OP, great thread, you do a good job at creating atmosphere and setting a tone. However... your ending was... too quick,,and too underplayed. A little more drama and mystery would be nice. Ofcourse a mystery is never as scary when revealed, so it's hard to work around that, but it could have been better. So hey, good thread, good DMing, keep practicing (yeah, it's just a ploy to manipulate you into making more threads)

What you COULD have done instead is tried to take Cleo away and manage to protect her. THEN the other elements would have come into play more. The fetuses would have come alive. The plants would try to attack you, a demonic maelstrom would have tried to tear you asunder. But she would have lived.
