the 689 year of the 41st the planet was discovered by the Imperial Ship "Transcending Hammer". The planet immediatly swore feality to the Emperor and with this the Imperial vessel emparted some of its technology to the people. The vessel departed shortly after and logged the planet in its database to be sent to through the long network up to Holy Terra itself.........

    Part 2
When another Imperial Vessel returned to the Togictra in the 921 year of the 41st it found that the planet had gone through much during the the timeframe when the last known Imperial Vessel passed through. In the span of just over 200 years the planet had fallen into several planetary civil wars until no more then 50 years before the second Imperial arrival had the planet entered a peaceful cycle. These several Civil Wars however had hardened the people of Togictra. Specialized troops from all the different climates were born from these wars enabling the forces of Togictra to be incredibly versatile for all different enviroments. With the second arrival of the Imperium however it also had found the economically the planet was collapsing as well. The planetary lords exhanged the consistent service of their military for help in saving the planet from entering yet another civil war. From that moment on the Togictra Tactical Raiders were born.....

    56th Togictra Tactical "Arctic Rams"
67th Togictra Tactical "Ghillie Ghouls" (has the highest amount of snipers in Togictra's military)

    >the gloite

The Gloite is a creature native to Baravan V. Despite it's small size and unassuming appearance, 'The Gloite' is widely known for being one of the more dangerous creatures on-world. Though an herbivore, the gloit is more than capable of taking down creatures many times it's size due to it's unique bone structure and powerful jumping legs. The long and short is that it will literally propel itself like a bullet, impaling creatures that threaten it. It's extreme speed makes it obscenely difficult to catch, let alone avoid when angered. Still, it's a mild mannered creature, and can often be seen hanging out around human settlements, warming up to the residents for scraps of food.

Baravan V's 15th regiment has modeled themselves on this philosophy. Specializing in close order drills and CQB tactics, the 15th 'Gloite Regulars' are known for their viciousness when provoked. Unlike other regiments, the 15th voluntarily forgoes days off, instead drilling for only a portion of every day. This has given them the unique appearance of always having the day off, as they spend much of the remainder of every day relaxing.

The 15th aren't loafers, however, as was seen during the heresy on Garagos. True to their namesake, the Gloite regulars defied all logic and reason by spearheading an infantry assault straight through the heart of a tank column, turning the large vehicles into narrow passages where their close drilling made them a force to be reckoned with. So stymied by the vicious and unexpected attack was the enemy tank commander, that he surrendered after only five minutes of close quarters fighting had rendered his armored column useless.

    >maeminav and

The Maeminav Armoured Naval Division has its roots as a unit of sea-borne armoured cavalry which was part of the PDF Marine Corps of the planet Maeminav.

Following the devastation of most of Maeminav's navy in internecine warfare the Imperieum stepped in and ordered that several of the most aggressive parties in the civil war be founded into Imperial Guard regiments and sent on crusade. This allowed the people of the warring nations to glory in the honour of their martial heroes, and also removed the sectarian firebrand soldiers from the politically volatile planet.

The Armoured Naval Division and five other units from various sides in the conflict were sent on separate crusades. At this time it is believed only the Maeminav AND survives.

Their name has been officially changed to "Maeminav AND"- the three letters are no longer an acronym for anything, and munitorum administration staff have often been confused by paperwork in which the letters are not capitalised. "Maeminav and who?" being a popular question when they are campaigning.

    >>12405366
Originally the unit was equipped primarily with home grown Maeminav light tanks specially designed for amphibious operations. These Eel Assault Tanks sacrificed crew space for speed and weaponry- the crew of one commander/gunner and one driver were responsible for a turret mounted autocannon with a woefully small amount of ammunition and a centrally mounted light lascannon. These vehicles are being steadily depleted by the toils of war and are being replaced by much slower Leman Russ battle tanks, changing the unit's fighting style from lightning attacks from dropships to standard armoured cavalry operations backed up by heavy tanks.

In addition to the armoured vehicles, the Maeminav AND maintains two squadrons of armoured infantry. Mounted in Chimeras since their induction into the guard due to the unsuitability of their bulky amphibious vehicles these squadrons of four platoons still retain their demolitions training from the days when they were expected to blow up fortifications on the hostile beaches of their home planet.

