Returning from my slumber, I bring you.. DARK ELDAR QUEST!

    previous thread:

Summary in brief; you're a gang fighter and one helluva survivor. You've been recruited to participate in a raid by a minor Kabal. You've not even started yet, but the clock is ticking. You're meeting some interesting people, that's for certain. Your existence up until this point borders between 'lucky' and 'insanely skilled' though we'll see how long that lasts.

OP, your pic is truly horrifying.

You have my attention for whatever comes next.

Well, we seem to be well armed. I think our first course of action should be to procure some armor. It'd be nice to have something between us and the enemy, especially if we're in the front row. Either that or we need to be invisible.

Strangely Emerrax didn't give you any armour.. was it because you said something? In the recesses of your mind.. you don't think you'll need any anyway. Terror is better than any hull or plating.

You admire yourself in the light. Strange black/green slime climbs *up* the walls and you can swear you see.. robotic tentacles in the distance. Whatever Emerrax and his friend are, they sure don't like Eldar aesthetics.

You look at your time piece.. you have around 45 minutes to go. You can
    >inspect the medical bays
    >visit the Hall of Wailing
    >peek into the Incubi chambers
    >anything else you perceive you want to do.

[combat drugs will likely be supplied, though it wouldn't hurt to check the medical bays]

You make your way back to the landing zone. First you come across the Incubi chambers...

Courage swells up inside you.. you open the massive door a tiny fraction and peek through..

    It's completely empty.

What a disappointment! Moreover.. what could possibly require the attention of every Incubi in the Kabal?

Pressing on, you pass the medical bay, scanning it as you go by. A strange machine is there, like a globe with many arms, cleaning an operating table. The remainder of the room, as you intimately know, is around the corner. Any valuable stimulants are locked away securely.

Lastly you arrive at the hall of wailing. An immense door, black and solid is before you. Closer inspection reveals it to be made of many, many different kinds of material.. shale, sleet, obsidian glass.. burnt wood.. many different shades of black but dark none the less. You enter..

You push the doors open.. they slide apart soundlessly. You're surprised that the material makes no noise.. it is quite evidently partially disintegrating on the floor as you push it..

Inside you see something you never wished you had.. rows of bodies, hung by hooks through the backs of their shoulders like a butchery. Eldar bodies, strange hoofed blue things and *mockeries* all hang there. In a series of glowing green vats to your left you see *mockeries*.. [pic related].. it's *staring* at you.. it has no mouth.. no eyes.. no ears.. but it follows you with its head. Oh Gods...

You back out and close the door behind you.. you run for the landing zone. *What kind of monsters are being made here!?*

You arrive at the landing zone.. 20 minutes to go, you want to take your mind off what you've seen.. what will you do?

Well, either meditate, masturbate, or fuck. If we choose to fuck, pick someone attractive, athletic, but low in rank. Someone who won't refuse and can't cause trouble or make claims later.

That or we try and find where the incubi went.

I suggest we intimidate one of our inferiors with our fancy weapon and rape them at gunpoint.

If we can't find anyone suitable for that purpose, then just take some drugs and masturbate.

You think carefully over what you've seen the last hour.. the pale beings were shorter than an eldar. Squa-
No. Just shorter.. more muscular, in a morosely fat kind of way. Not so much definition as pure bulk. They were riddled with scars of puncture holes, gashes and cuts. You've got a few of your own, *a few* but nothing like these other *things*.

Your impression of your brief conversation with them was that they were old, their position in the Kabal as armourers.. and potentially *Homunculi* sends shivers down your spine. What are they, really? Should we ask someone? What was going on with those things in the vats?

You humour the idea that even though they're strange, they've been the nicest things to you since your arrival at the Kabal...

You idly inspect your surroundings, the warriors around you are making the final preparations. You see your assigned squad grouping up and you move over to meet them.

    Next action?

You walk briskly over to your squad mates. Previously you didn't know the groups assignment, but now you know you're in a forward team the excitement begins to build.

