So, Inquisitor L.J. Gibbs, of the Ordo Hereticus. Formerly a sniper in the Guard, he retains the discipline that this training instilled in him, applying it to his investigations.

He applies both the threat and the application of physical violence to his team, always pushing them towards the truth.

Hints of latent psyker abilities have, as yet, been unfounded, but he does possess a very keen "gut sense," as he terms it

Interrogator Antonius "Tony" DiNozzo, formerly a Gunmetallican Arbitrator. He is brash, cocky, not nearly as popular with the ladies as he would have everyone believe... and a devout servant of the Emperor.

Beneath his flaky exterior lies a stout heart and a canine-like tenacity.

His competitiveness and flirtations lead him into occasional friendly conflict with both male and female (respectively) members of his team.

Acts in Gibbs' stead when the Inquisitor is tied up elsewhere

Sister Caitlyn Todd, of the Order of the Seeking Eye. Sister Todd was recruited by the Inquisitor, after she assisted him with foiling an attempt on a planetary governor's life. During their joint investigation, it was revealed that Sister Todd was working a little TOO closely with some of the security staff. At this point, her Order was preparing sanctions against her. The Inquisitor was only too happy to sieze the opportunity to work with her quick mind and reflexes again, and conscripted her with an Inquisitorial Edict.

Sister Todd, while being a Sister Militant, has worked with both the Orders Dialogus and Famulous, giving her a broad skill set that has proven useful on several occasions in the teams investigations.

"Now see here, Jethro, this particular wound - the flesh is roughly cut, almost torn, while the bone is rather heavily damaged, as if crushed, but over a very narrow area, with little bruising of the surrounding tissue, as if dealt by some sort of large blunt axe, such as one of the crudely-made melee weapons commonly used by orks. However, the rest of the body is largely unmolested, rather unlike a typical orkish victim, which usually suffers multiple such wounds. Quite unusual."

Whats this idea that Tony doesn't get much tail?

Tony is ALWAYS getting tail, he just has commitment issues and screws it up after the third date.

Of course he usually gets her in the sack on the FIRST date so it's not so much of an issue.

Techpriest Timoteus "Tim" McGee is a relatively new inductee to Inquisitor Gibbs' team. He is, socially, very awkward (either as a result of joining the Mechanicum vestry, or the reason for it). He is continually antagonized by Interrogator DiNozzo, who refers to him as "Adeptus Stultius," or "Neophyte."

Of late, however, McGee has begun showing that not only are his technical skills (almost) beyond compare, but he possesses a decent investigative mind, and is a decent shot with his las-pistol.

His Mechadendrite has attachments for interfacing with almost any cogitator database that the team runs across (usually with a great deal of sanctimonius nonsense, which most people think is associated with the Mechanicum. The Mechanicum permits this, as it shows respect for the Omnissiah without revealing their secrets. All binary is synthesized through a white-noise generator)

Magos Biologos Danauld "Anatis" Mallard assists the team. An expert in both human, abhuman, common mutant and many xenos physiologies, Magos Mallard has been to countless worlds, always learning - and he has tales to share about every experience he's ever had. An enhanced internal cogitator ensures that not only can he differentiate between Eldar Shuriken weapon injuries and those inflicted by human hands, but he is certain to have an anecdote that may have a passing association with the subject matter at hand. Possibly.

Assisting Magos Mallard is Initiate Palmer, who has much to learn about the world in which our agents of the Inquisition travel...

Assisting the team is Engineseer Abigaila "Abby" Sciuto. Quirky, even by Techpriest standards, Abby has a strong rapport with the Inquisitor, who appears to treat her as a daughter. Abby has eschewed gratuitous physical augmentations, preferring to expand her cogitator's storage and speed.

She has several Servo-skulls that assist her in her dissection of the various pieces of technical evidence that the team uncovers, each of which she assigns a rank and name, based on their functions.

Abby is never seen without a cup of her favorite staggeringly energizing beverage, Caf-Blam. Inquisitor Gibbs is usually on-hand to provide one, as he well knows the effects of going without one's beverage.

Enginseer Sciuto is adorned with several electoos, many of which may be more than just decorative... [thinking of utilizing them as interfaces for computers, maybe...]

She has been known to play sciphus with some equally eccentric members of the local Sororitas order.

A recent case investigated by Gibbs has revealed that to Officio Assassinorum has managed to place an operative close to a sector-wide chaos cult, specializing in small-level tactics that are quite out of the ordinary for such groups.

Rather than draw attention to themselves, they strike strategic targets that are designed to inflict terror on the populations of their respective planets. These strikes have been highly effective.

An incident wherein two cultist bodies were brought to Magos Mallard's mortuary for examination (the cult's movements may be tracked through evidence left both within and without their bodies; despite the risk of taint, Anatis is more than willing to work on them if it means silencing this cult forever) has left Gibbs with a burning desire to remove the operative. Despite his frequently loose interpretations of rules and guidelines, Gibbs knows that to remove this operative will cost the Calixus Sector the entire investigation, and he is far too professional to risk that.

But he eagerly awaits the moment when he will cross paths with Arium Haswari again...

During the course of this investigation, another member of the same Callidus temple as Naswari was assigned to "provide intel," (in reality, to ensure that the Inquisitor's team didn't get too close to Naswari and blow his cover). This assassin, Ziva Dav'id has shown signs that she doesn't feel entirely comfortable with her dual role. Her ties to her temple are strong (her father is, after all, it's head member), but she resonates with the faith displayed by Gibb's team, and she wonders if her skills might not be better served working with the Inquisition directly, rather than as a servant of her temple.

It would surely take some major event to cause her to make her decision, one way or the other.

It is to note that, perhaps not-so-coincidentally, the operative undercover within the cult is her half-brother.