Trudging through the sand and examining the burnt points in his armour, of which were caused by lasgun fire, he pondered if the slaughter of the Imperial Guard there was almost over.
Marching up a sand dune, he saw something that even shocked a warrior whose very battle role had been shock and awe for almost five thousand years.

A whole regiment of infantry, with a few leman russ battle tanks here and there, lined up in formation in the valley of sand.

Not wanting to steer himself away from slaughter, blood and potential favour from Khorne, Itravian charged in, revving his chainsaw.

The guard were caught entirely unaware, indeed, they showed no signs of even noticing him! As soon as he closed in on a guardsman, he smashed down the axe, smashing the guardsman and sending plastic splinters flying everywhere!
    Wait...
Itravian managed to halt entering his bloodlust in this time of confusion.

The Havskeld Pages were once the pages of Havskeld's knights, the warrior class on the feudal world of Havskeld. Once contacted by the Imperium it quickly proceeded towards industrialization in only a few short generations. However, the sudden increase in wealth and power for Havskeld's ruling class, the knights, led to them quickly growing arrogant, turning their backs on the Emperor. Beset on all sides by loyal Imperial forces suddenly warping into their system, Havskeld's knights attempted to conduct a mass sacrificial ritual to summon the daemons of Chaos to do their bidding. Being the only true 'military' of Havskeld, the Havskeld knights were almost completely unopposed.

Almost. In their arrogance, they had forgotten that their own pages and squires that they themselves had trained and armed had not yet forsaken the Emperor. And so young boys and young men took up arms against their former masters. It was a bloody battle-Their casualties were high, even by Guard standards, but, backed by Havskeld's populace, they managed to defeat their traitorous masters before the Imperial Fleet arrived to conduct Exterminatus on the planet. Impressed with the valor of Havskeld's pages, the Inquisition spared that world, and inducted the Pages into the ranks of the Guard, where they are frequently sent to battle daemons to atone for the sins of their former masters. It is an activity which the Pages display a surprising proficiency at.

To this day they refuse to adopt the title of 'Knight', keeping the atrocities of those heretics burned into their memories. They are simply Havskled's Pages, the loyal servants of the Emperor. And that is enough.

A radical regiment from the Segmentum Pacificus planet Nomntial. The planet was forgotten from imperial records for several thousand years, leading the people on it to forget the Imperium in turn. The planet then became to think of itself as the only place where humanity survived and its people grew a strong sense of pride and determination fighting off Ork raids and infrequent Waaaaghs. After its rediscovery, it was at first deemed to be a traitor world and attacked by the Imperium itself, seeking to recolonise the planet from these traitors who had cast aside the glorious God Emperor. But the determination of the Nomntial to fight on and protect their homeland proved itself. After a bloody war, it was decided to instead of wiping out the population, Nomntial would be conquered and used as a source of troops for the Imperial Guard.
The planet once again became part of the Imperium and its citizens servants to the God Emperor. The MCXXVI Nomntial Regiment was created. But the pride of the its people stood firm and a coup took place, in which the Planitary Lord put in there to make sure the world was loyal to the Imperium was overthrown. The regiment was then renamed ‘The Nomntial Patriots’ and immediately sought peace agreeing to fight for the Imperium provided they were officially named as a “free planet”.
This proposition was accepted, more by luck of a more open minded official being put in charge than anything else, and the planet was once again welcomed as part of the Imperium. However, many do not trust this regiment. They became known for not accepting foreign commissars within their ranks and for many times abandoning their comrades if news that Nomntial is threatened reaches the Patriots. To this day, the planet treads a fine line between usefulness and being deemed traitors. It may not be long before the regiment is deemed heretical and all of Nomntial faces the just punishment this brings

The Absoluta are famed for their expert marksmanship, and almost every historically important Orgetic officer from the rank of Major upwards has served in their ranks.

The Absoluta's nature as a unit whose members can be called upon at any time has often been a source of stress both to Orgetic regiments and the Munitorum in general, and investigations are ongoing into several battles that were lost soon after an Absoluta Clarion message ordered key soldiers and officers away from the front lines to pursue minor objectives