An actual battle. You know deep within this will completely dwarf the sad excuse for a war your Gilded Sheathe gang had with the Black Cutters. You understand that priorities within the Kabals have shifted over the last decade or so, from merely abducting slaves en masse, to more piratical raids for information and gear.

It's a whisper on everyones lips.. 'Commorragh is dying'. You wouldn't be sad to see the end of the Dark City, but it will always be in you, you know. The screams, the fear, the monsters prowling the streets.

All your comrades are dressed in full battle gear. An impressive host. You are wearing a skin-tight suit, evidently with some kind of stealth mechanism within. You otherwise have no notable equipment, the warriors saying nothing as you fiddle with the bizarre weapon you're holding. You get the impression they've seen one before.

    [contd]

    >>12359327
A shout comes from the background. Your commander is rousing everyone. The warriors stand bolt straight, in a neat pair of rows. You look around awkwardly. There's nowhere for you to stand.

"Warriors! Our beneficent Lords have given us, a *quest*. A world that our Lords have had their eye on, for some time, is under siege from Orks, Space Marines and *chuckle* of course, our meddlesome cousins. Why strike at some place already filled with violence and enemies who are *prepared*? A fair question, but not one I am to ask. Each of you have your orders, the initiates will prove themselves and we the elite will concern ourselves with the *prize*. Show no mercy! Anything that turns a weapon to us is to die! Slaves are a matter of convenience today, *not* a priority! I expect something more creative from my Host today, not simple trinkets or mewling weaklings. Do not let me down."

As if struck my divine writ, all warriors simultaniously mount their Raiders. You are grabbed by the arm and yanked onboard. A warrior behind you slaps a crude headpiece into your hands. The Raider lurches upward, engines screaming - you're thrown to the back of the vessel as it whips forward like a daemon.

A bright orange-purple disk opens before the nose of the Host and a nausiating sense of vertigo grabs you.

    [contd]

    >>12359426
The shock fades quickly.. you're flying over white clouds, in a clear blue sky. The Host is moving ungodly fast, the terrain beneath you like a fine carpet and you running the length of a hall.

    Turning to the warrior closest to you, you scream to be heard over the roar of the wind and engines;
    "What's down there!?"
    The warrior tilts its head slightly, regarding you;
"Space Marines. Human demi-gods of war. More than a match for you."
The voice comes across clearly through the headpiece, leaving you feeling incompetent for screaming at him.
"Orks, green monsters. Protracted fights with them are not recommended."
    The warrior pauses. You stare at him blankly. He is looking at you calmly, his gaze meeting yours;
"And our Craftworld cousins. Avoid them if you can. Your legendary luck will not help you. They manipulate time and space. They are relentless and unfeeling. You will get killed."

You sink back and peer over the edge of the raider again. Beneath you a massive, massive city looms. The structure itself seems to be heaving, like a breathing animal. Thick clouds of smoke belch from buildings. Clouds that turn every which-way and rip down the streets like a swarm of carrion locusts. The whole city is a sickly bronze/green. Explosions can be seen in the distance. Bright, graceful vehicles cruise across the edge of the cities outer walls, engaging the defense forces stationed here.

To the south Black and White bawkses rumble down the streets and to the north-east, crude red wheeled vehicles roll in from a destroyed gate.

Everyone is headed for the city centre.

    >86

A bright beam of light pierces the cloud, spearing through the aft of your vessel. The Raider begins spiraling madly, losing altitude and the sudden loss of the protective shielding around the craft causing a massive rush of air to sweep in, sucking two of the warriors out. Their screams don't last long however, you see a pair of green and white flying craft tearing up toward you, blasting the falling warriors with energy weapons before pulling sharply up to engage the remainder of the Host.

Spinning madly in a dead vessel you plummet toward the city below. The warriors still on board yelling at each other, attempting repairs on the vessel. It's still operational, though only just.

Another minute passes and you are facing a crash landing straight into a large building, long and rectangular, with a sharp roof. On the front is a picture.. a golden man with a sun behind him..

You come to. The vessel crashed, badly, on the roof of a nearby structure. It had a garden on top, a condo, which cushioned the impact. You yourself are lying at the edge of a pond, your legs float limply, you see figures moving..
