Hey, sorry for not showing up last night like I said I would. Something came up.
    http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Bard+Quest%2C+Collective+Game

Last time you finally visited the tailor, found a strange shop in an alley were you purchased a spyglass that allows you to pear into the past, as well as an ordinary one, visited a real estate agent, and Ruby was pick-pocketed. With the help of the kebab vendor Ralph you were able to get her money back. After talking to the party, it looks like you'll be touring two of the houses before you make a final decision.

Tonight's show was another success! Although you still have no idea what Gregor does that makes the crowd go wild, and once more The Ballad of Grue was well received. You got a little more then last night, 60 silver. Jak and Hester are cleaning up and the common room is nearly empty. The party and yourself turn when you head a loud clapping and a familiar deep voice rolls across the room. "You did very well tonight my friends! My regulars were right! And I sold many kebabs! Here, have a few, my treat!"

You smile and take one of the offered kebabs. You introduce everyone to Ralph, the friendly vendor who helped Ruby catch the man who pick-pocketed her. Ralph laughs, another deep chuckle that you can't help but join in with. "You were all very good! Very lovely singing and playing, impressive feats of skill and strength... very pleasing dancing. You all shall make a very impressive name for yourselves! And I sold many of my kebabs as well... I think I shall come tomorrow night if you play again here. Profit for all, which is good for all!"
As Ralph talks with the others you pull Newt to one side. Deferring to her better knowledge of magic, you show her the Pastscope, telling her what it is. Newt takes a look through it and gasps. "I've heard of these! There... very rare actually. Not as rare as scopes allowing you to peer into the future, I'm not sure those even exist to be frank, but pretty rare. Where did you say you go this?"

As Ralph leaves the in you walk up to him, informing him that it is a very real possibility that you'll be movie into a house starting tomorrow, and that you'll update him as to the new location of your act. "Very good. My stall is int he same place. I only get the cart out for special occasions. Like Parades! Oh, speaking of which, in a few days there will be a parade along the Main Street. You ask Ralph which god, it might be smart to brush up on their lore. Ralph shrugs his wide shoulders. "There are so many gods these days and I worship so few. I sell my food, and that is that. I serve enough different meats that at least some of my kebabs won't offend someone. Now if you will excuse me, I must head home."
Well Ta'kal is a Paladin, he might know. You catch him as he heads up the stairs. "Oh yes, I know what the day is. It's a holiday of Kord. We normally celebrate with physical activities, sports events and the like. I was speaking with Jak about it yesterday. The area will be open. I've... well I've already volunteered myself as a judge. And you suggest that he might be able to give Tabby a few tips. Good way to score some points. Ta'kal laughs and looks down the hall. "Yes they both can. When you go to the Arena tomorrow all the rules will be posted. You should hurry, Ruby is getting impatient."
Excusing yourself you move down the hall. You saved the scraps of silk, and some of them are long, perfect for tieing a certain ranger up. As you step inside Ruby pretends to scowl at you. "About time. I was getting lonely!" You set down your pack and take out the Silk scraps. "And what are you planning on doing with those?" You grin and show her. That sorted out, you head downstairs, still in your silk Pajamas. Why is it you and Ruby always seem to be the last ones awake? The rest of the Party is downstairs around a table, and Ta'kal is telling them about the festivities. "Good morning. Grue and Tabby have agreed to participate in the contests, but I have not been able to talk to Ruby. They will need to sign up before tonight."

Putting them away, you take out Elisabeth, which you DID bring today. A little show here will only help your reputation. The two other bards and yourself play a few songs and Zanne does a few dances. You don;t really have the time for anything showy, so the others help to attract a crowd. You get a few silvers, but mostly everyone just stands around enjoying the show.
10 o'clock rolls around, and Mr. Pilder steps out of his office, a cape and fancy hat on. "Good damn Ma'am. Shall I show you to the properties? And which shall we tour first? The seven bedroom is closer."

