Elma chuckles slightly, impressed. "Well, I'm not even sure if our elders will even let you in to the village, but it's not like we can call them or write a letter. Vieran settlements are officially known to the general public, but I think you could probably count the number of outside visitors to one of them during the last hundred or so years on one hand." Laya nods, folding her towel neatly. She smells like incense. "Yes, Vieran society is very insular... I doubt you will be received very eagerly. But it is most likely our only option... Luckily, our village is not far from here, considering. It should not be too much trouble to get there, and it would only be for a little while." Fyna nods, clapping a hand on your shoulder. "Yeah, it's not like you've got a job anyways. Then again, neither do I..." Elma nods with finality, cementing the decision, and looks out at the sun. It is nearing midday. "We should get going, if we want to be back before dark." She turns to Nieve, whose gaze is fixed on her knees. Her tone is somewhat softer than you're used to. "I know you don't want to go back, but no one's going to turn you away. You know how they worry about you. If you really don't want to go, I won't force you." Nieve sighs, looking at you for a moment. "No, I'll go. It's my responsibility, anyways." Looks like that's that. You should probably get ready for a whole day's journey, and sort any remaining issues out now. |
