>>12372793 >>I was actually thinking about /tg/ taking the part of an automated piloting system that could be hooked into the cockpit of existing airframes, with intent to have a computerized hivemind squadron making use of already built fighters. Thanks to a glitch, self awareness develops. It could work out like this pic. Hmmm... reading this again, I have to wonder: too big a suspension of disbelief, having an AI like that? The rest of the quest would otherwise be pretty grounded, if abstracted in some parts to keep things from taking too long on my end (though I HAVE done some distance mapping already, and cross-referencing to various aircraft's maximum combat radiuses).
And to clarify: that pic, or maybe this one, as another example--that's your character. All of them, at once.
System would be a modded AW21C, mixed with one called Android.
>>12372859 I've been doing a lot of campaign preplanning, and a pilot wasn't something I figured on. Human wingmen, yes. Humans that need to be coordinated, even bargained, with to ensure that you keep getting the precious fuel and maintenance to keep you airborne (not to mention runway use, AGI use to keep you powered when engines are cold, a crew to load ammunition onto your racks--cause you don't have hands)? Yes. Humans on the ground that need support or can provide it, yes. I figure that time on the ground will end up as important as time in the air.
>>12372811 This looks handy. Thanks. |
