09/21/10(Tue)20:57 No.12174263You're not sure how Bird'll take it - the two have been at each others' throats more than once - but so far, Vlad's proven to be a decent guy, and if there's anything you've tried to be consistent on in the Zone, it's not leaving others in the lurch. "Well," you say, "You're free to travel with us until you decide what to do. We don't really roll with the factions, either. After the bullshit we've been through, it only seems right."
Vlad's expression is unreadable, but the relief in his voice can be heard, "I appreciate that. I know how you stalkers feel about the army," he pauses, "Plus, you're pretty much the only folks I've met in the Zone that haven't shot at me or my mates. Least I can do is help throw a little lead at the Zone nasties."
"Well, you're going to need a stalker name if you're coming with us," it's Damsel, who's appeared behind the two of you along with Bird while you were talking, "because Corporal Vladimir Mikhailovich Kuznetsov, sir yes sir, won't do," she gives him a small smile to let him know she's ribbing.
Bird sits down, grunting as his knees pop, "Well, we'll have to make it good. What about Colonel Cosmo?"
Vlad merely looks at the stalker, unsure how to reply, then he speaks, "There's no way you're calling me that, it sounds like an American cartoon," Damsel laughs at his indignant tone, "I mean, you get cool stalker names like Twitch, and...ah, Bird...and," he trails off, "Actually, maybe I should just come up with my own stalker name."
You snort in amusement. |