You compliment Mr. Pilder on his excellent dress sense, and ask to see the seven bedroom first. "Thank you kindly. Very well then, if you would please follow me..."
Mr. Pilder leads you to a more middle class area of the city. A park sits across the road from the building he shows you to. "This property used to be a small boarding house. There is one bathroom on the first floor, right near the water pump. A warming fire can be lit underneath and heat the bathwater in mere minutes. Three bedrooms, the kitchen, a large storage room, and a common room on the ground floor, four bedrooms on the top. The building is in good repair, though I will admit that the roof could be re-tiled. However it is not the rainy season and you should be leaving before then." The rooms aren't huge, but Grue and Ta'kal can fit through the doorways fairly easily.
The nearby stables leave a little something to be desired. "These are run by the city. Affordable to nearly any budget." The hay in the stables looks like it hasn't been changed in a few days and you can see water damage to the walls. The feed they give to the animals looks fresh, however, and the staff look like they know their way around animals. "Three silver a week per animal."

"As I said, it was previously a boarding house, which tenants paying for rooms monthly. I acquired the building after the previous owner passed away from old age. The city held a public auction."
As for your party members, none of them seem to mind the prospect of staying in the house itself, but Tabby and Zanne dislike the look at the stables. Tabby is the first to voice her problems. "It looks like the kind of place that sells off the horses after a few weeks and loses the paperwork for them."
Zanne brushes a strand of her hair out of her eye. "The stables are not clean. We will need the horses for when we leave. It will be bad if they get sick."
Mr. Pilder seems angry that the stables are sub-par. "You are the second group to overlook the house because of the stables. I shall have to buy them and straighten them up."

You ask Mr. Pilder, does he even have a first name you wonder, to take you to the larger house. He nods. "I shall have to summon a couch... or two." A short coach ride later, the housing has gotten significantly better and bigger, you come upon the larger house. A stone wall surrounds the property with a big wrought iron gate. A large green lawn encompasses the house, with a small stable tucked away at the side. Plenty large enough for your five horses. The property isn't huge, but it is big. A little bigger then half an acre.
"There are ten bedrooms, including the two in the servant quarters. The servant quarters and three bedrooms on the ground floor, five on the second. Three bathroom, which are connected to an underground spring. The water will be warm as you pump it into the tubs. Many houses in the area connect to the springs. A large kitchen and dining area also rest on the ground floor. There are two drawing rooms. As you can see, the entire property is in excellent repair. You will need to stock the stables when you use them, and any staff will have to be hired by yourselves."

Another selling point are the large rooms and doors. Even Grue doesn't have to duck down to get in them. And the lawn is big enough for you to put on shows in it with a sizable crowd. Hope the neighbors don't mind.
Except for the cleaning, you have most everything covered already. But you hate cleaning, so maybe you'll hire one or two people to do that and help out around the place. But you would like to know about who lived here last.
"My firm has owned this property for many years. We have had many different renters, but so far no buyers. The last to live here were a family and their servants. A Merchant, who unfortunately died very recently on his travels. Apparently he choked to death only a week or so ago. After his death his family moved back to their properties in the Capital City. But enough of such grisly matters."

You've seen enough. You thank Mr. Pilder for the tours, and hand him a sack of money. 500 silver, up front, for two months. He doesn't insult you by trying to count it. He simply puts it into his pocket. Taking a ledger from seemingly nowhere, he opens it. "Excellent. I will need you to sign some paperwork of course, which I have brought with me." You sign a few leases and Mr. Pilder bows to you. "It was a pleasure doing business with you. Should you decide to purchase the house, please contact me. I bid you a good day."
Well, now all you have to do is move in. The house is a little musty, but opening a few windows should fix that. Your party is used to moving around, so it should only take one trip to get everything here.
Tabby walks up to you, smiling. "The stables are dry and in good condition. We'll need to buy straw but we have enough feed for a few days. And we can let the horses graze on the yard until we get some more. Working in a stables kinda reminds me of home."
Zanne is the next to head your way. "I have just taken a look at the kitchen. The pantries are bare, but it has all the pots and pans I could need." The house is fully furnished, and the beds in the 'servant's quarters' are, surprisingly, big enough for Grue and Ta'Kal.
